Croton july 1887 Fri july 1 st clear and very Xh hot the thermomiter Reg 96 deg in the Shade we finished hoeing corn the {Seceund?} time Sat jun 2 nd clear most of the day and very hot. we were wheeling away the dirt that we dug out for the cistern. and Sprinkling potatoe tops with {pavas?} green sun jul 3 rd clear and very hot So much So that didn't go to Meeting. {This day is noted in red pen} Mon jul 4 th cloudy Some thunder but no rain here a hot day. I was mowing out fence corners & Walter was mowing grass this fore noon, after noon we were helping john Snarey with his wheat. Tue jul 25 th cloudy and hot. we were work-ing at the hay. Wed jul 6 th clear and not So hot, we was work ing at the hay, Thu jul 7 th clear and hot was working at the hay Croton july 1889 {This day is noted in red pen} Fri jul 8 th clear and very hot. was drawing hay Sat jul 9 th Some thunder Showers. we was drawing hay until noon was Stopt by the rain. a hot day Sun jul 10 th clear prety high wind from the North West. more pleasant. Mon jul 11 th clear and hot, we was drawing in hay this fore noon, after noon I was binding wheat for William L Law Walter was miowing grass. Tue jul 12 th clear and very hot. I was help ing William Law bind wheat part of the day. part was drawing hay at home, john Law cutt my rye after tea W. Law j. Snarey & A. Nelson bound it. Wed jul 13 th clear part of the day and very hot. john Law cutt our bit of wheat this fore noon. William Law john Snarey and Albert Nelson was helping us
