Apr 29 th cloudy high wind from the north and cold, we were cleaning and putting up grain to get chopt and spreading meany in the fare noon, after noon was sowingand harrowing peas, finished for this season

Sat Apr 30 th clear and coob, finished harrowing peas and furrowing out the oatground. Walter commenced plowing for corn

Sun May 1 cloudy moning and Evening clear and warm in the middle of the day pretty heavey thunder this Evening

Mon. May 2 nd clear part of the day and warm thunder and a little rain this Evening. Walter was plowing this fore noon I was planting a fiew potatoes, in the after noon Victoria and I went to took Some grain and gat chopt and attendid the Quarterley board.

Tue May 3 rd clear and hot, we were plowing the corn ground. William & yohn Saw was hawling out manure parpair ing a piece of ground for corn that was Sowed with fall wheat and the wire {woruns?} eat it out.

Wed May 4 th clear most of the day and warm were plowing this fore noon, after noon i went to Dresden.

Thu May 5 th cloud and cool. I was wheeling out and spreading manure, Walter was plowing

Fri May 6 th clear and hot, the thermomiter Reg 80 deg. in the shade, finished plowing the field for corn East of the barns

Sat May 7 th clear part of the day and hot. I was transplanting Strawberry vines. Walter was harrowing corn ground.

Mon May 9 th clear most of the day and hot, Walter finished harrowing the corn ground. I was repairing bars and gates in the fore noon afternoon pileing manure, peach plum & cherry and Cherry coming out in blossom

Wed May 11 th clear and hot, we were planting corn and potatoes

Thu May 12 th clear, hot in the middle of the day, cool morning and Evening, we were planting again to day.

Mon May 16 th clear and hot. we took the Steers to Florence this fore noon. that I bargand too Henry Cook last week, after noon I was digging in the garden. Walter was spreading manure.

Tue May 17 th cloudy and cool, I was planting potatoes part of the day, and part repairing fenc. Walter Spreading manure,

Wed May 18 th clear and cool the fore part of the day, latter part hot, we plowd the young Orchard this fore noon. I commenced to plant it this after noon. Mr Skinner Shore the Sheep to day.

Thu May 19 th clear and hot most of the day, I finished planting corn. this fore noon, was repairing fence the rest of the day Walter was drawing rails the fore part of the day, after noon took a lad load of wheat to Dresden for John W Snary.

Fri May 20 th clear and very hot most of the day quite cool. this morning, I went to Dresden for veterinary for the young mare, we got the foal away all right I expected it would be dead, after noon finished planting potatoes. the Thermomiter Reg. 94 deg in the Shade this after noon.

Sat May 21 st clear and very hot the Same as yesterday. we were repairing fences. Bilton brought up Aberdeen Duke and we trimed his feet this afternoon

Mon May 23 rd clear most of the day and hot. Some thunder this Evening. we were dip ing the Lambs this fore noon, afternoon was repairing fence

Tue May 24 th cloudy Showers moning and Evening we cleaned up a load of wheat in the morning the rest of the day drawing out manure.

Wed May 25 th clear and pleasant we were hawling manure from the barn. Charley Brownlee helping us.

Thu May 26 th cloudy and cool, drizling sho Showers this after noon. we finished drawing manure in the fore noon. the rest of the day planting in corn where the ground was to dry to Start it the frirst time

Fri May 27 th cloudy and cool, we finished the corn planting the fore part of the day. we took a load of wheat to Dresden this after noon Sold to Powell for 81 c per bush

Sat May 28 th clear cool morning and Evening hot in the midle of the day. we cleaned up and took a load of wheat to Dresden

Mon May 30 th cloudy thunder Shower in the Evening, high wind from the South we were cultivating and hoeing corn.

Mon May 27 th cool showery day, not doing much to day. was planting in corn where the bir birds had taken it out where the rain would let me. the corn is looking bad

Tue May 28 th cloudy and cold. I was spreading manure. Walter was plowing it in for a summer fallow, to cold to work without mittens this morning.

Wed May 29 th clouudy heavey rain and cold this after noon I had to put on my winter clothes I was spreading manure, and Walter wa was plowing until the rain came,

Thu May 30 th rain all day. it has rained Steady the last 30 hours more of lefs the ground is fairley afloat and Still it rains. I Split Some wood in the Shed about all we done to day. the river is coming up very fast.

Fri May 31 st cloudy. the rain ccast last night about midnight. we were most of the day litting water of corn oats & peas. the ground is soaked with water. the river is over the banks and raising fast now.
