Croton july 1887 Thu jul 14 th clear and pleasant fore part of the day. we finished our hay to day we cutt {in?} in the fore noon and took in twelve large loads in the after noon William Law and his team all day, {Gra?} rakeing in the after noon yester day and to day. john Snarey & Albert Nelson drawing with their team this after noon. Fri jul 15 th clear and very hot. not doing much to day. Sat jul 16 th thundder clouds and rain in Sight none here to speak of. we drew in our fall crop today, abuat 5 loads of wheat and 3 of rye all told. and poor at that. another hot day. Sun jul 17 th Some clouds high Wind from the West and very hot. Croton july 1887 Mon jul 18 th cloudy and pleasant. we dg dug a pit this morning and bur ied old Nell She died last Satur-day night from the efectes of the heaves, we were helping Ww Law pull peas from half past 9 until 5 P m when it began to rain. Tue jul 19 th flying coudes, pleasant morning and evening. hot in the midel of the day we was helping W.m Law pull peas from half past nine, Wed jul 20 th clear hot in the middle of the day. I was helping W. Law pull peas Walter helping till noon, after noon helping j. W Snarey, Thu jul 21 st cloudy most of the day, we was helping W. Law with his peas. I was away about two hours after dinn-en cleaning up oats for George Wrigh
