== April 19, 1903 ==
A fine Sunday. Rob and I went to the lake and chased a bumble bee. We went up to Church. It was a fine day.
(20)I helped Alice wash in the morning and made some hen nests and after dinner went out to the orchard and harrowed the stubble and came back. A fine day again.
(21)I helped Mister Loot move his house and Roscoe hauled golddust and plowed for oats.

I went and got punch. Ridy was sick this morning. I plowed in the afternoon. It snowed last night.
23 We plowed for oats out back and Roscoe went to town and I went to Sladons and cleaned oats for seed. It was a fine day.
== April 24, 1903 ==
We put in our first oats to-day. It was fine in the forenoon but it rained all afternoon and still rains.
(25) We went to the bush and cut posts to fix the road bridge and I went out to mill and helped with the bridge. A fine day.
(26) We went up to church and when we got home Will and Serina was here. It was a fine day (Sunday).
(27) We plowed and sowed oats here in the field by the lake. A fine day. I am so tired my feet won’t track to-night. O dear.
(28) We finished the field here by the lake. We got it sowed and the furrow cleaned and we finished the bridge at the road. Roscoe got a pig from me to-night. It weighed 74 pounds.
