8th E wind cool. 2 of the Boys out in the Back Bay after the Blue Bills got in for part of the day afternoon in the bush raining. Stanley Fixing the lines. Bob gave Ionia a bad bite. Took home about 16 gallons of syrup to Day. Eclipse to Day & some say their heard loons. Very windy tonight, east north.
9th On this day of the month I was married in 1862, 46 years married today. East wind, rained some. Ice jamming Rats, windy tonight.
A Fortunate Day, Randolph here {torn away} away the Banking, took 10 ducks, took some of the sugar Bush. Things some bottling syrup.

13th Sunday, 2 went hunting, got 6 ducks. Gordon came, north winds, kind of squally Randolph Brought the Tea
14th Monday, killed about 90 Rats at the barn and stacks 2 stack not Thrashed. Fine Feed for the fowls of the air and the mice vermin went up the camp. Lots of syrup Lots in a Barrel to make Vinegar Fixed my powder shot and a yacht passed close in Back Bay. Loading shell, put the Buckets in the Top Loft. sowed turnip seed. Lilly Renshaw and Poorly {illegible}
