Thur 19 Sunday school Picnic. Fannie, Hattie & the children went by Frazer Arthur put some oats out here then Will finished then Arthur & Paul went to the Picnic by Chippewa Marjorie guarded the cows after she mixed the bread. I put it in the tins & baked it while she was guarding the cows at night. I wached the hens off the oats Friday 20 I finished the pig pen at least Paul nailed down the second floor after I sawed them then Arthur came over & helped put them in the pen. Marjorie getting ready to start to Pelham Paul said Mrs. Riex & Flor was comeing so I made peach tarts a sponge cak{e} & a custard pie & they never intended to come it seems Marjorie gave up going untill morning then Hattie says she will drive her down (Sat 21 she took 3 doz eggs & going to get the groceries with her money. got meat & liver. cheese ½ tea sugar Paul went down to see about his watch he sent up a lb bologna I made 2 custard pies & a ginger cake & churned & cleaned the room. Kate & the Flor kids in the evening. Marj was going to stay at Jennies untill monday (Allens wife had a baby yesterday) Sun 22 Flors went home. The youngsters went to Sunday with the girls They sang a peice they all walked. Will & Lill went to Reavleys Arthur kept house. Paul brought the cows & milked the youngsters got home so late they guarded the cows for a little while after they were milked. Mon 23. they raked the oats. Tom Reavley after Paul he went after dinner they drawed the oats & made the stack. I churned Hattie stayed tonight. Teu 24 Fannie tonight Will & Hattie went to Drummonville took 4 lb 15 oz butter ½ doz eggs 11 cts butter 1.13 2 loaves bread 12 sack flour 85 lb lard 17 tangle foot 5 butter paper 4. 50 lbs middling 63 he had the last of his oats. The threshing machine to come tonight Mary Riexinger over after a spool of thread wed 25 Hattie tonight when they went to thresh they found the engine leaking had to go to Drum. to get it fixed lost all the fornoon started after dinner finished over there & the oats here. I cleaned the oat bin out fixed the floor yesterday Thur 29 Arthur & Hattie threshed out the wheat hay. I churned. Fannie went to the League entertainment tonight. it was grand & the night was grand. I washed out the white clothes boiled them put them to soak over night, carried most of the water from the creek to wash set sponge tonight Fanny stayed tonight Friday 27. I mixed the bread carried more water to wash to not to take the rain water put the white clothes out & washed the colored clothes & starched a lot of things besides doing the work. milking & separating the milk it just about kills one when they are tired. Gordon went after the rooster at Wallaces Marguerite guarded the cows while he went 40 cts for the Rooster. Sat. 28 I swept the house all over cleaned back tooms swept the gard{en} cleaned all the boards, made 3 pies ginger cake & ginger cookies dressed the hen that hung do{w?}n with fat & ironed a lot after dark. The youngsters went to Montagues after pears. Fannie here. a thunder storm about 12 & such a beautiful rain I dusted the front room & dining room after the children went to bed beautiful after rain Fannie did not come untill late. Sun 29 Fannie & her mother went to Chippewa took 5 lb butter they made it 5 & 1 oz 25 pr lb - 127. 1½ doz eggs @ 24 1.63 - $1.00 gran sugar 35 brown sugar soap 5 nails 4 yeast 5 sum 20. so beautiful after the rain, turns cool in the afternoon the children went to church. The minister to Will Dells. Hattie & Arthur went to the brick Fannie went to Argyly & Paul came from Reavleys stayed to dinner went right after dinner
