26th I went out with Root job got back a little after four it is $40 got no pay was a nice day Jack helped me about 2 1/2 hrs to move stock to-day Jim came in this eve I paid D. Lloyd 50 cts for Jim's lodging & beakfast last week lent young McLaughlin $5 gave Jack L. 30 cts was a nice day Jim stayed at Mrs Tools 27th I started for Union left the men to load the two Grier jobs Jim brought the granite & Grier the bottom bases & Earl posts I had dinner Griers we had tea at Geo. the two jobs came to $200 got no money on them Jim had dinner in Town was a very warm day it after eleven when we got home to Town
