Wed July 6: Fine but extremely warm. Emily Boyle died at 4. a.m Margaret here for dinner. Thur July 7: Fine extremely hot. - a thunder storm and rain early in the evening. Mrs Davidson and I called at Mr Boyles. Mr Rice and Willie here in the eve. Fri July 8: Terrific storm about noon and - again at two oclock - a fire on the Jail Farm. I went to funeral at 3. Sat July 9: Dull and warm. a thunder storm about three oclock the storm of yesterday put grain down. Sun July 10: Fair and a little cooler but great humidity. I went to church in the morning. but not in evening as it was warm. Mr Oliphant. killed. Mon July 11: Fine and warm. Aunt M. and I at Mrs Reamans & Miss Edeys. Tue July 12: Fine and very warm. we got 3 qts black Currants. ("brot berries Mrs Simpson" written above). Wed July 13: Fine and very warm. extreme heat again and humidity. Thur July 14: Warm, followed by a good heavy shower which did good and cooled the air. Fri July 15: Fine and cooler. Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto. I walked to Marjories in the evening. very cool. some are haying and a good many cutting grain. Willie left hay as - grain needs cutting. I exchanged Pendant it was $15. new chain $9 - Salts 5 - spoons $2.
