Sat Jan 1. Drizzling east rain and very misty. Willie also Mothere. New Years dinner here. I went to New Year's entertainment at Methodist Church. Snow going rapidly. very wet.

Sun Jan 2. Colder and strong n.w wind. I went to eve. church. Willie's Queenie died.

Mon Jan 3 Fine and quite mild Election day. Willie and Mary out. Hamelette Ham{something}washed and dried out fine /. Marjorie called and brought Sausage. Went see Mrs. Little's baby.

Tue Jan 4. Fine and very mild. Snow all gone. a little ice. Mrs. Tesson called in the afternoon.

Wed Jan 5. A few light showers and misty. Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto. called to see Aunt Leggie. I got a black Satin dress $12.50. Mrs Soyle and Miss Morgan called. Aunt M. has blood shot eye.

Thur Jan 6. Fine but cold wind. bright and clean. I called on Mrs Howeard. also at Miss Muuudeys{illegible} and she and Mrs Simpson here in the evening. Mrs Parkinson called.


Fri Jan 7. Fine and very mild. Aunt Mattie and I at the {illegible}ted Prayer Service at our church all day. Annie and walky.

Sat Jan 8. Fine bright and colder all frozen dry and clean can go out without ruffers. no skating. I called at Miss Edey's in the evening. Annie here for a while in the evening.

Sun Jan 9. Fine bright day colder. I went to morning church. no ruffers. Annie & I for a walk. at eve church. Mary Watson called. Marjorie has a baby girl at 4 A.M

Mon Jan 10 Fine bright and quite warm all dry on road and very little ice or snow anywhere. I walked to Willies for a while

Tue Jan 11. Fine day and dry.

Wed Jan 12. Fine and very cold but all dry and clean. Aunt Mattie and I at Mrs Simpsone tea for Mrs Laurence.

Thur Jan 13. Mild and misty but no rain falling

Fri Jan 14. Mild and dull. I went to service for Forward Movement in the evening. Armie went with me. Mrs Davidson helped me cut a white silk blouse.

Sat Jan 15. Fine and much colder. First Saturday eve, [underlined] Skating. A Band there. Mrs Davidson and I looking in.

Sun Jan 16. Fair at first then, a east wind and light snow.

M I went to evening church. Armie called.

Mon Jan 17. Fine we washed. put ono winter drawers first. J. Edey here

Tue Jan 18. Fine and very cold 5 below zero. Sausage. a. 13. 30 cents, put on woolen blanket first this year. word that Aunt L. [Lizzie - see next entry] sick

Sun Jan 23. Fine much colder. Armie and Elizabeth called. John Cook hee for tea. I went to evening church. Arch Deacon Davidson last service.

Mon Jan 24. Fine and very cold. Vacummed dining room carpet.

Tue Jan 25. Fine cold below zero. but good clean roads. dusty.

Wed Jan 26. Fine moderately cold. I went to Toronto to see Aunt Lizzie took a little work $2.25.

Thur Jan 27. Fine milder ideal day. all clean and dusty no need of rubbers. Aunt Mattie out. Mary Watson called. Mrs Simpson and Miss Mundey called. 4.40 [$ symbol written above] for taffela [?].

Fri Jan 28. Fine and warm. Miss Keffer and Lucy Bowes here all day.

Sat Jan 29. Fine warm ideal day. Aunt Mattie and I at Alice Seftins for dinner. Mrs Davidson and I at the Gr [?] to see Babes in the Woods at Grand $1.

Sun Jan 30. Fine but now east wind and I went to evening church. I went to morning church. without rubbers, dusty. I went evening church. wonderful weather no snow since Jan 16.

Mon [crossed out: Feb] Jan 31. Fine and quite cold. I was at Mrs Boyles in the evening.

Tue Feb 1. Fine and moderately cold.

Wed Feb 2. Fine. I went to Girls Hockey Match. Aunt Lizzie worse.

Thur Feb 3. Fine and cold wind. Aunt Mattie. and I in Toronto as Aunt Lizzie much worse. a second nurse came in the evening.

Fri Feb 4. Fair and windy. Mr Street brought Coal 4100 at $18 a ton $36.90 in all. Mrs Games and Laura called. Mr McDonald called and took. Auntie Nellie to Mrs White.

Sat Feb 5. Aunt Lizzie passed away at 4.10 a.m. Aunt Mattie and I went on 11.15 car. I came home on 7.30. Willie brought. Sausage and spare rib. dirty after rain last night.

Sun Feb 6. Fine day bright and spring like. I went to morning church. ideal weather no rain or snow of any account from jan 16 th untill Feb 4th a little rain. Annie and I for a walk. I went to evening church.

Mon Feb 7. Fine at first then light snow falling. we all went to Aunie Lizzie funeral at 2. O'cloc. home on 7.30 car.

Tue Feb 8. Fine and milder the snow thawing.

Wed Feb 9. FIne and very mild. AUntie Nellie and I at 196 Jarvis st.

Thur Feb 10. Fine and milder I went to 196. go down on quarter to S.

Fri Feb 11. Snowing lighhtly all day from the east. very fine and moderately cold. I went to Dr Johns. 24 for Cards Eauchre. cleared in evening.

Sat Feb 12. Fine and bright, thawing and sloppy. I went to 196 in the afternoon. we washed. clothes dryed splendidly.

Sun Feb 13. Fine and very mild. Aunt Nellie at Willies all day. I went to Aunt Lizies with Annie for dinner. I went to church in the evening.

Mon Feb 14. Fine bright and a little colder. Mrs Davison nd I at a Valentine tea at the Methoists. Mrs Davidson and I at Hockey Match. Schomlerg Thornhill.

Tue Feb 15. Fine and quite mild, a beautiful day. Willie and Tom Reid brought things from 196 Jarvis St. I went down on early car. Auntie Mattie came home on 4-2 car. I went down to the Tennis Social evening at the Hall.

Wed Feb 16. Fine and very mild, all mud and roads cutting up. like spring for unpacked.

Thur Feb 17. Fine and quite col and windy. Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto about chair selling. Fanny Bowes called.

Fri Feb 18. Fine bright day ideal weather. all frozen clean. man called to buy six chairs at $2. a piece.

Sat Feb 19. Fine day clear and moderately cold. Mr Shepherd called and took down broken plaster. Mrs Shutes called Mr McDonald called and took Auntie to Mrs Whites.

Sun Feb 20. Fine bright and moderately cold. roads very rough but frozen clean and no ice. AUntie Mattie and I at eve church

Mon Feb 21. Fine bright and moderately cold. Mr Shepherd and man here patching kitchen ceiling. $11.50.

Tue Feb 22. Fine bright and warm. roads clean and dry. Mrs Pearce Robinson called. Mr Atkinson called and invited me to a Euchre party in the evening.

Wed Feb 23 A little wet snow this morning. Mr Shepherd here. papering kitchen paper $10.80. and work $4.

Thur Feb 24 Fine and moderately cold. Thornhill defeated Welland girls

Fri Feb 25 Fine and cold. I went up to Lenten Service in eve.

Sat Feb 26. East snow storm all day. very light. Dr came to see Aunt Nellie. I went to the office in evening. Willie clled with lard. Annie and Mrs Davidson called in eve.

Sun Feb 27. FIne and milder. Dr came. Annie also Willie and Mary called. Mrs Davidson and I at eve church.

Mon Feb 28. Raining a little mist day. we washed. Dr here. Mr Reaman called.

Tue Mar 1. Fine and mild. thawing. we washed white and grey flannette blankets, they dried splendidly. Dr here. Aunt Mattie and Lorraine Village.

Wed Mar 2. Fine and very mild roads very much cut and very slushy. I went to Toronto. called at W.Cooks Mary Watson called. cleaned cellar head way.

Thur Mar 3. Mild and thawing all day. windy. Aunt Nellie down stairs

Fri Mar 4. Much colder. roads frozen rough. Mary Chapman and Jennir Edey called. I went to Lenteu Service.

Sat Mar 5. Fine and colder. Willie called. milder and rain in eve.

Sun Mar 6. Very muddy and mild untill evening then colder and freezing Aunt Nellie up. Mrs Davidson called she and I at eve church.

Mon Mar 7. Fine and mild roads terribly cut. Aunt Nellie not so well at night. I went for medicine in eve.

Tue Mar 8. FIne and moderately warm. very muddy. Mary Watson here

Wed Mar 9. Very mild. warm wind. then rain in evening.

Thur Mar 10. Aunt Nellie up all day. frozen and cleaner. Aunt Mattie out for paper. Lorraine here for tea. Mrs Simpson and Miss Mundey called. I went to Euchre at Mr Boyles in the evening. 40 there. obins here.

Fri Mar 11. Fine and quite mild. very muddy. Plenty of Robins there have been some in Village all winter but not here. Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto in the afternoon. Willie called in the morning.

Sat Mar 12. Milder and showery. the roads are cut from ditch to ditch and scarcely a place to walk.

Sun Mar 13. Fair and colder. roads frozen clean. Aunt Mattie and I at evening church. Annie called.

Mon Mar 14. Fair in the morning. then a light shower in afternoon I went to Mr Attinsons Sale. roads very. very. muddy.

Tue Mar 15. Fine and mild. I went to a Euchre at Mrs Breakeys. A little rain thunder evening.

Wed Mar 16. Mild at first then much colder. and quite windy. a little dry in some places. I went to pay Doctor in evening. Aunt Mattie up to see W. Luesby. I left my hat to be trimmed and Aunt Mattie got a new one. $3.25 for mine. We cleaned Bureau Drawers and Clothese Closets. roads badly cut. very deep. Aunt Matties hat $10.

Thur Mar 17. St Patricks Day. fair and moderately cold.

Fri Mar 18. Fine bright and moderately cold. Aunt Mattie and I at Confirmation. seve. Confirmed. Thornhill boys defeated at Aurora in final Match.

Sat Mar 19. Raining all afternoon with thunder, lighting, and hail stones cleared about six. I went for medicine in morning.

Sun Mar 20. Mild with light showers. then fine and very warm and sultry almost unbearable. Aunt Mattie and I at eve church

Mon Mar 21. Fine and quite a cool wind. we leaned Aunt Nellies and out feather beds but did not wash them. cleaned slats also Tanny Bowes called. We called at Mrs Pearsons in eve.

Tue Mar 22. Fine and mild drying nicely. Willie and Mercie here to tea.

Wed Mar 23. Fine and mild. scraping roads. Willie called. we cleaned spare bed and aired clothes. Aunt Mattie washed for cleaning

Thur Mar 24. Fair at first. then rained heavily in the eve. I went to see Phyllis. who is very sick. roads are much better.

Fri Mar 25. Good Friday. cleared and fine in afternoon. Annie called got our hats in evening. mine. $3.25. for fixing and flowers.

Sat Mar 26. Fine bright and very warm. We cleaned boxes and bed Clothes boxes up back stairs. burnt grass in back garden. I was out in evening. inviting some ladies to tea. very. warm

Sun Mar 27. Fine and warm. showery making it quite muddy. Aunt Mattie and I at evening church. Earter Service Aunt Mattie and I at morning service. Mary Watson here stayed tea. Aunt Mattie and I in eve.

Mon Mar 28 Colder with sleet then cleared and very cold wind. I went to Toronto in the afternoon.

Tue Mar 29. Fine bright and quite cold. We had an afternoon tea ten ladies here. roads drying nicely but some bad holes

Wed Mar 30. Fine and cold. AUnt Mattie and I in Toronto took my Fur Coat $4.50. storage. Aunt M. washed some.

Thur Mar 31. Fine and much warmer. We cleaned attic. Clothes and bed clothes upstairs in attic. swept and cleaned the windows in attic. a little windy. I went to Choir Concert

Fri April 1 Fine but colder. Mr Luesby trimmed trees.

Sat Apr 2. Fine and warmer. very high wind. Aunt Mattie cleaned upstairs windows. I cleaned pictures.

Sun Apr 3. Fine bright morning. Aunt Mattie at morning church. I went for a walk in the afternoon. Aunt Mattie and I at eve ch

Mon Apr 4. Fine and very warm. we cleaned upstairs Bed rooms. did not take carpets up no fire in Range so hot

Tue Apr 5. Fine and very warm. cleaned halls up and down then finished cleaning up store room over shed. washed floors and swept it non all done up there. Aunt Mattie washed some for cleaning no fire in Range for couple days.

Wed Apr 6. Fine and warmer. very dusty. Aunt Mattie and I cleaned Front Verandah railings and floor dreadful blac. Mrs Celuks and I called. Uncovered Cistern. Mrs Grulieh here. Mrs McDonald and Mr Farr called.

Thur Apr 7. Fine and bright light Range. a very little. Aunt Mattie and I cleaned Back Kitchen walls and floors also our East and South Verandahs. Put on last of Coal ashes. Mrs Rice called. Mr Mundey and Mrs Simpson in eve.

Fri Apr 8. Showery with thunder and heavy rain late in afternoon Aunt attie cleaned and oiled Furnace. cleaned cellar windows she got her Coat.

Sat Apr 9. Turning much colder. we finished bottom of shed so ow all done but Parlor, Dining room and Cellar. I called to pay my Tennis Fees.

Sun Apr 10. Fine but very cold. I went to morning church. Aunt Mattie and I at evening church. John Cooks here to tea

Mon Apr 11. Fine bright day cool. I walked to Concord called at Mrs Clarkes and Wilies We washed also Blauluts white ones Aunt Mattie cleaned outside of downstair windows.

Tue Apr 12. Fine and much warmer, We cleaned cellar. Tom Speight called at door. I went to Doctors in the evening.

Wed April 13. Fine and warm. Aunt Nellie in bed. Aunt Mattie and I put in garden. Lettuce. Onions. and beets and carrots. Dr here

Thur Apr 14. Fine and warm. Aunt Nellie and I cleaned Parlor and Dining Room. all done cleaning. Dr here. showery in evening

Fri Apr 15. Fine and cooler. Dr here. Anie and Mrs Davidson called. We finished making Potted Veal for Annies tea.

Sat Apr 16 A sleet storm from the N. East. all threes iced also Fst Wires I went to tea at Annies Sisters girls there. a dreadful afternoon. Doctor here. Aunt Mattie received her locked. a little fire in F.

Sun Apr 17. A North East snow storm. started about six oclock a.m. quite a debth on top of the sleet and ice, cleaned at four. Annie here. aka F. Cox with flowers. Mrs Davidson and I at church. Mr Doward did not take the Organ.

Mon Apr 18. Fine and much milder. snow going nicely but slushy. Dr. called Miss Edey and Melly called. Vote on Prohibition about 100. 100 or 200.000. I voted. fire out again.

Tue Apr 19. Fine and bright drying nicely. we surpt. upstairs and dug around trees and shrubs. Amy. Wilcox called. also Mrs Parkinson.

Wed Apr 20. Dr called last. we cleaned all silver. Mrs Welsh called also Mary Watson. Annie and I for a walk in the evening fine and milder. Mrs Davidson int he evening.

Thur Apr 21. Raining all afternoon. I went to Toronto at Dentists, Auntie up.

Fri Apr 22. A heavy rain last night and all morning then fair but dull. Willie called in the afternoon.

Sat Apr 23. Poured rain through night. water high and very muddy no seeding since a week last thursday. Apr 14. some are nearly through but not many. We got our Oak heater. price $17.70. the Range went away at $30. Annie here in the evening.

Sun Apr 24. Fine bright and warm I went to morning church. then was going to Willies and met them on the way to R.Hill so rode home. Mary Watson and Iva Garruthers called. Aunt Mattie. Mrs Davidson and I at church.

Mon Apr 25. Fine bright day. Auntie washed then blocleaned stove. pipes laura mafuer first time. I cut. Dr called. No fire Grease Chapman

Tue Apr 26. Fine and warm. Aunt Mattie and I varnished Aunt N. room and touched up all upstairs. also Parlor. I went to party at Daisy Balls as there. we did not and a fire

Wed Apr 27. Fine and quite warm. Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto she called at 198 Jarvis St. Joe called in at 198. Sale there.

Thur Apr 28. Fine and warm. Auntie. Annie and I called at Mr Seageas. Willies on land the first since. three weeks today. April 14. they have only seventeen acres in. started to rain in the night.

Fri Apr 29. Raining steadily all day. Tom Seager buried. Willie called at door we lighted fire the first all week.

Sat Apr 30. Raining heavily untill noon then cleared but dull and damp. roads very muddy. Annie here for tea. trees and blossoms coming on nicely.

Sun May 1. Cold north wind and dull. started to come squawls about two. o'clock. then fair but cold. Aunt M. and I at church

Mon May 2. Cool and dull with light showers. Took blue dress to M. to shorter sleeves

Tue May 3. Fine but cool. but bright. Auntie varnished upstairs hall and oiled steps and front door. she and I for leeks. Aunt Mattie and I for a walk in eve.

Wed May 4. Fine and bright and warmer. Wyli and Lizzie called. brought first strawberries. Mr McDonald took Aunt Nellie for a little drive. I went to Drs in eve for Auntie. Annie here in evening. Willie brought Bacon. 8 lbs

Thur May 5. Fine and warm. no fire. Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto. I get Crepe. De chew. 5 yrds at. $2.24. Aunt Mattie. Mrs Davidson and I at. Social in hall. (J.M.S. "Mens social club" Social. men on land again.

Fri May 6. Fine and warm. Aunt Mattie at home. Aunt Nellie ad I at Villge they received. $500 cheque. Mary Watson here in evening. Aunt Mattie and I out so far as Village in eve. annie and I for looks.

Sat May 7. Fine and warm Mr Rich Simpson took Aunties for a drive so far as Aurora in eve.

Sun May 8. Fine and warm. Aunt Mattie and I at eve church also at Morning church. dry and dusty. Mrs Davidson Lorraine and I at Childrens Service Presby terians church. No fire since Wednesday. Annie called.

Mon May 9. Fine bright and windy. washed. spare room Counterpain also Aunt Nellies. Aunt Matie and I to see Mrs D.

Tue May 10. Fine and moderately warm. Aunt Mattie and I at Weston went lon 11.15 and home on 2 past 8 Mrs Langstaff died. a beautiful day. Put in some Dahlias down teep.

Wed May 11. Aunt Mattie varnished Kitchen Oil cloth.Fine but cool east wind. Aunt Mattie and I called at Mrs Langstaffs. I went to Mr Sheets in eve

Thur May 12. Fair at first. then rained in the evening. Aunt Mattie and I at Mrs Langstaffs funeral

Fri May 13. Fine but damp. Mrs Davidson and I up to see flowers

Sat May 14. Fine and clearing. we had fire to day and friday the first for a week. I went to pay Doctor. grass out. 1 hour 30 cents. All frust blossom and Lilacs out

Sun May 15. Fine but very cold and windy. Aunt Mattie and I at morning church. "White Sunday" Willies and Reids here for tea. "Day light Saving time"

Mon May 16. Nellie 3 Fine but quite cold. Aunt Mattie and I at iss Edeys I went to scout concert.

Tue May 17. Fine but cold. frost and ice but not heavy damage

Wed May 18. Fine bright after white frost. no fire.

Thur May 19. Fine and much warmer. Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto Mr and Mrs Atkinoon called to say good. bye.

Fri May 20 Fine and very warm. Aunt Nellie at M Watson in eve.

Sat May 21. Fine and extremely warm. terrific dust. Cyril at grass. 35 cents.

Sun may 22. Fair at first then came heavy rain about noon. I went to morning church. Christening, rain will do good as ground very dry and baked. Aunt Mattie. Mrs Davidson and I at church. Thunder storm as we came from church.

Mon May 23. ine. we washed. Aunt Nellie passed away shortly afternoon oclock. Willie and Annie here. cooler in the evening.

Tue May 24. Mr Wright all fixed up by noon. about 45 called. Willie and Mary here all day. quite cool a little fire. Minnie come about 2.30.

Wed May 25. Fair but dull and damp after rain last ight. A great many called.

Thur May 26. Fair but dull and threatening. Aunt Nellies funeral at 2.3 (new time).

Fri May 27. Fine bright and clear. Minnie left this morning. "Oil" Annie here in the evening we vacummed. Parlor & D.R.

Sat May 28. Fine and warm untill fire o'clock a heavy wind and rain storm but lightning not very close. The Oil was $8.50 for 43 gal BBL. I paid 5 cents for etching it over. I went to Miss Mundeys in the evening. We put in Dahlias and Salvas.

Sun May 29. Damp and sultry. at home. all day. Mary Watson called.

Mon May 30. Fine and quite warm. we washed also. S bed cover (feather Mrs Mischles here. I went to graveyard and Mr McD. in eve.

Tue May 31. Very sultry and rained heavily in Toronto. none here. We were in Toronto. I got Crepe de chene. 2.65 a yd. Mrs Gruelich here Mrs Orr Horence Edwards and Meta Jackson called. also Mrs Bill and Mrs McDowald.

Wed June 1 Fine and cooler. Mrs Breakey and Mrs Jackes called also Miss Wilcox. we swept or vacumed the upstairs. Dyed dress.

Thur June 2. Fine and cooler. Mrs Duggau making my Voile. Aunt Mattie ad I at grave yard in the evening.

Fri June 3. Fair after a very heavy rain and thunder last night put in tomato plants and Asters. my hat. $9.00

Sat June 4. Fine and very cool. Aunt Mattie painted back steps David here for tea. Miss Kely called. I called at Dr.

Sun June 5. Fine bright and cool. Aunt Mattie and I at church in morning also at evening church.

Mon June 6. Fine bright and moderately warm. We put Oil on road

Wed June 8. Fine day. Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto. at Willie Cooks. I went to Willies in evening on a message. he brought me piece home. Annie here in evening. very dusty.

Thur. June 9. Fine day. Willie here for dinner. had beeu to R.H. to sign the papers. Mrs Daggau finished my dress. $3.50. Mary Watson called

Fri June 10. Fair at first followed by heavy shower and. thunder about fees. then again at midnight. U.F.O picnic at. Richmond H.

Sat June 11. A few scattered showers and then cleared and cooler in evening. Willies called for a few minutes.

Mon June 13. Fine bright and very cool. Auntie varnished over kitchen in lighter mrs John Scott called. Mrs Davidso and I put on rest foil.

Tue June 14. Fine bright day and cool. Aunt Mattie and I walked to Willies. he brought us home. Mrs Boyle and Agnes called Mrs James and Florence. when we were away. oil put on the road. $3 straul

Wed June 15. Fine bright day. Aunt Mattie and I at Meth Cemetry and she called to see mick. Miss Edey and Miss Medd. in eve.

Thur June 16. Fine and much warmer. Miss McKinnon and Mary Chapman called. Aunt Mattie and I at grave yard in the evening. caught Rat.

Fri June 17. Rained gently all morning. Willie called, cleared at noon but damp and cooler. Libbie and Mr Dobson called in evening also. Mrs Cox and mrs Simpson and Wendy miss Mundey and Simpson but Prsty Salmon.

Mon June 20. Fine and quite warm. I went to Dentists at quarter to five. Louie Mc Kurtry came. Strawberries gone up to 20 cents.

Tue June 21. Fine and warm. Mrs Kane called. we went to Mothers for tea then Louie went to the hill.

Wed June 22. Fine and warm. I had my dress fitted in eve. I am beading dress. Donald D his whoping cough.

Sun July 31. Fine bright and very cool. I went to church. Nellie and Mary there. Mrs Hame and Harry here. very cool strong wind. the first real cool day for two weeks. Aunt Mattie and I at evening church.

Mon Aug 1. Civic Holiday. a few squalls but mostly fair and cool. Mary Watson here in the evening. Jennie and Tom Speight.

Tues Aug 2. Fine and quite cool. I went to barn raising at Emmanuel Bowes in the afternoon, Mary Watson here in eve.

Wed Aug 3. Fine and quite cool, getting dusty but perfect weather. Mrs D. and I for corn. Tommy Bowes here in the evening.

Thur Aug 4. Fine bright and cool. Annie, Aunt Mattie and I for a drive to Sharon. Started renovating church this week

Fri Aug 5. Fine and a little warmer. Aunt Mattie and I at the grave yard. in eve. a fine week for getting grain in.

Sat Aug 6. A few heavy showers in afternoon. I went up to the Springs. but too wet sold cakes and postponed. Pic-nic for two weeks

Sun Aug 7. Dull and cool. I went to church. scaffolding all up, but we had service. Wellies family also Mrs. Maguire and the children here for tea. Wellies took Auntie for a drive. M. bot tomatoes

Mon Aug 8. Fine but dull and cool. Annie and I for a walk in the evening. a very early harvest a great many through by nearly so.
