Sat Jan 1. Drizzling east rain and very misty. Willie also Mothere. New Years dinner here. I went to New Year's entertainment at Methodist Church. Snow going rapidly. very wet.

Sun Jan 2. Colder and strong n.w wind. I went to eve. church. Willie's Queenie died.

Mon Jan 3 Fine and quite mild Election day. Willie and Mary out. Hamelette Ham{something}washed and dried out fine /. Marjorie called and brought Sausage. Went see Mrs. Little's baby.

Tue Jan 4. Fine and very mild. Snow all gone. a little ice. Mrs. Tesson called in the afternoon.

Wed Jan 5. A few light showers and misty. Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto. called to see Aunt Leggie. I got a black Satin dress $12.50. Mrs Soyle and Miss Morgan called. Aunt M. has blood shot eye.

Thur Jan 6. Fine but cold wind. bright and clean. I called on Mrs Howeard. also at Miss Muuudeys{illegible} and she and Mrs Simpson here in the evening. Mrs Parkinson called.


Fri Jan 7. Fine and very mild. Aunt Mattie and I at the {illegible}ted Prayer Service at our church all day. Annie and walky.

Sat Jan 8. Fine bright and colder all frozen dry and clean can go out without ruffers. no skating. I called at Miss Edey's in the evening. Annie here for a while in the evening.

Sun Jan 9. Fine bright day colder. I went to morning church. no ruffers. Annie & I for a walk. at eve church. Mary Watson called. Marjorie has a baby girl at 4 A.M

Mon Jan 10 Fine bright and quite warm all dry on road and very little ice or snow anywhere. I walked to Willies for a while

Tue Jan 11. Fine day and dry.

Wed Jan 12. Fine and very cold but all dry and clean. Aunt Mattie and I at Mrs Simpsone tea for Mrs Laurence.

Thur Jan 13. Mild and misty but no rain falling

Fri Jan 14. Mild and dull. I went to service for Forward Movement in the evening. Armie went with me. Mrs Davidson helped me cut a white silk blouse.

Sat Jan 15. Fine and much colder. First Saturday eve, [underlined] Skating. A Band there. Mrs Davidson and I looking in.

Sun Jan 16. Fair at first then, a east wind and light snow.

M I went to evening church. Armie called.

Mon Jan 17. Fine we washed. put ono winter drawers first. J. Edey here

Tue Jan 18. Fine and very cold 5 below zero. Sausage. a. 13. 30 cents, put on woolen blanket first this year. word that Aunt L. [Lizzie - see next entry] sick

Wed Jan 19. Fine and very cold Aunt Mattie and I too see Aunt Lizzie

Thur Jan 20. Fine and muuch milder snow going very rapidly. [written above the following sentence: Arch. Daredom called.] I went out to see Marjorie very wet under fort. but bright + sunny

Fri Jan 21. Fine and muddy. snow all gone. Aunt Mattie and I at banquet at Hall.

Sat Jan 22. Fine very mild and muddy. Armie and Eliz here in eve. standing but ice soft.

Sun Jan 23. Fine much colder. Armie and Elizabeth called. John Cook hee for tea. I went to evening church. Arch Deacon Davidson last service.

Mon Jan 24. Fine and very cold. Vacummed dining room carpet.

Tue Jan 25. Fine cold below zero. but good clean roads. dusty.

Wed Jan 26. Fine moderately cold. I went to Toronto to see Aunt Lizzie took a little work $2.25.

Thur Jan 27. Fine milder ideal day. all clean and dusty no need of rubbers. Aunt Mattie out. Mary Watson called. Mrs Simpson and Miss Mundey called. 4.40 [$ symbol written above] for taffela [?].

Fri Jan 28. Fine and warm. Miss Keffer and Lucy Bowes here all day.

Sat Jan 29. Fine warm ideal day. Aunt Mattie and I at Alice Seftins for dinner. Mrs Davidson and I at the Gr [?] to see Babes in the Woods at Grand $1.

Sun Jan 30. Fine but now east wind and I went to evening church. I went to morning church. without rubbers, dusty. I went evening church. wonderful weather no snow since Jan 16.

Mon [crossed out: Feb] Jan 31. Fine and quite cold. I was at Mrs Boyles in the evening.

Tue Feb 1. Fine and moderately cold.

Wed Feb 2. Fine. I went to Girls Hockey Match. Aunt Lizzie worse.

Thur Feb 3. Fine and cold wind. Aunt Mattie. and I in Toronto as Aunt Lizzie much worse. a second nurse came in the evening.

Fri Feb 4. Fair and windy. Mr Street brought Coal 4100 at $18 a ton $36.90 in all. Mrs Games and Laura called. Mr McDonald called and took. Auntie Nellie to Mrs White.

Sat Feb 5. Aunt Lizzie passed away at 4.10 a.m. Aunt Mattie and I went on 11.15 car. I came home on 7.30. Willie brought. Sausage and spare rib. dirty after rain last night.

Sun Feb 6. Fine day bright and spring like. I went to morning church. ideal weather no rain or snow of any account from jan 16 th untill Feb 4th a little rain. Annie and I for a walk. I went to evening church.

Mon Feb 7. Fine at first then light snow falling. we all went to Aunie Lizzie funeral at 2. O'cloc. home on 7.30 car.

Tue Feb 8. Fine and milder the snow thawing.

Wed Feb 9. FIne and very mild. AUntie Nellie and I at 196 Jarvis st.

Thur Feb 10. Fine and milder I went to 196. go down on quarter to S.

Fri Feb 11. Snowing lighhtly all day from the east. very fine and moderately cold. I went to Dr Johns. 24 for Cards Eauchre. cleared in evening.

Sat Feb 12. Fine and bright, thawing and sloppy. I went to 196 in the afternoon. we washed. clothes dryed splendidly.

Sun Feb 13. Fine and very mild. Aunt Nellie at Willies all day. I went to Aunt Lizies with Annie for dinner. I went to church in the evening.

Mon Feb 14. Fine bright and a little colder. Mrs Davison nd I at a Valentine tea at the Methoists. Mrs Davidson and I at Hockey Match. Schomlerg Thornhill.

Tue Feb 15. Fine and quite mild, a beautiful day. Willie and Tom Reid brought things from 196 Jarvis St. I went down on early car. Auntie Mattie came home on 4-2 car. I went down to the Tennis Social evening at the Hall.

Wed Feb 16. Fine and very mild, all mud and roads cutting up. like spring for unpacked.

Thur Feb 17. Fine and quite col and windy. Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto about chair selling. Fanny Bowes called.

Fri Feb 18. Fine bright day ideal weather. all frozen clean. man called to buy six chairs at $2. a piece.

Sat Feb 19. Fine day clear and moderately cold. Mr Shepherd called and took down broken plaster. Mrs Shutes called Mr McDonald called and took Auntie to Mrs Whites.

Sun Feb 20. Fine bright and moderately cold. roads very rough but frozen clean and no ice. AUntie Mattie and I at eve church

Mon Feb 21. Fine bright and moderately cold. Mr Shepherd and man here patching kitchen ceiling. $11.50.

Tue Feb 22. Fine bright and warm. roads clean and dry. Mrs Pearce Robinson called. Mr Atkinson called and invited me to a Euchre party in the evening.

Wed Feb 23 A little wet snow this morning. Mr Shepherd here. papering kitchen paper $10.80. and work $4.

Thur Feb 24 Fine and moderately cold. Thornhill defeated Welland girls

Fri Feb 25 Fine and cold. I went up to Lenten Service in eve.

Sat Feb 26. East snow storm all day. very light. Dr came to see Aunt Nellie. I went to the office in evening. Willie clled with lard. Annie and Mrs Davidson called in eve.

Sun Feb 27. FIne and milder. Dr came. Annie also Willie and Mary called. Mrs Davidson and I at eve church.

Mon Feb 28. Raining a little mist day. we washed. Dr here. Mr Reaman called.

Tue Mar 1. Fine and mild. thawing. we washed white and grey flannette blankets, they dried splendidly. Dr here. Aunt Mattie and Lorraine Village.

Wed Mar 2. Fine and very mild roads very much cut and very slushy. I went to Toronto. called at W.Cooks Mary Watson called. cleaned cellar head way.

Thur Mar 3. Mild and thawing all day. windy. Aunt Nellie down stairs

Fri Mar 4. Much colder. roads frozen rough. Mary Chapman and Jennir Edey called. I went to Lenteu Service.

Sat Mar 5. Fine and colder. Willie called. milder and rain in eve.

Sun Mar 6. Very muddy and mild untill evening then colder and freezing Aunt Nellie up. Mrs Davidson called she and I at eve church.

Mon Mar 7. Fine and mild roads terribly cut. Aunt Nellie not so well at night. I went for medicine in eve.

Tue Mar 8. FIne and moderately warm. very muddy. Mary Watson here

Wed Mar 9. Very mild. warm wind. then rain in evening.

Thur Mar 10. Aunt Nellie up all day. frozen and cleaner. Aunt Mattie out for paper. Lorraine here for tea. Mrs Simpson and Miss Mundey called. I went to Euchre at Mr Boyles in the evening. 40 there. obins here.

Fri Mar 11. Fine and quite mild. very muddy. Plenty of Robins there have been some in Village all winter but not here. Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto in the afternoon. Willie called in the morning.

Sat Mar 12. Milder and showery. the roads are cut from ditch to ditch and scarcely a place to walk.

Sun Mar 13. Fair and colder. roads frozen clean. Aunt Mattie and I at evening church. Annie called.

Mon Mar 14. Fair in the morning. then a light shower in afternoon I went to Mr Attinsons Sale. roads very. very. muddy.

Tue Mar 15. Fine and mild. I went to a Euchre at Mrs Breakeys. A little rain thunder evening.

Wed Mar 16. Mild at first then much colder. and quite windy. a little dry in some places. I went to pay Doctor in evening. Aunt Mattie up to see W. Luesby. I left my hat to be trimmed and Aunt Mattie got a new one. $3.25 for mine. We cleaned Bureau Drawers and Clothese Closets. roads badly cut. very deep. Aunt Matties hat $10.

Thur Mar 17. St Patricks Day. fair and moderately cold.

Fri Mar 18. Fine bright and moderately cold. Aunt Mattie and I at Confirmation. seve. Confirmed. Thornhill boys defeated at Aurora in final Match.

Sat Mar 19. Raining all afternoon with thunder, lighting, and hail stones cleared about six. I went for medicine in morning.

Sun Mar 20. Mild with light showers. then fine and very warm and sultry almost unbearable. Aunt Mattie and I at eve church

Mon Mar 21. Fine and quite a cool wind. we leaned Aunt Nellies and out feather beds but did not wash them. cleaned slats also Tanny Bowes called. We called at Mrs Pearsons in eve.

Tue Mar 22. Fine and mild drying nicely. Willie and Mercie here to tea.

Wed Mar 23. Fine and mild. scraping roads. Willie called. we cleaned spare bed and aired clothes. Aunt Mattie washed for cleaning

Thur Mar 24. Fair at first. then rained heavily in the eve. I went to see Phyllis. who is very sick. roads are much better.

Fri Mar 25. Good Friday. cleared and fine in afternoon. Annie called got our hats in evening. mine. $3.25. for fixing and flowers.

Sat Mar 26. Fine bright and very warm. We cleaned boxes and bed Clothes boxes up back stairs. burnt grass in back garden. I was out in evening. inviting some ladies to tea. very. warm

Sun Mar 27. Fine and warm. showery making it quite muddy. Aunt Mattie and I at evening church. Earter Service Aunt Mattie and I at morning service. Mary Watson here stayed tea. Aunt Mattie and I in eve.
