Sat July 16: Moderately warm then a heavy rain in afternoon Mrs Charlton here to tea. Annie here in evening.
Sun July 17: Fine and warm. Aunt Mattie and I at morning Church. Mrs Teasdale here in the afternoon then Franks called for her. Charlie and Grant took us for a drive as far as Markham in the evening.
Mon July 18: Rain early then clear for a while and another heavy rain and storm in the afternoon.
Tue July 19: Damp at first then clearing and cooler. Aunt Mattie and I called at Miss Morgans in the evening. It has been very bad for haying so wet and many had to leave it to cut the grain as it was ripe. some grain light and not well filled owing to very hot, dry weather July has been very hot in fact we had about three weeks.
Wed July 20: Fine clear and bright not so warm. Auntie called at Mrs Boyles in the evening. we were up at Grave yard. Mrs Kane called with Berries and new potatoes our first as old ones just done. I went to Ida Kirby's "Shower".
Thur July 21: Fine and moderately warm. Aunt Mattie and I at Mt Pleasant in the evening.
Fri July 22: Fine and moderately warm. Mrs Davidson and I at the Tennis in the evening. a good deal of grain is out and shocked.
