Wed Dec 14: Fine bright day, all dry so can go without rubbers. December so far has been fine and no severe weather or storms, ideal weather. Annie here in eve.
Thur Dec 15: Fine and bright and cold. Aunt Mattie called at Mrs Fees and I called at Mrs Ness.
Fri Dec 16: Fine and a little milder. Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto shopping and she went to Dr McLean's and had five teeth filled ten dollars. Annie here.
Sat Dec 17: Raining all last night, and gently most of to-day then very hard in the evening, very muddy Willie called. (Note: "called" is written slightly above the line).
Sun Dec 18: {First Egg written below}. Very stormy and terrific wind the first very rough day this season. freezing and snow blowing in all directions, terrific wind and storm in other parts, doing much damage. our chimney tiresome Annie called. I went to evening church.
Mon Dec 19: Fine and quite mild we washed.
Tue Dec 20: Fine and mild, like spring streets dirty Aunt Mattie and I in Toronto called at Johns and Willie Cook and had tea at Simpsons.
Wed Dec 21: Fine and very cold. zero I went to Presbyterian Christmas Tree. Mrs Simpson brought lamb.
Thur Dec 22: Fine and very cold. 4 below zero. Aunt Mattie and I at Frank Robinson's funeral.
