Wed Dec 20. A raw east wind not so frosty. My cold and pain in my side much worse. Auntie told the Doctor to come. he came aout six. Annie called in the evening. Thur Dec 21. Fine and moderately cold. Dr called with medicine. I am staying in on account of cold. Fri Dec 22. FIne but much milder and a damp air. Dr Campbell called. we did sweeping for next week. Annie here in evening. also Grant called with chicken. cake and candy. Sat Dec 23. Mild and snowing quite heavily untill noon. Auntie went with Dr Johns to Dr Campbell to have her eye attended to. Annie and Lizzie called. I went to Village but cough a good deal yet. Sun Dec 24. Mild with a very damp air Auntie went to church with Willie and Charlie. Lorraine brought our presents in ice the afternoon. I was not out all day Mrs Davidson and children went to Swansea. Mon Dec 25 Fine and very mild nice bright seen and sloppy. "Christmas" day we were all at Mothers. I am very poorly a pain in my side with coughing. Tue Dec 26. Fine and quite mild. slushy. We got geese 35 cents a pound. 10 1/2 and 9 pounds. we opened then Edna Wittshire and Mrs Smellie called. Mrs Reive died.
