28th started to tool fathers base for fathers mon. 15 cts for 1 lb of meat was a nice day but cold. got a letter from Jos. Redmond with a cheque for $8300 wrote to him & Miss Nellie McGonigal E.E. Johnston & D.B. Johnston this eve went to John Kenny wake gave Mr. Kenny $200 went to show paid Scotys way & my own 10 cts 29th got a letter from Samuel Stevenson with a cheque for $90 and one from Dr. Preston for $50 put this in Toronto Bank Stevenson & Redmonds in Merchants bank 10 cts for stamps mailed Andy & Mary cards this morn went to Xmas tree in church this eve 10 cts got a lb of meat at Rogers to-day 15 cts not paid wrote to Dr. Preston & Samuel Stevenson this eve have left to-night $55.92 cts Jack finished up to-day
