=== FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 1870. === I have had Charley ploughing & making ditches to day I worked most of the forenoon at geting off water from the field where Charly is ploughing Afterwards ma and I went out to Dover. To night I was told by a friend that as soon as my mother gets married the will of my Father will be taken by Cunningham & I suppose he will have the place sold. He has (he says) found that the Will was not legally drawn. I very much regret that anything like this should take place, but the Lord's Will be done. === SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 1870. === We are still ploughing in the field back of the barn. I went down to see Smith this morning to see him about a certain matter He thinks that there is no ground to fear but that the Will of Pas is all right. But still we will inquire into the matter a little farther as soon as possible so that we may know what to expect. If the farm is to be sold I dont wish to wait any longer in suspence. I am trying to put the result of this thing whatever it may be into the hands of my Heavenly Father.
