=== SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24, 1870. === We worked at our manure hauling again to day, or rather this forenoon. This afternoon Charley went out to Dover. While I have been spliting wood &c. We had a quarter of beef at sent to us this afternoon, by Mr. Thurlow. The cold weather still continues, and it is as windy as ever. Mr. Smith was up to spend the evening with us to night. I am still in favour with the Almighty, on account of His wondrous mercy & am Happy in Him. === SUNDAY, DECEMBER 25, 1870. === I went over to hear Ebersoule preach this morning. This afternoon we are favoured with an excellent discourse from our Dear Minister J. H. G. His text was "That ye also may be one even as we are one". There are some glorious thoughts in connection with this subject. As Christ was is one with God so may we be one with Christ. As He was beloved of the Father so also may shall His love be towards us. Through Christ. What a precious union: Who can fathom its length breadth & depth.
