{page one} 4 cts for candy got home about half past eight was a nice day 9 I went to Town this morn paid for 100 Bran $1.35 35 cts for ginger & mustard gave Mrs Dewolf $1.00 for rent for barn rent to start Oct. 14th 10 cts shave 10th I went to town this morn with 13 chickens we got $4.90 cts for them I Pol. 4 footstone & lettered 3 It misted rain some to day I got $1.00 worth of Groceries 10 cts for cigarettes paid G.L. Johnson $1.30 I owed him I mailed a letter to Miss Preston some fish bone & a P Card to Wm Bilton 10 cts for stamps 5 cts for P. Cards have left to night I paid J. Leeder 10.00 I owed him I gave Mary $5.00 have left 12.85 cts after this I paid Mily Greenisen in full to night $1.00 for Milch drawing {page two} 11 We stayed around home alday was a nice day 12 I came to Town this morn got some footstones ready had dinner at the Arlington 35 cts paid Mrs Elijah B Jackson 3.00 for Turkey I mailed John Third & Son Co letter & John Young was a cool day I paid Mily 13th I came to Town got Gillespie Marker & footstone ready took them & Thomson footstone up & set them Gillespie is $4.00 Thomsons $1.00 had dinner at B. Shields 35 cts was a cool day 14th Webster two teams came up & Moved our things down I got a one horse rig from Webster this eve went up for some more things Rob & Alice were in to-day for dinner 15 cts for buns
