ethelene went out to cemetry set Sly footstone $2.25 those were for Geo Sly was a nice day have left to-night $10.02 15th I worked in shop this fore-noon went down after dinner paid 37.52 Frt. $51.62 duty on five jobs from McKenzie got Websters team to haul it up 2 loads I drawed $40 out of bank spent 15 cts this eve 2 cts was tax on rec. for money in bank was a nice day this the first day the war tax comes into force 16th 16th I got Jas Bevens to help me an hour this Morn 23 cts we set up some work in front yard {second page} It was a nice day I lent Mr. John Moulton my horse & rig for a few days went to church this eve 10 cts have left to-night $12.00 17 I worked in shop got a bottle of medicine & some pills from Dr Bird got a roast of meat 35 cts Retta Mrs Irwin Stoliker paid me for lettering monument $12.60 got halter shank 12 cts John Moulton brought horse back this fore-noon was a nice day 18 I went to church in Morn & eve 15 cts was a nice day Mr Moulton to my horse to Crosby again to-day
