July 3. – Sun. – Went to S.S. this a.m. Etta came up this p.m. Elsie, Hyne, & children came out also. Etta, Mama, Elsie, & children, & myself went to Mr. Walkers’ woods this p.m. Etta & I went to church this Eve. Mr. Stafford preached. July 4. – Mon. – We washed. Etta went up to Dudleys on Mr. Caldwell’s milk-rig this a.m. Mama went down to Mrs. Dalton’s 10 a.m. & helped make the ice-cream. They washed the dishes at the hall to-night, then had ice cream at Mrs. Daltons
