May. 1 - Sun - We all went to church this pm. It rained some to-night. Charke is 6 to-day.
May. 2. - Mon. - It has been cloudy all day + rained hard this Eve Mama went up to mrs. Walkers this p.m. We put the things back in my room to-day
May 3.- Tues. - Mama went down to annies on the milk rig this morning. It has been cloudy and rainy all day. Willard brought mama home tonight. I have have been putting the pictures in my room this p.m.
May 4. - Wed. We washed. a number of militia Men went through the country this am. 12
were a horse-back of 4 in an automobile.
May 5 Thur - We papered memas room, to-day I washed the ceiling. It has been a lovely day. It rained some to night.
May 6- Fri - I went over to the school this a.m. as it is arbor Day We all went to the woods & had dinner & gathered wild flowers.
May 7- Sat - We heard this morning. that king Edward VII. died her at 7 pm,. or 9 p.m. attiours time. Papa went out through Bissell Town Algonquin this p.m. & stopped at Elies a while. It is nice warm weather now
May 8. – Sun. – It is a lovely morning. Mrs R. Bishop & Ruby came down this p.m. & we helped decorate & drape the church for Memorial Services. Mrs. & Mrs Johnston were here for tea. We all went to church this Eve. Anna & Willard were in after church also.
May 9. – Mon. – It has been showery. Laura was over this Eve. Took the coal stove down to-day & burnt out the chimney.
May 10. – Tues. – We washed.
May 11. – Wed. – We cleaned Henry’s room. Mama went to the Ladies Aid at Mrs. R. Bishop’s this p.m. I went up this Eve.
There is an Association Meeting to-night in the Mason’s Hall. Mr. Lockwood & Mr. A. P. Bosell presented Edgar with a case of surgical instruments at Mr. Bishop’s this Eve.
May 12. – Thurs. – We cleaned the spare bed room to-day. Mary Warner came up this p.m. & stayed for tea. We went up to Mr. Bishop’s to get some vine roots. Henry took us over to Mrs. V. Wells for choir practice this Eve.
May 13. – Fri. – We cleaned the hall upstairs to-day.
May 14. – Sat. – Papa went to town this a.m.

& Howard came up this a.m. We went to church this p.m. & Howard stayed with Mama. The service this p.m. was a song service. Elsie, Hyne & children came out this p.m. they were all here for tea! Mrs. Dalton, Mrs J. Beattie Jr. & I went to St. George’s this Eve.
May 16. – Mon. – We looked for ~~the~~ Halley’s comet 2 a.m. to 3.30 a.m. but could not see it. It has been a lovely day. We washed. Ruby Bishop’s started to school to-day.
May 17. – Tues. – I ironed.
May 18. – Wed. – I went down to Mrs. Jno Dalton’s to-night. We did some passe-partouting.
May 19. – Thurs. – We killed our pig
this a.m. Cleaned the parlor to-day. Papa went up to Grandma’s this Eve. I went to choir practice with Warners at Mrs. Wm. Easton’s.
May 20. – Fri. – It is a lovely day. King Edward VII was buried 11 a.m. Mrs. Jno. Warner, Reggie, Arnie & Howard were here for dinner.
May 21. – Sat. – Papa went to town this a.m. I went up to Mrs. R. Bishop’s this Eve. Saw the comet to-night in the Western sky.
May 22. – Sun. – We went to S.S. this p.m. It is nice & warm. We went to church this Eve.
May 23. – Mon. – I cut the grass in the front-yard, also raked it. Mr. & Mrs. Dalton, Laura, Mrs. Beattie {uncertain}, Jimmie Singleton, Mama & I went down to Confirmation at St. George’s this Eve. Helen Murray, Edna Joudry, Lena & Florence Kyle, Herbert Barton & Charlie Stone were confirmed. this is Mason’s night.
May 24. – Tues. – The young people from Algonquin had a picnic at the river to-day. There was shooting match at the Range to-day. We washed.
May 25. – Wed. – The boys went fishing to-day. It has been rainy & cloudy.
Our bees swarmed to-day.
May 26. – Thur. – I ironed. Choir practice to-night at the Church. Saw the comet to-night at 10 p.m. It was very bright.
May 27. – Fri. – We cleaned the hall downstairs to-day.
May 28. – Sat. – Papa went to town this a.m. I went down to Warner’s 6.30 p.m. with Mr & Mrs Warner, & stayed all night. We played croquet this Eve. Saw the comet to-night.
May 29. – Sun. – Annie, Willard & I went to Presbyterian Church this a.m. Mrs. Beattie was there also & spoke on the West. Mrs. W. went to S.S. at St. George’s.
Mary & I walked up to S.S. & church at Bethel 1.30 p.m. It is a lovely day but is cloudy to-night.
May 30. – Mon. – It is cloudy & rainy.
May 31. – Tues. – We washed & cleaned the wood-shed. We made flower-beds this Eve.
June. 1910.
June 1. – Wed. – We took the carpet up in the dining-room this p.m. I planted sweet-peas this p.m & set out asters. Mrs. Jno. Dalton was up this Eve. for her plants.
June 2. – Thurs. – We cleaned the dining-room & put the carpet down. Florence Manhard came up to go over to Wesley Wood’s to choir-practice to-night. It is quite cold & rainy.
June 3. – Fri. – King George V’s birth-day. It has cleared off fine, but is cold to-night. We finished the dining-room to-day. I set out my celery plants this a.m.
received a postal to-night from Luella D. & Mama got a letter from Bert Slackwood.
June 4. – Sat. – Papa & I went to town this a.m. I got a new pair of shoes. Mr. Ed. Stone died yesterday p.m. Mowed the lawn to-night. May & Mrs. H. Lockwood were here this Eve.
June 5. – Sun. – Conference. The young ministers are ordained this a.m. Jayla, H. & I went to Presbyterian Church this a.m. Willard & Arnie & Howard were here for dinner. Henry & W. went to Mr. Ed. Stone’s funeral this p.m. I went to S.S. Willard came for Arnie to-night.
June 6. – Mon. – It is rainy.
June 7. – Tues. – We washed.
June 8. – Wed. – I went back to Stewart’s woods & got a few ferns this a.m. Papa went to Algonquin this a.m. Mama went to the Ladies Aid at Mrs. Jno. Corbett’s this p.m. Mrs. Andrew McNish Brockville died Mon. & was buried this p.m. at Read’s.
June 9. – Thur. – Mama & papa went to town this a.m. & I went down to Annie’s this p.m. then up to Mrs. A. Manhard’s for choir practise to-night.
June 10. – Fri. – I ironed. Cut the lawn to-night.
June 11. – Sat. – The men finished planting corn this a.m.
Elsie, Hyne & children went to town this p.m. It has been rainy & cloudy to-day.
June 12. – Sun. – Went to church & S.S. this p.m. We went down to St. George’s this Eve.
June 13. – Mon. – Churned.
June 14. – Tues. – Mama, Mrs. R. Bishop, & Mrs. A. P. Bosell went out to Mrs. U. Bishop’s this a.m. & stayed till Eve. Mrs. J. Dalton & I went to the grave-yard to-night for roses. June 16. – Thurs. – Papa went to town this a.m. & Mama went up to Grandma’s. They both got back at noon. We moved the stove out this p.m. It is very warm. Henry went to Ogdensburg to-night 6 p.m. with Brockville
& St. James Lodge to attend lodge there. I went down to Warners to choir-practice.
June 17. – Fri. – Mama went down to Mrs. J. Dalton’s this a.m. to visit. I mowed the lawn this Eve.
June 18. – Sat. – Papa & I went to town this a.m. Daltons & Beatties & myself went to Read’s cemitery to trim up some of the plots this Eve. Papa went up to Mr. S. Lockwood’s & Henry went to town.
June 19. – Sun. – Annie, Willard & Howard went to Prescott to-day to celebrate their wedding-day. We went to S.S. this p.m. & church this Eve.
June 20. – Mon. – Henry went up to Grandma’s this a.m. to cultivate & I went too. this is Lodge night.
June 21. – Tues. – We washed & churned.
June 22. – Wed. – Cleaned the cellar. I took my skirt up to Mrs. J. Wright’s & she cut it for me.
June 23. – Thurs. – It has been very warm. We cleaned the pantry. Mama & I went hunting strawberries this p.m. & got quite a few. There is a concert at the Baptist Church, Algonquin, to-night, given by Rev. Mr. Williamson.
June 24. – Fri. – Eight years to-night Elsie was married. Choir practice to-night over to Mabel Shaw’s but I could not go.
June 25. – Sat. – Papa went to town this a.m. Took a lesson this p.m. Went down to Annie’s on the milk-rig then up to Lucy Shepherd’s lawn for a meeting about a “Basket Ball Team.” Came home with Jessie & Electa.
June 26. – Sun. – S.S. this a.m. but I could not go as I was not well. Papa went down to Annie’s for dinner. Mr. R. Stafford preached this p.m. (as Mr. Johnston is away out West) but I did not go. I went down to Mrs. Beattie’s this Eve.
June 27. – Mon. – We washed.

June 29. – Wed. – I ironed all day. Jennie, Mrs. Jno. Dalton & I went to the festival on Mr. Geo. Ross’s lawn, Fairfield East. Citizen Band was out.
June 30. – Thurs. – Papa brought Howard up on the milk-rig & Annie walked up about 11. Choir practise was here to-night. We had lemonade, cakes, & tarts for them.
July. 1910.
July 1. – Fri. – I went down to Warners on the milk-rig. We picked the straw-berries this a.m. & peas this p.m. May went to Ogdensburg this p.m. Willard went to Brockville to play in the band. I also helped shell peas, so I stayed all night.
July 2. – Sat. – Came home this morn. with them as they went to market. Cooked this a.m. & did the work. A Shooting Contest this p.m. between Brockville & S. Augusta. Arnie & Howard came up after dinner. I took a bath this p.m. We went to the hall this p.m. to set the tables, etc. Etta Dalton came here 6 p.m. & went over
to the hall with us. We went back to the Range. Our boys won by 102 points. Etta went down to Johns to-night to stay.
July 3. – Sun. – Went to S.S. this a.m. Etta came up this p.m. Elsie, Hyne, & children came out also. Etta, Mama, Elsie, & children, & myself went to Mr. Walkers’ woods this p.m. Etta & I went to church this Eve. Mr. Stafford preached.
July 4. – Mon. – We washed. Etta went up to Dudleys on Mr. Caldwell’s milk-rig this a.m. Mama went down to Mrs. Dalton’s 10 a.m. & helped make the ice-cream. They washed the dishes at the hall to-night, then had ice cream at Mrs. Daltons
July 5. – Tues. – Arnie, Mrs Dalton, Mary, Allen & I went to the neighborhood picnic at the river 1 p.m. on our ~~own~~ milk-buggy & with Dalton’s horse. Mama kept Howard. Elsie, & children & Edith Walter came out also. We had a fine time.
July 6. – Wed. – It is a nice day, but very dry & warm weather.
July 7. – Thur. – It has been rainy all day. Luella Daniels & Bessie Carson drove up to Warners this a.m. They came up here just before starting home. Choir practice to-night at Mrs. V. Wells’, but I could not go on account of my cold.
July 8. – Fri. – Papa went to town this a.m. Myrtle Myles, Mrs. S. Cole & Stewart started West 11.30 a.m. via G.T.R. It is very warm. Mama made lemon biscuits this p.m. & I scrubbed the shed.
July 9. – Sat. – Viola Walker came down this p.m. Took a lesson this p.m. Cut the first piece of hay to-day.
July 10. – Sun. – Went to S.S. & Church this p.m. Mr. Stafford sang a solo. Elsie, Hyne & children, Annie, Willard & Howard, also Thos. Johnston were here for tea. There was quite a thunder storm this a.m. but it is a dandy night.
July 11. – Mon. – We washed. Took off some honey at noon. Fred S. was over this Eve. I raked some this p.m.
July 12. – Tues. – “Orange Walk,” at Brockville, but we did not go. Laura Shipman & I went berrying.
July 13. – Wed. – Mrs. J. Dalton & I went berrying. I went down to Mrs. Beattie’s to practice for the Presbyterian social.
July 14. – Thur. – Swept upstairs. Preserved raspberries & cherries. Went up to Bessie Lombardo’s for choir-practice this Eve.
July 15. – Fri. – Mrs. J. Beattie, Mrs. J. Dalton, & myself went berrying early this morn. It rained some to-night. Took a bath this Eve.
July 16. – Sat. – I raked this p.m. Went to practice at Mrs. J. Beattie’s to-night.
July 17. - Sun. - Went to S.S. this p.m. + we all went to church this Eve. I was up to Electa's for tea. Mary W. went away to.day so I played for church. This is Mr. Stafford's last Sunday, as Mr. Johnston is expected home this week.
July 18. - Mon. - Mrs. J. Dalton + I went berrying this a.m. It is much cooler to-day.
July 19 - Tues. - We washed. Eva Fields, Mrs. J. Kelley + Effie were here this Eve. Henry mowed the lawn to-night. Pearl Dales came out to Mrs. Beattie's to-night.
July 20. - Wed. - I raked this Theo. Shipman took Mrs. Beattie Jr. Pearl, + myself down to the Presbyterian church to practise this p.m. Took a bath this Eve.
July 21. - Thur. - Raked this a.m. Mama, Henry + I went to the "Presbyterian social" this Eve. Rev. N. McLeod + Rev. Mr. Cameron were out. Mr. Stafford + Mr. Cameron sand, "Lead Kindly Light" + six of the girls (counting me) acted it out. Arrived home 1250.
July 22. - Fri. - Raked this p.m. did the upstairs work. Elsie drove out this Eve, for Annie + Howard, they intend to stay out till Sun.
July 23. - Sat. - Papa went to town this a.m. Took a bath this p.m. Went down on the milk-rig to play "basket-ball" Eva Cole's side won by 1 point (my side) Henry went to town this Eve.
July 24 - Sun. - Went to S.S. + church this p.m. It is very warm to-day + very close to-night. Mr. Stafford preached this p.m. as Mr. Johnston won't be home till Tues. Wrote a letter to Miss Daniels this Eve.
July 25. - Mon. - Washed, + mama painted the floor. Went to a meeting in the church to arrange for a social, this Eve. This is Mason's night.
July 26. - Tues. - Mama went up to Mrs. D. Wright's to get a waist made. Mrs. D. Landon was here a while this p.m.
July 27. - Wed. - I ironed. There was a heavy electric storm this Eve.
July 28. - Thur. - I went down to Mrs. J Landon's this p.m. Went to choir practise with the crowd, on the old milk rig up to Mr. Wm. Easton's.
July 29. - Fri. - Mama + I went out to ""Perry's Point" to the union picnic of Algonquin + Bethel S.S.'s with Mr. R. Bishop's Had a fine time. Was down to Mrs. Beatties to-night. Sold 3 tickets this Eve, for our social.
July 30. - Sat, - Swept upstairs + down-stairs. We moved the table into the kitchen this a.m. We had a heavy shower, 2.30 p.m. It is quite cool to-night. I took a bath this Eve.
July 31. - Sun. - Went to S.S. this p.m. + to church this Eve. Rev A. B. Johnston preached. Annie, Willard, Howard + Mary were in after church. Henry went up to Grandma's this a.m.
August
Aug. 1 - Mon. - We washed. Papa + mama went to town this p.m. Elsie, Hyne, + children came out this Eve. also 12 young people were here ^ this Eve to practise a dialogue for our social.
Aug. 2. - Tues. - I ironed some. Jssie B. + I collected eggs to make ice cream for the social I stayed up to Grandma's + went over to Mrs. P. Word's to choir practise this Eve. I came home with Warner's We were treated to ice cream + cake.
Aug. 3. - Wed. - Mama went up to Mrs. Bishop's this a.m. on an errand + I ironed. We made our fruit cake this p.m. Had my head washed. It is very warm.
Algonquin M. Social is held to-night. There was a heavy Thunder storm 11.30 p.m.
Aug. 4. - Thur. - Were cooking for our social
Aug. 5. - Fri. - Mama made 2 gallons of ice cream for our social, which was to be to-night, but it is a rainy night so is post-poned. Just a few neighbors were there.
Aug. 6. - Sat.- Mrs. R. Bishop + I were up to the hall 4 p.m. Our social, was held to-night, + there was a large crowd, $40.00 at the table. . Elsie, Hyne + children were out to it + stayed here all night.
Aug. 7. - Sun. - Annie, Willard + Howard came up this
a.m. We had ice-cream Annie, Howard, Elsie, Ethel + I went to church this p.m.
Aug. 8. - Mon. - We washed. I went up to the hall to help clean up this p.m. Henry lombard was here for tea as he is binding grain for us.
Aug. 9. - Tues. - Scrubbed the wood-shed, mama painted the kitchen floor another coat. finished mowing the lawn to-night.
Aug 10. - Wed. - It is a rainy a.m. I ironed this p.m. Mama went up to Mrs. Walker's this p.m. Pa finished wheeling in wood this p.m. Received a postal from Mabel T. Set our croquet set out this Eve.
Aug 11 Thurs. - Mama went by. Mr.R Bishops this a.m. Mrs. L.Walton & I went back to Corbett's woods this p.m. The St. Lawrence Rifle Ass. boys shot against the Brockville Boys on the B. Range this p.m. + were beaten by 31 points. Mrs. R. Bishop + Ruby came down this Eve.
Aug. 12. - Fri. - Papa + Hrnty were up to Grandma's this p.m. + swept upstairs. Mrs. + Mr. R. Bishop, Ruby, + Miss. S. Fairburn were here this Eve. Mr. Gordon stayed here to-night.
Aug 13. - Sat. - Mama went to town this a.m. with Harry Cowan. + got back 5 p.m.
with Mrs. Jno. Tousley She had the impression taken for her upper set of teeth. Annie + Howard were up this p.m. Herbie Barton helped draw in grain to-day. We have 3 more loads out.
Aug. 14. - Sun. - Went to S.S. this p.m. + we all went to church this Eve.
Aug. 15. - Mon. - Washed. Mr. T. Said-low was here for tea as he was helping draw in grain.
Aug 16. - Tues. - Mama went to town this a.m. Annie + Eva went up to Luella Kirkely's on an island 1 mile from the Bay, + left Howard here. I raked some this p.m. + the men drew in the last of the grain. Went back to pick peas to-night.
Aug 17. - Wed. - I ironed. Viola Walker was here this p.m.
Aug. 18. - Thur. - Annie came home to-night. it has been a rainy day.
Aug. 19. - Fri. - Mama + papa went to town this a.m. + brought Luella Daniels out. Mama got her upper plate of teeth. There is a chicken-pie social at Fairfield to-night. Mriss Daniels + I picked peas to-night. Papa went to Brockville as he was invited to a dinner (8 o'clock) at the Strathcona Hotel, by two cattle-buyers, for whom he expects to go to Iowa with a car-load of cattle. 18 were present.
Aug. 20. - Sat. - Willard, Jno. Tousley, R. Bishop, A.P. Bissell went to Ottawa 2. p.m. to attend the rifle matches. Annie + Howard came up to stay till to-morrow Eve. Mr. Jno. Beattie Jr. + Mrs. Basil Beattie came up this Eve. to play croquet.
Aug. 21. - Sun. - Rev. N. Mc.Leod peached at Stone's Church this a.m. We went to church this p.m. Rev. A.B. Johnston came here for tea. Laura, Luella + I walked down to St. George's this Eve + service. Wilhelmune took very sick to-night.
Aug. 22. - Mon - We washed. Luella + I went over to see Wilhelmine to-night + took her flowers- + also down to Mrs. Jno. Walton's. This is Mason's night.
Aug. 23. - Tues. - Ironed. Miss M. Moore came down this p.m. Luella went down to Mrs. Beattie's for tea also to spend the night. Laura was over this Eve
Aug 24. - Wed. - "St. George's Picnic." It has been very sulture for the past 3 days. Went to St. George's Picnic 1.30 p.m. Papa did the chores. The picnic was a great success. They made $261.00.
Aug. 26. - [] Henry took papa to town 10.30 a,m, + the cattle were taken across the river 1.30 p.m. They left Morristown 10 p.m. Elsie, Hyne, + children brought Miss Daniel's home this p.m. They were all here for tea.
Aug. 26. - Fri. - Miss Daniels, Henry + I went back for a load of corn for the cows. I pressed my skirt. Mama, Luella + I went up to Bishop's this Eve. I Henry went up to Grandma's to hunt coons. but did not get any.
Aug. 27. - Sat. - Luella went down to Warner's on the milk-rig, also stopped at Beattie's Dalton's corning up. Henry + I took her in 1.30 p.m. + got home 4.40 p.m. Henry went up for coons again to-night but failed to see any
Aug. 28. - Sun. - It is a nice day. Annie, Willard + Howard came up this a.m. + Elsie, Hyne, + children came out this p.m. We all went to church this Eve.
Aug. 29. - Mon. Washed. Mama went up to Mrs. J. Walker's this Eve. The nights are quite cool.
Aug. 30. - Tues. - "Brockville Fair" I ironed all day. Went back for a load of corn this 4 p.m.
Aug. 31. - Wed. - It rained all this forenoon. Elsie, + Hyne went to Brockville this p.m. + left the children here. Made Corn Salad this p.m. Worked some on my block to-night.

Dec. 13. - Tues. - Papa, Henry, & Jevent to a temp exam a lecture in Bettel Church. given by RW. Ms. Me. {Illegible} of {illegible} Ms. C. Cole was Chairman. Dec. 14. - Wed. - It stormed ts day. I ironed. Dec. 15. - Thur. - Snowed to -day {illegible} I finished ironing. Dec. 16. - Fri. - Swept upstairs. Dec. 19. Mon. - Mama & Papa went to town this p.m. Laura was over this Eve. This is Mason's night.
Dec. 20. - Tues. - It is storming some to-day. Social & Lecture tonight at Bethel Church. Rev. F. A. Read gave a Lecture on "Ireland & the Irish." Had a good time. Sidney Easton arrived home to-day.
Dec. 21. - Wed. - Rev. A. B. Johnston stayed here last night & went to Brockville this a.m. They gathered & cleaned up the hall This p.m. Henry & I went to town this p.m.
Dec. 22. - Thur. - I went down to Stone's Corner School with Jessie & Electa & helped them trim the tree. Was at Annie's for dinner. Annie & Howard, Mary, Peggie, Florence Manhard, ,Edina & Gladyn Landon, Florence & Leora {illegible} Rulry Dawson. Jessie & I {illgible} went down to Elector Christmas tree 2. p.m. on a sleigh. Had a good time.
Dec. 23. - Fri. - Have been busy allday 3 years ago to-night (Mon.Eve) a few of the congregation of Bathel Church gathered here to give Mary Warner a foreoent of $10.00.
Dec. 24. - Sat. - I finished the prepar-ations for Christmas & decorated the tree to-night. Papa went to town this a.m. - Henry went 3.30.p.m.
Dec. 25. Sun. - "Christmas Day" we went to church this p.m. Ms. Wm. Esaton came here after church & stayed for tea. Laura & I went to St. George's to church this Eve. They presented Miss. S. Stone, against with a handsome $10.00 Cross & chain, also a hand-bag. It's a cold night.
Dec. 26. - Mon - We celebrated Christmas to-day. Eloie, Hyne, Charlie & Ethel & Annie. Willard & Howard were all here. We all received a good many foresento. Went home with Annie. 5.p.m. as Willard went to N. Augusta to play, & I stayed all night.
Dec. 27. Tues. - Papa came for me 10. a.m. I was over to Warmeso this morn & saw their tree. Straightemeds of the house. This is Mason's night. St. John's Night, they are having an after supper.

June 16. - Fri. - Finished planting our late potatoes this noon. Henry, Papa & I went to Chester Hudson's funeral 2.p.m. Henry was one of the pall bearers. Rev. Mr. Campbell Presbyterian student preached it (at the house) It was a long procession. Mr. Jno. Walker is here this Eve.
June 17. - Sat. - This is a fine day. Papa went to town this a.m. We stretched our parlor curtains to-day. I put them up.
June 18. - Sun. - D.D. this p.m. church this Eve.
June 19. - Mon. - Ethel Orr is 6 yrs old to-day. Annie is married 4 yrs to-day. Mrs. J. Dalton & I went strawberrying. Each get 5 quarts. Heavy Thunder storm to-night. Papa set out the celery plants to-day. Mama cleaned all all day.
June 20. - Tues. - Washed.
June 21. - Wed. - Ironed. Ladies Aid met this p.m. at Mrs. Jno. Corbett's. Went up to Mrs. Lo night's this p.m. Mason's are having a meeting to-night.
June 22. - Thur. - "Colonation Day" 12 noon England. Annie, Howard, & I went up to Grandma Manhard's this morn. Papa came for us this Eve. Choir practise at Warner's this Eve. We had berries & cake.
June 23. - Fri. - I picked 92 boxes of berries at Warner's to-day. They had 12 crates. Stayed at Annie's to-night as Willard had to go to the asylum.
June 24. - Sat. - Nine yrs to-night. Elsie was married. Annie, Howard & I came up on the milk-nig this Morn. I went to town with Papa. Got a new dress & shoes.
June 25. - Sun. - Rev. Mr. Keough our new minister preached this p.m. Annie & Willard went out to Elsie's after church. Howard has the measles.
June 26. - Mon. - Went down to Warner's on the milk rig & picked 87 boxes of berries. The men were looking on the sheds this p.m. & Eve. Mrs. R.. Bishop was here this Eve.
June 27. - Tues. - Washed & cooked for social, also did all the upstairs work.
June 28. - Wed. - This is a fine day. Finished cooking this a.m. I went to the hall this p.m. "Grand Evening." Bethel Social I had a good time & cleared 65 {illegible}
June 29. - Thur. - Cleared up everything this a.m. Went to Electa's School picnic in Mr. Stone's Woods. Basket Ball this Eve.
June 30. - Fri. - picked urrants. Has been a fine day.

July 1. - Sat. - Papa went to town this a.m. & came home 3 p.m. He brought Aunt Sarah & Lekoy's wife. Bell Bell & I went to the factory to-night & Annie & Howard came back with us. Did not get to bed till 11 o'clock.
July 2. - Sun. - Papa took Bell & Aunt Sarah out to Sheperd's this a.m. Grandma throop is 89 to-day. S.S. this p.m. Charlie & Ethel came home with Papa this p.m. to stay a while. Papa, Henry & I went to church this Eve. Very warm.
July 3. - Mon. - Washed.
July 4. - Tues. - Minnie brought Bell & Aunt Sarah out this a.m. I took Charlie & Ethel home. Annie & Willard went to Morristown & felt Howard here. Papa took Bell to town this p.m. She took the 2.30 train for Toronto.
July 5. - Wed. - very warm weather Mama & Aunt Sarah were visiting at Bishops to-day. Drew in the first hay to-day.
July 6. - Thur. - Heavy storm 8.30 a.m. Then Aunt Sarah went to Annie's. Ironed. Another heavy storm 5 p.m. cooler. Bishop Mills us to be at St. George's to-night.
July 7. - Fri. - Hattie Walker was here this p.m. Papa took Aunt Sarah to Shepherd's this Eve. We played basket-ball & I also went to choir practice.

July 22. - Sat. - My foot is swelled & quite sore. Laura was over this Eve.
July 23. - Sun. - This is a nice day. Henry went up to Grandma Manhard's & Mama went to D.D. & church this p.m. Wrote letters this Eve.

Aug. 26. - Sat. - Had the threshers for dinner & Bishop's had them for supper Auntie & Mama helped Mrs. Bishop. Henry & I took Aunt Sarah to town & brought Luella H. out. This is a dandy night.
Aug. 27. - Sun. - Luella & I went to St. George's 3. p.m. to service. Mrs. Dr. Maya & Mrs. H. Lockwood were here this p.m. Rained & a heavy thunder shower 5 p.m.
Aug. 28. - Mon. - Did not go any-where to-day. Rained to-night.
Aug. 29. - Tues. - Washed. Mama helped Mrs. Wm. Knapp get dinner. Luella went to Beattie's for dinner & I went this p.m. We were down to the basket-ball game trimmed our booth etc.
Aug. 30. - Wed. - {on side "St. George's picnic"} "We." went over to Mrs. Kyle's 8.30 a.m. & helped her a little. Went to the picnic at St. Geroge's 1.30 p.m. & Mrs. Jno. Beattie J. Lanny. I took charge of the booth. We took in $41.25
Aug. 31. - Thur. - We went to Annie's this a.m. & had snap shots taken. Arrived home 4.30 p.m. Henry took Luella to town this Eve & brought Auntie out.

Sept. 5. - Tues. - "Brockville Fair" Eva McGanity came here this a.m. Auntie & Annie & Howard came this p.m. & {illegible} Johnston came to-night to stay all night then go to the fair. Papa took Annie & Howard home & Eva to Mr. Bissells to-night as it is raining. Auntie & I sang songs.
Sept. 6. - Wed. - Dr. Theo. I went to the fair this morn. Papa took Aunt Sarah bag & baggage this p.m. to B.
Sept. 7. - Thur. - Henry & I went to the fair this p.m. Quite cold to-day.
Sept. 8. - Fri. - Last day of the fair. I went again this p.m. with Mr. & Mrs. R. Bishop. Had a good time Dr. Theo came here & stayed all night.
Sept. 9. - Sat. - Very heavy fog this morn. Dr. Theo went home this morn. Papa went to market. Henry was at the Range this p.m. I was at Bishop's to-night & we had melons.
Sept. 10. - Sun. - Henry went to Grandma Manhard's this a.m. Mama went up to Mr. Jno. Walker's this a.m. as Mr. Walker is quite ill. S.S. this p.m. & church this Eve. These are grand & glorious moonlight nights.
Sept. 11. - Mon. - Wash-day. Went up to Bishops 5.p.m. for corn. "Mason's Night."
Sept. 12. - Tues. - Prescott Fair. Mama was at Mrs. U. Well's & Annie's to-day. Miss M. Rath called here this a.m. She is on her way to Calgary from the British Isles & leaves to-morrow for Calgary Alta. Rec. a card from Aunt Sarah also one from Nellie C.
Sept. 13. - Wed. - Mama preserved crab-apples to-day. Annie & Howard were in a few minutes this p.m. Ironed. Grand weather. Cold nights.
Sept. 14. - Thur. - Pickling to-day. Henry helped Johnie Beattie cutting corn to-day. Rec. a card from L.D. from Ottawa.

Sept. 20. - Wed. - Rec. Mr. & Mrs. Krough were here for dinner. Papa, Mr. Jesse Easton & Jno. Dalton went for the corn-cutters at Maynard this p.m. This has been a grand day.
Sept. 21. - Thur. - "Election Day" Henry is D.R.O. & Theo is Clerk. Laura was over this Eve. Hon. Ges. P. Graham defeated Webster. won. & Laurier Government put out of power. Henry & Theo went to town to-night.
Sept. 22. - Fri. - Cooked for corn-cutters. Annie & Howard were here to-day. The men are away cutting corn at Jno Dalton's.
Sept. 23. - Sat. - The corn-cutters moved up here 11.30.a.m. & were here for supper. Annie & Howard were here all day. Charlie came out this p.m. Grand day & nice night.
Sept. 24. - Sun. - S.S. this p.m. Hyne & Ethel came for Charlie this p.m. We all went to service at 7.30.
Sept. 25. - Mon. - Rainy. Went up to see Mrs. Bishop this p.m. Colder. Wrote to E.J.F.R.
Sept. 26. - Tues. - Cutting corn here to-day & finished 3.30 p.m. & moved to Mr. Jesse Easton's. Annie & Howard were here & helped get dinner. Beautiful night. Quite cold. Rec.d a letter from J.D. & card from Eva Mc.
Sept. 27. - Wed. - Washed & picked pears. Finished cutting corn at Mr. Jesse Easton's to-night.
Sept. 28. - Thur. - Moved our cook-stove in this noon. Laura & I went to the Woods this p.m. I went to choir practice at Warner's to-night.
