July 8. – Fri. – Papa went to town this a.m. Myrtle Myles, Mrs. S. Cole & Stewart started West 11.30 a.m. via G.T.R. It is very warm. Mama made lemon biscuits this p.m. & I scrubbed the shed. July 9. – Sat. – Viola Walker came down this p.m. Took a lesson this p.m. Cut the first piece of hay to-day. July 10. – Sun. – Went to S.S. & Church this p.m. Mr. Stafford sang a solo. Elsie, Hyne & children, Annie, Willard & Howard, also Thos. Johnston were here for tea. There was quite a thunder storm this a.m. but it is a dandy night. July 11. – Mon. – We washed. Took off some honey at noon. Fred S. was over this Eve. I raked some this p.m.
