November 1900

Thurs Nov 1st: Fine day. We were at home

Fri Nov 2nd: Fine day quiet warm. Aunt Mattie and I at Pa’s in the evening. Aunt Nellie up at Mary’s.

Sat Nov 3rd: Fine day and warm. Aunt Mattie and I walked out to Lydia Deans, Mrs Froyer and Lynda here for tea.

Sun Nov 4: Fine day. Uncle and Auntie at morning Ch. I went to Fisherville, Aunt M. and I also Annie and Lizzie went to Thornhill Methodist.

Mon Nov 5: Day of Reception for 1st {Coulingent?} Auntie called on Mrs James. A dreadful wind storm.

Tues Nov 6: Fine day but dull. Auntie Nellie at W.A. Meeting; We light our coal stoves.

Wed Nov 7: Rained in the morning, “Election Day” I was at Mary’s in the afternoon. Prayer meeting.

Thurs Nov 8: Rained all day. At W.A Meeting. At Mrs. {Drury?}

Fri Nov 9: Very cold and windy. Auntie went to Toronto.

Sat Nov 10: Very cold frozen so could not plough in morning. Aunt Mattie came home from Toronto.

Sun Nov 11: Fine day a little warmer. Uncle at pa’s for dinner. T.Farr here for tea; went to evening Ch.

Mon Nov 12: Still colder, Aunt Nellie came home.

Tues Nov 13: Heavy snow about four inches. We brought our brought up cattle. Cooking stone in. Very cold a few cutters out.

Wed Nov 14: Uncle up at Maple, very cold, Mr. Berrnett called. I did not go to Prayer Meeting.

Thur Nov 15: Fine day but cold. Uncle and I went up to Willis in the morning.

Fri Nov. 16. Fine day about two above zero in the morning. Uncle brought Mary down in the sleigh. I went for a ride the sleigh went fine.

Sat Nov.17. Frank Teasdale came for walnuts; Lizzie Cooper also. Tom Farr here all night, raining.

Sun Nov.18. Rained heavily in afternoon and evening. We went to Pa’s to spend the day. Had duck.

Mon. Nov.19. Rained heavily all day; Uncle went to Toronto with Tom, snow all gone. Made fruit cakes.

Tue. Nov.20.Rained a little, much warmer. Uncle and Nick went to Vaughan Plowing Match.

Wed. Nov. 21. Rained a little, very high wind. Tom Farr brought out a piece of {Venion?}

Thurs. Nov. 22. Dull day, moderately warm. Uncle and Mick (B.Oslir married) went to Unionville Plowing Match.

Fri Nov 23. Fine but cold. Aunt Mattie and I went out to call at {Dalzirls?}

Sat Nov 24. Fine until evening, started snowing, Uncle and Aunt Mattie went to John Cooks.

Sun Nov 25. Snowing in the morning then cleared up {quiet?} from the afternoon. Aunt Nellie at John Cooks for dinner and tea, Uncle and she at morning church. Uncle at T.Farrs for tea. I went to Fisherville in the afternoon.

Tue Dec 18.. Fine and mild but a little foggy- Aunt Mattie and Nellie walked out to call at Mr Fred Gallanonghs, in afternoon rained in evening.

Wed Dec 19.. Beautiful mild day, Aunt Mattie and I went to Toronto, stayed with Alice all night.

Thurs Dec 20= Fine day still mild, we were shopping all day and came home on the 5.40 car.

Fri Dec 21.. Pa’s took the fowls to Toronto got ten cents, Aunt Mattie, Lizzie, and I went to decorate.

Sat Dec 22.. Fine day, little George Morse came, Annie and Lizzie here for tea,

Sun Dec 23= Rained heavily in morning, then cleared a little muddy, Uncle, Aunt Nellie and george at Church. We all went to {Willis *illegable*?}

Mon Dec 24” Fine day turning colder, Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I went out to decorate at the church.

Tues Dec 25= “Christmas Day,” We all went to Pa’s for to spend the day, We went down to Mr. Leasedales to skate in the evening.

Wed Dec 26- Fine day, we were at home all day.

Thurs Dec 27- Fine day: auntie went up to Mr Keys for tea, Uncle out at supper at {The Lody?}

Fri Dec 28- Fine day, Ucle took a load of wood to the Church, the firls and I went up to Mr Keys to {sleate?}

Sat Dec 29- Uncle and I went to Richmond Hill in morning, the girls here for awhile in the afternoon, then we went sleating in the evening.

Sun Dec 30th_ Uncle, Aunt Mattie and George went to church in the morning. It snowed a little in the afternoon. Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I went to evening Church.

Mon Dec 31st_ Fine, in morning, came snow flurries in the afternoon. Old Mr {Bezzyl} came! Uncle went to Dr Nellies funeral, Auntie went to Felicia Cooks, then Uncle called for tea.

Tues Jan 1_ Fine day. Pa’s family also, Tom and Sarah Farr here to spend the day.

Wed Jan 2” Fine but decidedly colder, George went home, I went to Prayer Meeting.

Thur Jan 3” Fine day. The girls and I went skating down to Mr Leasedales.

Fri Jan 4” Uncle in Toronto, Aunt Mattie and I went down to Mr Leasedales in the evening. I was at Mr Watsons in {morning?}

Sat Jan 5” Fine day. Mild, Dick & Mary Watson also Alongo here for tea.

Sun Jan 6”_ Fine day, Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I went to morning Church, I went to Fisherville. In the evening Uncle and Aunt Nellie went to the evening Church. M and Elsie Loyer here in the eveing, came squawl of snow at night.

Mon Jan 7” Fine day, we were at home all day, Uncle at Mr. Farrells in the evening, Lily and Maggie Snider called in the afternoon.

Tues Jan 8” The old man went home;; rained at night and took all the snow off.

Wed Jan 9” Roads good; Uncle went to Toronto, Mr and Mrs Gibson and Mrs Baker also John and Felicia Cook here for tea:

Thurs Jan 10= Snowed a little then sleeted and froze last night. Pa’s could not thrash, Uncle took us out to W.A. Meeting at Miss Farrs, then came for us in the evening. Some cutters out on Yonge Street, but no sleighing here.

Fri Jan 11th: Fine morning then commenced to snow in the afternoon. They thrashed all day.

Sat Jan 12.. Plenty of snow though not packed very good yet. Finished thrashing at Pa's then moved the machine over here. Uncle went out to Thornhill in the evening.

Sun Jan 13..- Beautiful day, quiet mild Aunt Nellie and Uncle went to church; I went to Fisherville. Uncle and Tom {Farr?} out for a drive. Then Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I went out in evening.

Mon Jan 14. We are thrashing, a little stormy in afternoon.

Tue Jan 15:- Raining a little, Aunt Mattie went to Toronto in the afternoon, I went out to Thornhill Mick had the team hauling wood, Aunt Nellie and I went up to Willies in evening.

Wed Jan 16.. Fine day very slushy and mild. Then at night it turned very cold and windy.

Thur Jan 17. Fine day but cold, we were at home all day,

Fri Jan 18. Mr and Mrs. Farrell came in afternoon. We sold three pan chickens {at Soct?}, We went to Mr Welsh's for tea, very cold.

Sat Jan 19. It is extremely cold, about fourteen below zero in the city, about 10 below zero here in the evening when Uncle took the girls and I to the Rink,

Sun Jan 20.. Fine and quiet mild, I went to Church in the afternoon, Willie, Mary, and the baby, here for tea; also John Cook and Mr Gardiner,

Mon Jan 21.. Dull and very mild, the sleighning nearly gone. Uncle took Aunt Nellie and I to call on Mrs Nellie in the afternoon.

Tue Jan 22 = Beautiful day a little colder,I called at Mary {Watson's?} in the afternoon, Queen died 7. pm

Wed Jan 23.. Fine day, mild, Mr Frances buried, I went to Prayer meeting in the evening,

Thur Jan 24.. Rained in the afternoon, we were at home.

Fri Jan 25.. Colder, came a little snow last night which made the sleighing a little better; Annie called in the morning. Up at Mary's for tea, she had the girls up for tea. Uncle and Aunt Nellie over at Pa's in the evening.

Sat Jan 26 = Beautiful day, I went over to see Lucy {Bows?} she is very sick, home in the evening.

Sun Jan 27.. Fine with exception of a little light snow, Uncle and Auntie at Church, I went to Fisherville, and we all went in the evening "Memorial Service for the Queen"

Mon Jan 28 = Came quiet a fall of snow, Mr and Mrs Farrell here for tea.

Tue Jan 29.. _ A little colder, Uncle and I went to Thornhill in the afternoon, Mrs Alf. Keller called.

Wed Jan 30.._ Fine in the morning, then came a snow flurry in the afternoon. Uncle shot four pigeons, I called in at Pa's in the afternoon.

Thur Jan 31.. Fine day, We drove up to Willie's in the afternoon.

Fri Feb. 1st _ Beautiful day. We went up for Mary in the morning, a little colder,

Sat Feb. 2nd _ Fine day. I went to Mr {Teadales?} for tea, Uncle and Tom Farr drove to Toronto in the evening.

Sun Feb. 3.. High East wind. We went to Church in the morning; I went up to Willie for tea. It commenced to storm, Uncle came for me. Dr Millman spoke in the evening {illegible}.

Mon Feb. 4.. Very stormy all day. Thomas Poole here.

Tue, Feb. 5.. Fine day. good sleighing. Aunt Nellie at W. A. Meeting at Mrs Cherrys.

Wed Feb. 6.._ Fine day. moderately cold. Tom Farr here for dinner, Uncle and I went to the Band Carnival.

Thur Feb. 7.. Fine day. Aunt Nellie went to W. A. Meeting at Mrs Gibsons. Uncle and I went out for her in the evening.

Fri Feb. 8.. Fine day. Tom Farr and Uncle went to Woodbridge in the afternoon. Sarah also Annie Cooper here for tea.

Sat Feb. 9.. Very stormy and cold all day. Storm abataed about five O'clock then Uncle made {lunch?} down the lane. Willie here in the afternoon.

Sun, Feb. 10th:__ Roads pretty snowy, Uncle and Auntie went to church in the morning, Uncle and I went in the evening, it is snowing a little.

Mon. Feb. 11th._ Fine day, we were at home with the exception of me. I was up at Mary's. Mr. Bowes had a stroke.

Tue Feb. 12._ Very stormy. roads very bad in some places. Uncle went out to meet Aunt Mattie.

Wed Feb. 13. Very cold and windy, blowing all day.

Thur Feb. 14..=: Very cold, We went out to the Social at the Gibsons, the road not very good in places. quiet a crowd, took in about 30, {illegible}

Fri Feb 15.. Fine day. Lizzie came over and stayed all night.

Sat Feb. 16.. Fine day. quiet mild, Annie came over for tea. Uncle took us all to the Skating Rink.

Sun Feb. 17.. Fine day, Uncle and I went to Fisherville. Then ({above line of text, in smaller writing} Mr Bowes died) Uncle took the sleigh and took the girls, Aunt Mattie and I to Church in evening.

Mon Feb. 18.. Fine day. very mild. Willie, and Thomas here helping to cut feed,; Lizzie here. as the rest went out to Toronto, Aunt Mattie and I went out to help clean up the Church after decorations.

Tue Feb. 19.._: Fine morning then very stormy in the afternoon. Mr Bowes was buried.

Wed Feb. 20.._ Fine day, a little colder, I went to Prayer Meeting

Thur Feb 21.. Snowed in the afternoon, I walked out to call at Lydia {Hems?} and Forbes.

Fri Feb. 22.. Fine day. Uncle brought out Mrs Gibson {for day?}.

Sat Feb. 23..Beautiful day, colder, we spent day at Pa's had, Turkey and Plum Pudding.

Sun Feb. 24.. Fine day, Uncle and Aunt Nellie at Church I went to Fisherville in afternoon Aunt Mattie called at Mary's and Farry Gordans. Aunt Mattie Uncle and I went to evening Church.

Mon Feb. 25.. Fine day. with exception of a {sqawl?} of snow.

Tue Feb. 26.. We {(above line of text, in smaller writing) Uncle and Aunt Nellie at {illegible} had Mr Welshs also Tom and Sara for tea.

Wed Feb 27.. I called at Mr Heys and Mr Teasdales. Uncle took Aunt Mattie and I out to The Carnival.

Thur Feb 28.. Fine day. We were at home all day.

Fri Feb 29 Mar 1st {above 'Feb 29'}.. Fine day untill evening it was a little damp. We had the young people to spend the evening.

Sat Mar 2.. Fine a little cold, Mary and Marjorie {illegible} from last night, I went with the S.S. for the drive then a had a tea in the hall.

Sun Mar 3.. Cold East wind, Aunt Mattie and Uncle at Church then at Mr Farrs for dinner. rained a little in the evening.

Mon Mar 4.. Fine day. but very mild, taking the sleighing. Pa's family also Mr and Mrs Heys here for tea

Tue Mar 5.. Fine day, much colder and very windy, Aunt Nellie at the W.A. Meeting at Mrs {Iroyers?}. Uncle took Aunt M. and I to see Aunt Nancy. Tom Farr called in the evening.

Wed Mar. 6th.. Fine day, but very cold untill night it turned a little milder. Willie called in the afternoon Uncle and I went down in sleigh load to Mr Bermeth. about thirty went; roads very bad.

Thur Mar 7. Fine day much milder.; Uncle and Aunt Mattie went down to Mr Pearsons to a Presentation

Fri Mar 8th.. Damp day, then commenced to snow in the evening. Aunt Mattie at Pa's for a while.

Sat Mar 9.. We had a very heavy fall of snow but very wet and damp. Uncle took Aunt Mattie and I out to Thornhill, I went to John Books for tea, then Uncle came for me in the evening.

Sun Mar 10"._ We went to morning Church, it rained and froze all afternoon, sleeting the trees up.

Mon Mar 11th..= Raining a little in the morning. Ice all thawed off. Cars late we went down to Toronto in the 12 O'clock car. Then went to Alices for the night

Tue Mar 12.. Fine and a little colder, We called at Aunt Lizzies then home in the 5:40 Car.

Wed Mar 13.._ Verry stormy day, all day, terrific east wind. We are quilting our quilt, Thomas seen {Robine?}

Thur Mar 14.. Mild and Snowing, wery wet. We went to Mr Heffers {(above line of text, in smaller writing) had to make road through field} and Mr Welshs collecting Missionary Money.

Fri Mar 15.. Rather Stormy at times, I went up to Mary's for a while, Uncle and Aunt Mattie out collecting

Sat Mar 16..= Beautiful day. Uncle brought Marjorie down in the morning, Mary & Willie here tea

Sun Mar 17.._ Fine day, quiet mild, I went to Fisherville. Uncle, Aunt Mattie & I at evening Church.

Mon Mar 18.. Very mild roads very sloppy. Aunt Mattie called ({above line of text, in smaller writing} T. Farr here in the evening) at Mrs Bowes; Mr and Mrs Gibson called

Tue Mar 19.._ {FVerry?} stormy, Snowing and blowing all day,Uncle at Mr {Shuters?} funeral, We went out to John Cooks to spend the evening, gateways drifted, Cars stopped

Wed Mar 20 = Mild and raining. Uncle and Aunt Nellie at Lenten Service. had to dig out gateways.

Thir Mar 21.._ Fine day. We were at home all day.

Fri Mar 22.. Fine day a little colder. Uncle brought Felicia and the children out; Aunt Nellie and I went out for a drive in the evening.

Sat Mar 23.. Fine day. Uncle took wood out for the Church. he and Tom Farr went for a drive in the afternoon. My cold is much worse. John {Hilne?} here for tea. Roads sloppy.

Sun Mar 24 = Sleighing nearly all gone some Buggies out; Uncle & Aunt Nellie at Church. Our field and roads very watery.

Mon Mar 25 = Dull day. Tom, Sara and the children out for tea. Snow going fast, then died and lightened at night; rained heavily.

{most likely continued from Monday Mar. 25th entry} Mr Pearson called and had tea.

Tue Mar 26.. Fine day. The water going out the ditches our field very watery but water getting away. Uncle at Mr Woods funeral, Ma and girls went to Toronto, lots of blackbirds & Robins.

Wed Mar 27.= Colder, our field bad but the roads are imporving; Uncle broke a roads thro the lane. Aunt Mattie and Uncle went to Lenten Service. I wrote to Minnie Appelbe, Willie brought Marjorie.

Thur Mar 28.. Freezing, quiet clean, Willie here for a while in the afternoon.

Fri. Mar. 29.._ Fine day, cold; Mary came home from Toronto, we had tea here, then took Marjorie home.

Sat Mar 30th.. Beatiful day, much warmer, {illegible} road very dry up the centre; I walked to the Store; our lane deep with Snow, but not bad walking;- down; Aunt Nellie has a bad cold.

Sun Mar 31st.._ Fine but a raw wind, Uncle Aunt Mattie and I at Church in the morning, Uncle and Aunt Mattie went again at night, I did not go as my cold is not well yet.

Mon Apr. 1.. "April Fool Day". Fine but cold, Uncle Aunt Mattie and I went down to Mr Farrells for tea, our road quiet dry, cleaned the mans room.

Tue Apr 2.. Fine untill evening it commenced to rain, Uncle down at Station to see Mr Pearson off to N.W. {town?}

Wed Apr 3.. Raining a little all day, makes the yard very wet worse than ever.

Thur Apr 4.. Fine day, rather cold; roads sloppy, Uncle and Aunt Mattie went out to Thornhill. Aunt M. at W.A; meeting at Mrs Gibsons; {Mick hid?}

Good Friday Fri Apr 5.. Fine and a little warmer. Pa's and family, also Willie and Mary here to spend the day, Pa is poorly, my cough is not much better.

Sat Apr 6.._ Fine and colder; we were all over at Pa's to spend the day, they had their last turkey.

Sun Apr 7.. Fine day, Aunt Mattie spent the day with the girls, as Ma is away at her Mothers Uncle and Aunt Nellie at morning Church. The roads are drying up, quiet a lot of snow and ice in our lane yet.

Mon Apr 8.. Easter Monday..Fine day, Annie Mason and Lizzie here for tea,

Tue Apr 9.. Fine and a little warmer; my cold getting better ({in smaller text, between this and next line of writing} Two of our turkeys layed.)

Wed Apr 10.. Fine roads nice and dry again, Mr Bennett here for dinner; We took our stove out in the afternoon; Uncle and Aunt Mattie went for a drive in the evening; I went to Prayer Meeting

Thur Apr 11.. Much warmer; Mary brought Marjorie down in ({in smaller text, between this and next line of writing} cleaned the chamber) the Carriage; then Uncle took us to Miss Allans

Fri Apr 12.._ Fine day still warmer. Uncle took some Roots out of the cellar. We got Maple Syrup, a few frogs croaking. a great many are Seeding. Pa's Starting, did some gardening

Sat Apr.13= Fine day, Annie Teasedale here for tea. Uncle and Aunt Mattie at Thornhill in eve.

Sun Apr.14,, Fine but a little dull. I wore my spring hat to morning Church but not in the afternoon, roads very dusty, Uncle and Aunt Nellie at Willies in the evening. All turkeys laying.

Mon Apr.15,, Fine day, warm. We cleaned our cellar, Mick started work. T. Farr here in the evening. Mr. Gibson called in the afternoon, Aunt Mattie and I at Pa's in the evening. F. Farrs have a daughter.

Tue Apr.16,, Fine the warmest day yet. We cleaned Uncles room and spare room, Uncle {abbr. for brought?}." Marysue down, then Mary came for tea, Aunt Mattie walked to Thornhill for Onions, started seeding.


Wed Apr. 17,, Fine day, finished cleaning upstairs. Sensus man called, I went to Prayer Meeting .

Thurs Apr. 18,, Raining a little all day, Uncle went to town in afternoon. We cleaned Parlor and spare bedroom. Aunt Mattie walked down to ask for Mrs Baldwin, Uncle brought a horse home, cleaned parlor and spare room.


Fri Apr.19,, Fine but cold. We finished cleaning kitchen, all done with the exception of dining room (1.6)

Sat Apr.20.. Snowing all day. We were at home all day, very wet, heavy rain last night.

Sun Apr 21,, (26.) Raining a little all afternoon: Willie here for awhile, did not go to Church, very sloppy.

Mon Apr.22= Snow nearly all gone again; Rained heavily thru, the night; We did a small wash. uncle & Aunt M went to Mr Farnells they are branding Cattle, Cannot seed for awhile.

Tues Apr. 23,, Rained last night, dull all day. Aunt Mattie and I at Pa's for a while in the afternoon.

Wed Apr.24: Raining a little all day, cleared about four and turned very warm. i went to Prayer Meeting.

Thurs. Apr.25,, Fine day, very warm. I walked out to Thornhill, to call at Felicia's, Uncle and Aunt Mattie drove up to Richmond Hil.


Fri Apr.26,, Fine, and quite mild. Marjorie here as Mary is in Toronto. Mr and Mrs {McMonty?} and Susie Gallanongh here for tea.


Sat Apr. 27,, Fine and warm. I took off heavy flannel. Annie and Lizzie here for tea.


Sun Apr.28,, Fine and very warm. Uncle, Aunt Mattie, and I went to Church, I went to Fisherville. Aunt M and I to Thornhill Me, at night. I went to pa's, Uncle and Tom out for drive.

Mon Apr 29,, Still warm, we washed blankets, started to make soup. Aunt Nellie went down to Tom Brows for duck eggs, Mrs Leasdale and Annie here for awhile in the evening.


Tues Apr.30. Dull day, rained heavily in evening. Annie and I at Mary Watsons and went to the station to see the folks off to Alberta.

Wed May 1st,, Dull day, fine in the evening, I went to Prayer Meeting.

Thurs May 2nd,, Dull all day, rained heavily early this morning, Nellie went to Toronto, Aunt Mattie and I went to see Mrs Baldwin in the evening, we have a Jersey Calf, turning cold.

Fri May 3,, Very cool, fine day, Aunt Mattie and I went to Mary's and {Brov?}; Marjorie down.


Sat May 4,, Beautiful day, Aunt Nellie came home in the evening; she is poorly.

Sun May 5,, Fine day, pretty warm. Uncle and Aunt Mattie at morning Church, I went to Fisherville in the afternoon, Pa's here in eve.

Mon May 6,, Fine day, very warm, we were at home all day; Mr and Mrs Gibson called.

Tues May 7,, Beautiful day, very warm, I started to feed the little pig: I went to Mr Teasdale in the afternoon.

Wed May 8;; Fine day, Aunt Mattie went down to Toronto to attend W.A. Meeting, Annie called in the morning, Mary and Marjorie here did not go to Prayer Meeting as it was thundering:

Thurs M. 9,, A little cooler; dull and sprinkling rain in the afternoon; Uncle went to a raising at Mr Gordons.

Fri May 10,, Dull and cool, Mr McElroy and John called, Aunt Mattie and Alice came on 8:00 car.

Sat May 11;; Dull day, we were at home; trees coming out; cherry and plum blossom out:

Sun May 12;; Came a dreadful rain in morning. Uncle; Aunt M. and Alice at Church, Willie; Mary & Marjorie came just got here before a heavy thunder storm & hail.

Mon May 13;; Dull and cold, Uncle cut lawn. We went over to Pa's in the evening.

Tues May 14,, Fine day, we went to the bush to gather May flowers. Uncle, Pa and Willie took the fat cattle down. The Mises Wilcox called, Uncle, Aunt M and Alice went to see Mrs Baldwin, I went for a drive in the evening.

Wed May 15.. Fine day, quiet, a frost last night but warmer today. Uncle, Alice & I went for a drive, to Pine View, Rochmond-Hill, Headford {rc?} Mr & Mrs Gibson called in evening, I was at Prayer Meeting.

Thurs May 16,, Fine day, a little warmer, T. Farr and Uncle went for a little drove then to lanes {?}

Fri May 17,, Rained a little all day. Uncle, Aunt M. and N. and I went to Pa's then L. & I went to Mr Leasedales for {drill *illegible*} Gordon died this morning.

Sat May 18. Fine but rather cool. Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I went up to Gordons in the evening.

Sun May 19,, Cold and showery all day. Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I went to Mr Rivers to spend the day, Aunt Nellie went to the funeral.

Fri May 24" Empire Day Rained all day, We were at home until evening. I went over to Pa's for awhile.

Mon may 27" Fine and warmer, Uncle and Aunt Nellie at Mr Whites they were laying the foundation. Aunt M. went to Toronto. We went to a lecture at Fisherville, I went with the girls.

Mon July 1st Dominion Day- Extremely warm again. Willie took Mary, the girls, and I up to Maple Picnic, a great crowd there- men hauling manure.

Tue July 2" Continuing warm. The girls over for peas in the evening came a little thunder storm. Pa's started laying.

Wed July 3- A little cooler. I went to Ice Cream Social at Fisherville, beautiful evening. men hauling manure all week, Aunties at Mr Charltons in eve.

Sat July 6" Had a heavy rain last evening. We went up to Picnic at Bond Lake lovely day. The new buggy came home.

Fri Nov 1st- Fine day, had a little rain last night to settle the dust, but did not make the plowing any better, Aunt Mattie came home. We got word that Minnie Appelbe's little baby died on Wednesday.

Sat Nov.2nd- Fine day, very warm. I went over to Ma's, had to come home as Annie Leasdale was here. Mr McMurtry and Louie called we got our five gallons of coal oil_ Willies have a son.

Sun Dec 1st- Fine and very mild; just like spring, the snow nearly all gone and quite slushy, Aunt Mattie poorly with a cold, Uncle and Aunt Nellie at morning Church. I went to Fisherville, Uncle went to Mr Farrs for tea.

Mon Dec 2nd- Mild in the morning but turned to freezing in the evening. Aunt Mattie cold a little better, I called over at Pa's in the afternoon.

Tues Dec.3rd- Fine and very cold. Annie and I went down to Toronto, men are taking barley to the {baker?}. Uncle and Aunt Nellie at Mr Carltons in the eve.

Wed Dec 4th- Fine and very cold. Mick left to night, I went to Prayer Meeting. 4 above zero in the morning.

Thurs Dec 5th- Fine and a little milder, Aunt Mattie at W.A. Meeting. Uncle and Aunt Nellie up at Mr Keys for tea. Mary and baby at Pa's for first time.

Fri Dec 6th- Fine day, but cold east wind. Annie and I went to a party at Ms Ghomas Bowes;

Sat Dec 7- Fine day, milder. Pa's family here for dinner we had goose. I went over to Pa's in evening. Young people there preaching Dialogues.

Sun Dec 8. Snowed quite heavily in the morning. Uncle and I went to Church- Aunties have colds. Turned to rain and took snow all off.

Mon Dec 9- Mild and quite muddy, Aunt Mattie and Lizzie went to Toronto.

Tues Dec 10th- Came about five inches of snow last night: very light, a few cutters and sleighs out.

Wed Dec 11th- Fine day, quiet warm, the sleighing is very good, Uncle and Mr Farr at Woodbridge, I went to Prayer Meeting in the evening.

Thurs Dec 12,, Fine and warm, Uncle at Louis Osters sale.

Fri Dec. 13,, Fine and warm, but rained in the afternoon sleighing spoiled, Uncle and Aunt Mattie up at Willies in the evening.

Sat Dec. 14,, - Rained heavily all day, commenced to freeze at night then came a little snow at night.

Sun Dec 15,, - Fine but quiet cold; I went to hear Mrs Wilkinson preach, at Pa's for dinner and S.S in afternoon, Uncle and Aunt Mattie at evening church.

Mon Dec.16,, - Fine day, moderately cold, Pa's are butchering.

Tues Dec.17,, - Fine with exception of a little snow; - we were butchering, snowed heavily all night, we went to Elia Fowel supper at night in the load.

Wed Dec.18- Fine but very cold, sleighing moderately good again. Uncle and Aunt mattie at Mrs Groyers, Nelson Smellie and Laura Echandt here in the eve.

Thus Dec.19,,- Fine but very cold, Aunt Nellie and I in Toronto. Uncle at M. Supper, I went to Prayer Meeting.

Fri Dec.20,, - Fine and cold. We went up to Mr Alf Keffers to tea, had a shooting party and Oyster supper. Ma killed her turkeys.

Sat Dec 21st- Very cold, 19 below zero this morning, I was at mary's for awhile in the afternoon, Uncle at Thornhill in the evening, Aunt Nellie not well.

Sun Dec 22- Fine day but dull, Uncle and Aunt Mattie at church. We were at home the remainder of day.

Mon Dec 23- Fine day and very mild. Uncle had a letter from Mr Farrell. Aunt Mattie and I went out to help to decorate the church; Uncle took us and came for us.

Tues Dec 24,,- Fine and quite mild. Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I out decorating church; little {Farmy?} Charlton has {Diphthoria?}

Wed Dec 25th- Christmas Day. We spent at Pa's.

Thurs Dec 26th- Fine and mild, Mrs {Miso} and Mr Keffler also N.G Smellie here for tea, sleighing very poor. Sarah Farr and Susie Gallanough called.

Fri Dec 27,,- Dull and mild, very sloppy. I went down to Mr Teasedales for tea, I was weighed, 122 Ilbs and 123 1/2 with my coat on, Uncle and Aunt M. brought Marjorie.

Sat Dec 28,, - Fine and mild; Aunt Mattie went to Toronto on noon car. uncle took me down to Johnsons, and took Marjorie down and then home.

Sun Dec 29,, - Fine with the exception of a little snow flurry in the morning, Uncle and Aunties at morning church; Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I at evening church, fine evening.

Mon Nov.30th - Fine day, a little cold. Mrs Grover dead, T.Farr called in the morning, sleighing very poor.

Tues Nov.31- Very high wind, Uncle took Auntie out to Mrs Gibsons, but owing to the death of Mrs Grover. They did not have the children, I went down to Miss Johnsons, turning very cold.
