Tuesday 17 th fine we did chores treated the sick bull & hauled Turnips sold two rams to Hales for $10 00. a Mr needham from England came today looking for work he is to start next Saturday at $10 per month.

Friday 31 st fine we did chores & I finished clipping show sheep and also dipped all that were clipped Mr Bruder came to. buy colt & Take away cow. he is {May. 24/05 Mr Bruder pd $100 00 on colt account. on right margin} to pay $.50 for cow as soon as he can June at latest and has promised to take Victoria of Elm Park next week probably Thursday. and will pay $100 when he gets money from Railway for track, through his farmand tho $50 in a year and $50 more when she has her first foal fall If he loses both ^mare & foal on Foaling he has not to pay the$50 but if one of them lives he still has to pay the fifty dollars

Friday 16 th wet we hoed some turnips mangels in morning and worked around barn rest of the day. moving straw and trimming feet of cattle and colts. went up to Toms in evening and we have partly arranged to give him five or six cows to raise calves from at 6 c 5 1/2 and 4 c per lbs. if over 900 lbs at 1 yr old they are 6 c if over 700 they are 5 1/2 if under 700 they are to be 4 c/ /c and cows where returned to be in as good condition as he got them.
