15. Aunt Rose to Murdy's this morning I was in Church today, the first time for quite a while. There was rain last night and it is cold today we have a fire in the house. The procession is going on but

18 quite cool today—was raining yesterday and monday I cut out Jimmie’s pants yesterday They are near done we churned this morning 91/4 lbs butter I have now packed over 22 lbs butter. Duncan and Jimmie are out at Majors putting up two gates

30 yesterday was nominations of Candidates for Local M.P.P.s Duncan & Farquhar went and Prentiss followed he came home alone. Mosquitoes very bad I put out tomatoes last night look like rain but it may be smoke that causes the gloomy appearance. They are watering the garden

5 The voting is going on and the contest is close. I have washed blankets today and it has stormed and rained M Master was the elected with 32 Majority To soda 10. pepper 5. 15 Mrs Vally paid $.1.00 towards rent.

6. John came last night and he went to see Dougald today and is going home at 2 oclock. Mr McClauson and Lolle McLennan called in the evening

I went to Montreal today I am very tyred. I got up at 1/2 past three and done my work took breakfast and

went to walk to Murdy's met Farquhar on the road with M's horse and buggy we got to Lancaster before Six O'clock, the cars did not come until seven, we got to Montreal half past nine I took a cab paid 25 cents for it drove to 554 Lagastaure St. After they took breakfast it was my dinner, Kati went with me out to see the {shops?} I bought at Carsely's 8 1/4 yds cloth $4.65. 6 1/2 yds cloth at 60 cts $3.90 1 pair braces 38 cts. 8 yds calic 80 4 yds linen 15 1/2 cts pr yd = 62..2 yds farmer satin 34 cts = 68. My car fare was $.2.65. I bought at the burnt boot, 6 pair of shoes 4 at 1.25, 1 at 1.00, 1 pair 75 = $.6.75
