1st Tue. New Years Day. Fine. Alex up to B.Brown {?} hay. Fred Sills in. Elizabeth & I made fried cake for the first time. Up to Mellows in Eve. Elizabeth played the piano

2nd Wed. Fine, cold. Had Lee & took {?} hay to the station

3rd Thur. Snowed a little. Alex to Millhaven.

4th Fri. Cold. Done up some sweet apples. Ethel Evelyn & Wilfred here for tea. Ethel & I soaked the boys (playing cards).

5th Sat. Snowed & blowed. Alex & Harold went to Bath, Elizabeth has a cold. I was busy all day.

6th Sun. Blustery in afternoon & Eve. Alex & Elizabeth to church in A.M. Elizabeth stayed at home for dinner. Alex & I went up in afternoon for her. J. Young here in Eve.

7th Mon. Cold. To Ethels in Eve. to a tea party. Alex took a load. Election Day.

8th Tue. Beautiful day. Alex took a load of hay to Station for Mr Keyes. Mrs Sills & Helen over Helen stayed for tea. Alex to B. Wrights in Eve. H Sills stayed with us.

January.

9th Wed. Beautiful day, mild. Alex over to Sills & got our beef. Up to Cadmans in Eve.

10th Thur. Mild. Helen Sills over. Alex to a {?} in afternoon for church.

11th Fri. Rained. Made fried cakes & made soup for supper. Harold over.

12th Sat. Beautiful. Walter down cutting wood. Elizabeth & I over to Morrows in afternoon.

13th Sun. Snowing. Alex & Elizabeth to church in afternoon. Up home jn Eve.

14th Mon. Grand. Washed. Elizabeth up home all day. Walter here in afternoon. Over to Sills in Eve.

15th Tue. Windy. Elizabeth up to Mrs Haights in afternoon with Mrs P. Young. Father & Mabel, J. Young & Harold Sills here in Eve. Played cards.

16th Wed. Rained & snowed.

17th Thur. Cold. Alex to Conway mill & Elizabeth & I went to Ethel's to Ladies Aid.

18th Fri. Fine. Alex took Elizabeth up to Mrs Mellows in afternoon so we could go to Euchre party at Bath in Eve. had fine time.

January. 1924.

19th Sat. Fine. Alex took hay to station for B. Brown. Elizabeth walked down from Mellows in afternoon. Mr Pringle came to stay all night.

20th Sun. Bright, cold. Mr Pringle walked out to Elliots early in A.M. Mr Elliot has just died. The boy brought him back for church & we all went to church & then to Ethels for dinner, we were invited

21st Mon. Snowed & blowed. Washed. Harold over. Washed dishes & done usual work. W. Ruttan in. Elizabeth invited to a party at J. Youngs but didn't go.

22nd Tue. Snowed & blowed. Elizabeth reading a book. Alex down to J. Youngs. Harold over.

23rd Wed. Cold. Put white clothes out. Alex to Bath in A.M. Up home in Eve.

24th Thur. Cold, bright. Alex up to Haights in A.M. Elizabeth over to Sills for dinner. I was busy.

25th Fri. Blustery in A.M. Alex up to Haights for seed grain. Had tea party Mr & Mrs Mellows, Uncle Ebb & Aunt Laura, Ethel, Wilfred & Evelyn

26th Sat. Very Cold.

January. 1924.

27th Sun. Very cold, bright. Alex went to Bath for teacher. Miss McIntyre. John {Spearings?} house burned last night. All to church in afternoon & over to {?} Morrows in Eve.

28th Mon. Blustery. Elizabeth started to school again this morning after a month's holidays. Alex up to B. Wright's & B. Wright down here as there was a misunderstanding & another teacher came to station from Peterborough & had to go back. Mrs Sills & Ralph over in Eve.

29th Tue. Mild. Alex & Walter drawing wood. Flora Sloan here. Mabel down. Alex & I to card party in Bath. Elizabeth went up to Mrs Mellows

30th Wed. Mild. I was very sick all day. Alex did the work. Alex up to B. Wrights in Eve. Mrs Sills stayed with Elizabeth & I.

31st Thur. Bright, cold. Alex went to mill. Alex to B. Wrights in Eve. Callers: Edith Morrow, Mrs Morrow, H Sills, J Young, Mrs Young & our people, played cards.

February

1st Fri. Fine. Washed. cleaned stovepipes. Alex drawing manure.

2nd Sat. Snowed. Ralph Sills cut Elizabeth's hair. I ironed. Edith Morrow over.

3rd Sun. Cold. Out to Uncle Ebb Fretts for dinner. they had a dinner party.

4th Mon. Snowed & blowed. Harold & J. Young here.

5th Tue. Snowed & blowed. Over to F Sills in Eve to a party. had 7 tables of cards.

6th Wed. Snowed, cleared. Mabel here in afternoon while Father went to Bath. F Sills over. Alex drawing manure.

7th Thur. Lovely. Had tea party. Wilkie & Annie Sharpe & Kathryn. Mr & Mrs F. Sills. Father & Mabel & Mary McMullen came to stay. Ed Hogeboom brought her down. Alex drawing manure.

8th Fri. Beautiful day. Miss McMullen went to {?} in hall & we were invited down to Mrs P Youngs.

9th Sat. Beautiful day. Alex drawing manure. All up to Mrs Mellows in Eve.

10th Sun. Snowed & blowed. Were going to church but it was too rough. Mary was down to J Youngs for tea.

February. 1924.

11th Mon. Grand. Alex took Miss McMullen up to {?} Mellows in afternoon. I went up home.

12th Tue. Cold. Alex sawing wood at Morrows in morning & they came here in afternoon.

13th Wed. Bright. Cold. Finished sawing in afternoon. Mabel down for dinner.

14th Thur. Fine. Alex at J. Youngs sawing wood. Mr & Mrs J Young here in Eve.

15th Fri. Fine. Alex went to mill. All down to J. Youngs in Eve to a party.

16th Sat. Bright. cold. Elizabeth slept in. Walter here putting straw in the barn. Invited to Uncle Ebbs to a reception for Bert & his bride, didn't go as I felt miserable

17th Sun. Cold. All to church in A.M. Elizabeth stayed up home for dinner & we went up for tea.

18th Mon. Grand. cold. Washed. Alex drawing manure

February. 1924

19th Tue. Cold east wind. I ironed. Ralph over. The Sills family, Margaret & us all up to Ethels in Eve.

20th Wed. Snowed hard. No mail

21st Thur. Blew, drifted. No mail

22nd Fri. Bright. Drifted some. Got some mail to-day. Had tea party. Ralph, Harold, Miss McIntyre, Leonard, Edith, Maurice & Gerald. played cards.

23rd Sat. Cold, bright. Alex, Elizabeth & I went to Bath in afternoon got our mail, as mail-man did not go. roads not very good.

24th Sun. Fine. All to church in afternoon. Father & Mabel down for tea.

25th Mon. Fine. Alex up home filling ice-house. I was up in afternoon. Ethel & Wilfred called on their way to town

26th Tue. Grand. Uncle Ebb & Aunt Laura here for dinner then they went to Ethels. Alex finished filling ice-house in afternoon. Hogebooms in on their way to Bath & called on their way here.

February.

27th Wed. Beautiful. Alex to mill. I was over to Mrs Sills. Harold over.

28th Thur. Fine. Alex putting some wood in wood-house.

29th Fri. Grand. Alex & I went to Bath.

March. 1924.

1st Sat. Fine. Alex took logs to saw mill. Elizabeth played all day.

2nd Sun. Fine. Alex & Elizabeth to church in A.M. We were up home in Eve.

3rd Mon. Beautiful. I washed 2 tablecloths. Alex room saw logs. Mrs Sills over. Ethel & Wilfred & Evelyn here in Eve.

7th Fri. Blustery, colder. Alex started to paint pantry.

8th Sat. Fine. Alex painted kitchen ceiling. Fred Sills over. Elizabeth over to Morrows.

9th Sun. Cloudy. Elizabeth has a cold. Helen was over. Harold was in. Alex & Elizabeth to church in P.M. Elizabeth stayed up home for tea & we went up for her in Eve.

10th Mon. Fine. Done a big washing.

11th Tue. Fine. Alex painting walls in kitchen. I was to Institute Meeting at J. Youngs in afternoon.

March. 1924.

12th Wed. Alex doing kitchen second coat. I was up home helping quilt. Alex came up & we were all there for tea. I took sick & came home early.

13th Thur. Fine. I was sick all day. Mary Cadman came for dinner but had to go to Morrows.

14th Fri. Fine. Mabel down in A.M. for awhile. Alex shipped pigs $7.50 per cwt {hundredweight}. Mrs Sills over.

15th Sat. Colder. Elizabeth & I did the work. Elizabeth made candy. Alex went to Conway to mill.

16th Sun. Fine. I was sick all day. Elizabeth went for Mabel near night.

17th Mon. Fine. Alex to Bath. Father down awhile. Alex & Elizabeth went to a big party at Mellows. Edith Morrow stayed with me.

18th Tue. Fine.

19th Wed. Fine. Mrs Sills over in afternoon & started my dress.

20th Thur. Fine. To church in Eve. 7.30

March

21st Fri. Fine. Alex went to Bath for wood for school. I was calling at Lucketts & Sills.

22nd Sat. Beautiful. Walter here all day sawing wood. Jean Hogeboom here all day while her people went to town they were here for tea.

23rd Sun. Fine. Elizabeth went to church in afternoon she stayed up home for tea & they brought her down in Eve.

24th Mon. Fine. Walter here & they finished the wood.

25th Tue. Fine. Washed. Had little pigs come but guess they will die.

26th Wed. Fine. Alex to Bath for wood for school.

27th Thur. Fine. Ethel & Evelyn here for diner. Alex took them home. Mr Pringle here for tea & all night. All to church in Eve.

28th Fri. Fine. Mr Pringle left after breakfast. took meat out of brine. took out side windows off.

March

29th Sat. Cold east wind. Alex up to school house sawing wood. Alex to Conway to mill. A Thunder storm in Eve. hailed & rained. We were invited to Hogebooms but didn't go.

30th Sun. Snowed & rained by times. Alex & Elizabeth went to church in A.M.

31st Mon. Fine.

April 1924.

1st Tue. Fine. Elizabeth was filling every body.

2nd Wed. Fine. Alex went to J. Belfours sale & I stayed at Mrs P Youngs.

3rd Thur. Fine. Father down helping Alex fix cowstable.

4th Fri. Grand. Alex shipped 4 pigs.

5th Sat. Fine. Alex raking door-yard. Elizabeth & I to Bath in afternoon & up to Ethel's in Eve

6th Sun. Terrible wind & raining. Home all day.

7th Mon. Fine. Washed. Charlie, Floe & Gerald came took us out to Uncle Ebbs in Eve & were here all night.

8th Tue. Fine, cold. Mothers birth-day. Floe, Charlie & Gerald left about noon. Bob & Mary Cadman here in Eve.

9th Wed. Rain in afternoon. All to town & down to see Aunt Frank in Fathers car. Aunt Frank very poorly.

10th Thur. Fine. Alex spreading manure. I was sick all day.

April.1924.

11th Fri. Fine, cool. Alex to mill. Mabel down & papered pantry.

12th Sat. Cool. Alex cleaned some of the cellar. Ethel, Wilfred & Evelyn here in Eve.

13th Sun. Fine in A.M. showery towards night. Elizabeth & Alex to church in A.M. Up to Hogebooms in afternoon.

17th Thur. Fine. To Napanee in afternoon.

18th Fri. Good Friday. Poured rain. Ethel came down & made Elizabeth a dress. Wilfred came for tea.

19th Sat. Fine. Alex finished painting kitchen. Mr Pringle came in evening to stay all night.

20th Sun. Easter Day. Cloudy. Mr a Pringle went early to church. Up home for dinner. All to church in Eve.

21st Mon. Fine in A.M. Washed. Went to Sillsville to "Play" with Mellows poured rain when we were coming home

April. 1924

22nd Tue. Cloudy. cold. Alex & Harold tore ceiling in A.M. & Alex went to Napanee in afternoon for Beaver board. I ironed Elizabeth over to Morrows.

23rd Wed. Fine. Father, Ralph & Alex putting ceiling on in front room.

24th Thur. Fine. Men finished ceiling in A.M. Alex painted it after dinner.

25th Fri. Fine. Alex went to Conway to mill.

26th Sat. Fine. Alex & Elizabeth put in some garden. Elizabeth had her hair washed. Alex washed buggy. Over to Sills in Eve.

27th Sun. Grand. All to church in A.M. Mrs Young called for us. Up the road in afternoon for a drive. Father & Mabel down in Eve.

28th Mon. Beautiful. Alex started on the land. I washed a few things. Elizabeth to school.

29th Tue. Fine. Alex on the land. I cleaned the wood-house.

April.

30th Wed. Fine. Alex sowing.

May

1st Thur. Rained. Harold came over & he & Alex fixed the ceiling in front room.

2nd Fri. Fine. Alex on the land. Arbor Day. Elizabeth took her dinner & the children went to the woods. Mrs Sills & Helen over in Eve.

3rd Sat. Cloudy, started to rain about noon. Elizabeth & I took back timothy seed but Alex had to come down it rained too hard. Alex painted ceiling last coat in front room.

4th Sun. Fine. All to church in Eve. Elizabeth went to Sunday school.

5th Mon. Fine. Alex on the land. Mr & Mrs Pringle called.

6th Tue. Rained in A.M. Mabel down & we papered front room. M Wright called in to use phone.

7th Wed. Fine. Alex on the land. J Young & Harold here in Eve.

8th Thur. Showery in afternoon. Alex finished sowing at noon. I painted border in sitting room. Father down to use phone.

May. 1924.

9th Fri. Rained. Alex planted early potatoes.

10th Sat. Fine. Alex went to Napanee for little pigs. Elizabeth & I over to Mrs Sills. Elizabeth found kittens at the farm.

11th Sun. Fine. Elizabeth to Sunday school & to church in A.M. All up home in afternoon & up to Ethels in Eve.

12th Mon. Poured rain in afternoon. Alex & I did a big washing in A.M. Harold over in afternoon.

13th Tue. Showery. Alex took me down to Mrs Youngs in afternoon to a Institute Meeting. Shook rug in Eve & put it down & settled sitting room. Mrs Morrow over.

14th Wed. Raining hard. Alex busy at different things. I worked all day, can't get the clothes dry.

15th Thur. Poured all morning, cleared. Up to Ethels in Eve for eggs.

16th Fri. Fine. Cleaning up stairs. Aunt Laura & Ella Van Syke came for dinner. Ella went home with Mrs Geo Phippen.

May.

17th Sat. Fine. Alex went to Napanee took eggs over to Mills, & got {?} Ethel & Wilfred went to town. Elizabeth & I down to J Youngs & Morrows & to Bath in Eve with our folks

18th Sun. Rained. Had fish for dinner. Up to church in Eve. Elizabeth to Sunday School. Called in home.

19th Mon. Fine, windy. Done a big washing in A.M. Mrs Sills over in afternoon.

20th Tue. Fine. Up to Ethels all day. Elizabeth went up from school. making Elizabeth a gingham dress. Harold over in Eve.

21st Wed. Fine. Father & Uncle Ceylon here to-day doing odd jobs. after they left Alex helped me with curtains at front door. Elizabeth lost one of kittens, found {?} ice in her tub this morning like a pane of glass.

22nd Thur. Fine. Joe Carroll here fixing fence.

23rd Fri. Joe here in A.M. Alex helping Father sowing in afternoon. Miss McIntyre here for tea came down with Elizabeth.

May. 1924.

24th Sat. Rained in A.M. All to Bath in afternoon. Over to Sills in evening, children had fire-crackers.

25th Sun. Fine. All to church in A.M. Elizabeth went to Sunday School. Elizabeth went out to Millings in afternoon with our people. Mrs Sills & M. Wrights called all down to J Youngs in Eve.

26th Mon. Windy. Washed. Alex on planting ground.

27th Tue. Alex on planting ground.

28th Wed. Fine. I walked up the road in afternoon & made some calls. our people down in Eve.

29th Thur. Bright. Cool. Walter here helping Alex sow a field over again. I was up to Tucketts in afternoon.

30th Fri. Fine. Alex cultivating. I was over to Morrows in afternoon. Alex put Elizabeth's peony root out to-night. she sent away for it.

31st Sat. Fine windy. Alex drawing manure. Mrs Morrow & Miss McIntyre called.

June. 1924.

1st Sun. Fine. Father, Mabel, Wilfred Ethel & Evelyn here in afternoon. all to church in Eve. Eliza etc to S. School.

2nd Mon. Fine. Washed. Alex drawing manure

3rd Tue. Fine. Alex drawing manure. Our folks down in Eve to fix oil stove. Had Joe Caroll helping.

4th Wed. Fine. Joe here in A.M. Elizabeth & I went to Bath in afternoon.

5th Thur. Fine, warmer. Cleaned kitchen floor & varnished it. Mrs Sills over. B. Wright & Francis here in Eve.

6th Fri. Rained, windy. Alex cultivating in A.M.

7th Sat. Fine. Over to Morrows in afternoon & all to Bath in Eve with our folks.

8th Sun. Fine. Elizabeth to Su day School & church in A.M. Up home in afternoon. Our folks called in Eve.

9th Mon. Beautiful. Washed in A.M. To town in afternoon for chickens had 79, our people took us & we called at Millings.

June 1924.

10th Tue. Fine. Alex to Bath & to mill. I had to keep chickens under the [?].

11th Wed. Fine. Mabel down in afternoon. Alex planting potatoes.

12th Thur. Fine. Alex planting potatoes. I went to town with Mellows. Elizabeth was at Mrs Sills for tea.

13th Fri. Fine. Alex planting corn. I was busy.

14th Sat. Fine. I was busy all morning. Elizabeth & I went to Bath in afternoon for meat. On our way home there was a thunder storm and we went in to {Homes?}. Up the road in Eve and in home.

15th Sun. Fine. Alex down to J. Young's in A.M. Geo Scott, Marion & Marie & our folks here today. Geo took us up the road for a ride before they went home.

16th Mon. Fine. Washed. Over to Mrs Sills in afternoon.

June.

17th Tue. Alex went to Bath to help unload coal boat. I was busy made a cake & went to Institute Meeting at Conway in afternoon. Elizabeth stayed at Sills after School.

18th Wed. Fine. Alex not very well. At usual work.

19th Thurs. Fine. Alex & I went to town. Got home early.

29th Fri. Fine. I was busy at usual work. Cut out green gingham dress. Alex down to J. Young's in afternoon to a manure bee.

21st Sat. Very warm. Alex busy in garden & going through potatoes. Elizabeth over to Morrows. I finished dress.

22nd Sun. Fine. To church in A.M. Elizabeth to Sunday School. & all to Conway in Eve. Fathers birth-day.

23rd Mon. Showery. Washed. At usual work. Our folks down in Eve. fixed pipe at the well.

June. 1924.

24th Tue. I ironed in A.M & went to Kingston in afternoon with our folks.

25th Wed. Fine. At usual work.

26th Thur. Alex going through corn. Alex & I went to Adolphustown to Mr. Forneri's {Canon R. S. Forneri} funeral went with our people. Elizabeth started to write on her exam to-day for fourth book. Father went to Bath in Eve for Calver to trim Prince's foot.

27th Fri. Fine. Elizabeth came in & said she passed with "honors" for fourth book. we were delighted.

28th Sat. Rained in Eve. Elizabeth over to Morrows. I was up to Tuckets for a fish.

29th Sun. Showery. Mrs Sills over in afternoon. All to church in Eve. Elizabeth to Sunday School. called in home for a minute.

30th Mon. Fine. Alex went to mill. Elizabeth to Morrows and to Sills. found pigs eating chickens.

July. 1924.

1st Tue. Grand. Alex taking & putting up hay. Elizabeth & I over to Sills.

2nd Wed. Grand. I ironed. Ex cultivating corn & potatoes. Edith Morrow over. Up the road for wheat.

3rd Thur. Fine. Busy. Walter here in after-noon helping Alex put in hay. Bob Wright & family also Ethel & Evelyn here in Eve. Geo Scott & family & Mrs Peters came for Elizabeth & I to go out for visit.

4th Fri. Out to Scotts. Alex getting in hay. Alex went to Conway to Scocial in Eve.

5th Sat. Fine. Out to Scotts.

6th Sun. Fine, warm. Father, Mabel & Alex went to Camden East for us on our way home we called at Millings & got 24 boxes of lovely straw berries. Ethel, Wilfred & Evelyn here in Eve.

7th Mon. Showery. Had 14 qts of straw berries. Alex busy at different things. Elizabeth over to Morrows. Mabel down. Up home in Eve.

8th Tue. Fine. Washed. J. Young in. Helen Sills over.

9th Wed. Fine. Mabel had a birth-day party for Elizabeth had a cake with 11 candles. Mrs. Tucket took us. Alex cutting hay.

10th Thur. Fine. Over to Mrs Sills in afternoon.

11th Fri. Fine. Aunt Bird, Ethel & Evelyn came for dinner a great surprise. Elizabeth & I went up home for tea with them.

12th Sat. Fine. Joe here in afternoon. busy all day. To Bath in Eve. Hogebooms took Alex to Bath.

13th Sun. Fine. Our folks here for dinner. Expected Millings but they didnt come was disappointed. All to church in Eve.

14th Mon. Fine. Elizabeth & I washed. Joe here all day. Elizabeth over to Morrows.

15th Tue. Fine. I made straw berry jam. & ironed. Edith Morrow took Elizabeths pictures & stayed for dinner.

July 1924.

16th Wed. Showery. Alex cut yard in Eve.

17th Thur. Showery in A.M. Over to Morrows in afternoon.

18th Fri. Fine. Alex busy in hay. Mr Sills & Helen over in afternoon.

19th Sat. Fine. Alex up home. Elizabeth & I were busy we drove back for the cows.

20th Sun. Fine. Elizabeth to Sunday School & church in A.M. Aunt Frank, Uncle John & Helen here all day. Our folks & Ethels here in afternoon. We went for a drive up the road in Eve.

21st Mon. Fine, hot. Walter & Father here drawing in from back field. Elizabeth had her feet in the bay.

22nd Tues. Fine. Walter here for dinner then men went up home.

23rd Wed. Fine, hot. Alex up home. Elizabeth & I went up to Confirmation service in afternoon 3 O'clock, two confirmed

24th Thur. Showery. Alex up home. Elizabeth & I went to Bath got home about 1 O'clock. I feel miserable.

July. 1924.

25th Fri. Alex went to mill. Uncle Ebb & Aunt Laura out all day.

26th Sat. Fine. Busy. Geo Scott Marion & Marie came to stay all night.

27th Sun. Grand. My birth-day. L went to Sand Banks got home a quarter after 9 O'clock.

28th Mon. Fine. Alex up home. Elizabeth & I washed. Edna Morrow over. Mr Pringle & his Mother called. an agent called.

29th Tue. Fine. I ironed.

30th Wed. Fine. Our people down in Eve.

31st Thur. Fine. Finished hay here. Alex up home in Eve. Mabel, Elizabeth & I went to Ethels for a call.

August. 1924.

1st Fri. Fine, cool. Alex up home finished hay up there. Done up cherries. Van Alstine left a basket in the night. $1.10 a basket.

2nd Sat. Fine. Made pie & cake. Over to Morrows in afternoon.

3rd Sun. Fine. Elizabeth to Sunday School & church.

October

30th Thur. Grand. Alex to mill. callers Lily Carroll, T. Ruttan, {?} Dick patched the barn. Having roast chicken for supper.

31st Fri. Fine. To Bath in afternoon. All over to Sills in Eve to husking bee. Elizabeth dressed up with false face & went to Morrows.

November

1st Sat. Fine. Made {?} up to Mr {?} funeral in afternoon he died Thurs

2nd Sun. Geo Scotts family & Ethels family here for dinner.

3rd Mon. Grand. Washed & picked hickory nuts.

4th Tue. Fine. Cleaned pantry cup board & ironed. callers: Father, Mabel & J. Young.

5th Wed. Fine. Alex sorting potatoes.

6th Beautiful like summer. Alex sorting potatoes. Mabel down. My Mother died 22 years ago this A.M.

11th Tue. Fine, windy. Ethel & Wilfred called on their way to {?} wedding.

12th Wed. Rained,cleared. Put up front room stove. Alex ploughing behind the barn. Edith & Wilfred called on their way from the wedding.

13th Thur. Beautiful. Washed & ironed some. Elizabeth came home at noon as teacher is sick.

14th Fri. Fine. Elizabeth home teacher sick. I made pumpkin pies. T. Gurren here he said Mrs Asselstine had died.

15th Sat. Fine. Alex ploughing, Elizabeth & I went to Bath. Elizabeth got her hair cut.

16th Sun. Rained, snowed, hailed windy. Went to Mrs Asselstines funeral at Bertha Sills. funeral at 1.30 O'clock

17th Mon. Cold. Alex drew in wood. Elizabeth home teacher sick.

18th Tue. Cold but grand. We all went to Kingston Father took us. Went to have Elizabeths eyes tested she has glasses.

19th Wed. Warmer. Alex went with Father to get his young cattle.

November.

20th Thur. Fine. Alex to mill. I was busy.

21st Fri. Fine. Margaret Wright here all day. Ralph Sills here for tea.

22nd Sat. Rained in A.M. All to Ethels for tea. Had Roast heart.

23rd Sun. To church in A.M. & up to Mellows in afternoon for a call. Miss Curtis is sick & no school.

24th Mon. Blustery. Alex up home picking chickens. Elizabeth & I to Bath in afternoon.

25th Tue. Windy. Picked chickens. when they finished Mrs Hill helped me wash.

26th Wed. Fine. Alex & Father took chickens to town got 27¢ for chickens 20¢ for fowl. ours brought $75.¢48. Elizabeth & I down to J. Youngs in afternoon.

27th Thur. windy, stormed. Polly sick had Dr Smith out for her. Harold over.

28th Fri. Fine. Alex ploughing. Lolly better. busy most of the day.

29th Sat. Fine. Mr Roblin put up separator. Alex ploughed in A.M. Had tea party Uncle Ebbs, Mellows, Charlie Ackermans, Ethels family played cards

6th Sat. Fine. Elizabeth & I were up to Church Hall in afternoon & down to J. Youngs in Eve. Ethel & Wilfred here after we had gone.

7th Sun. Grand. Sniders here in afternoon after-noon, up to Hogebooms for tea.

8th Mon. Rained. Alex went for children.

9th Tue. Fine. Alex ploughing.

10th Wed. Fine. Washed. Alex up to. Towns in afternoon.

11th Thur. Fine. cold. Alex & I to town to do Xmas shopping.

12th Fri. Snowed. I was very sick all day. Mrs Sills over. Mabel in a minute.

13th Sat. Rained some. Alex to mill. Elizabeth to practice at the hall in A.M. I am miserable.

14th Sun. Very cold. Wilfred down in A.M. Evelyn came and stayed all day. All to church in afternoon then we took Evelyn home.

15th Mon. Cold. I made mince-meat, killed pigs up home.

16th Tue. Very cold. Frying out fat. Alex drew a load of wood for Dick Whitfield. Mrs Hogeboom in.

17th Wed. Fine. Made sausage & head cheese. Harold over.

18th Thur. Sleet storm. Alex to Bath. Mr Pringle in & left his house. All up to Conway Xmas Tree.

19th Fri. Stormy by times. Mr Pringle here for dinner. Alex to station with pigs. Ethel & Evelyn here, we went to concert at school-house. I came home & made pies.

20th Sat. Very cold. Alex banked the house. Made {?} for meat. Harold brought Elizabeth a Xmas Tree. Elizabeth to practice in afternoon.

December.

21st Sun. Very cold. To church in A.M. Elizabeth & I walked up home in afternoon

22nd Mon. Done a big washing. J. Young helping Alex get in corn. Alex & Elizabeth to concert at lower school they went in a load. I stayed at Mrs Sills.

23rd Tue. Elizabeth to practice in after-noon at hall, our Xmas tree in Eve.

24th Wed. Snowed in A.M. We went to Bath in afternoon & up to Evelyn Xmas tree in Evening. Alex was Santa.

25th Thur. Drifted all day. Fred Sills in. All up home all day. had turkey & goose. Fletchers could hardly get through in their car.

26th Fri. Snowed & blowed, a blizzard.

27th Sat. Blustery. Evelyn here while Ethel went to Bath. Up to Mellows in Eve to hear the Radio.

28th Sun. Cold. All to church in afternoon

29th Mon. Snowed. Alex & Elizabeth went up for Ethel & Evelyn. Wilfred was to town.
