Sun July 23 1882 clear and hot
Mon July 24th clear and hot the oys were drawing in hay. I was helping mow away & hoeing corn
Tue July 25th clear and very hot in the Morning and Evening we were cutting the wheat East of the house
Wed July 26th clear and very hot finished the cutting wheat to day
Thu July 27th clear and very hot. Duncan & I was over the river mowing the grass Some of it very heavey.
Fri Jul 28th cloudy fore part of the day clear and hot part of the after noon was mowing over the river

Mon Jul 31st cloudy rain this Evening John and Duncan drawing in wheat untill the rain came. I was mowing the fence corners of the back wheat field this fore noon after noon I & Walter was rakeing and cocking over the river

Mon Aug 7th thunder clouds a good part of the day and very hot. we ware unbinding the Sheaves of wheat East of the house. they ware very much grown and wet, drew them in this after noon

Thu Aug 10th cloudy and cool. the boys finished drawing in wheat this fore noon. after noon John commenced to plow. Duncan and I was cutting oats I find them down very bad have to mow most of them.

Thu Feb 15th cloudy and Soft, we wear drawing tile from Florence
Fri Feb 16th a foggy rainy day, not doing much to day

Mon Feb 19th cloudy and cool. I went to Florence this fore noon with Charles McIntosh and received the intrest on the money fore the land I Sold him after noon was chopping wood. John wen went th to Thamesville with the girls
Tue Feb 20th cloudy and cold. Snow in the fore noon, the fore part of the day I was chopping wood. John was drawing in the after noon noon I went to Dresden for the chop feed
Wed Feb 21st clear and pleasant John was drawing blocks for fence this forenoon after noon we was cleaning up wheat
Thu Feb 22ond cloudy and Snow this fore noon we was Sawing Some Stove wood
Fri Feb 23rd cloudy clear and warm the latter part of the day. John and I went to Thamesville with a load of wheat Sold it to T. Syers for one dollar per bushel
Sat Feb 24th cloudy after noon rain and Sleet we ware Shelling corn and putting up a load to get ground. John got it chopt this after noon

Mon Feb 26th cloudy wind from the North West and quite cold. we was Sawing Stove part of the day
Tue Feb 27th cloudy after noon Snow the fore part of the day John and I was Sawing and Splitting Stove wood. after noon I went up to the School house and voted for Member for the local house
Wed Feb 28th clear and moderate the roads getting pretty bare. John and I was over the river cutting Some Small oak timber for fence posts.
Thu March 1st clear and warm. the wind and Sun has cut away the Snow and ice very fast to day. I was helping Phillip Switzer Score timber for John W. Snareys drive barn John was drawing Tile fr from Florence we Saw blew blue birds the first this season
Fri March 2ond clear fore part of the day latter part cloudy cool. I was helping Switzer again with the timber
Sat Mar 3rd cloudy and cool. they boys and I was Sawing and Splitting Stove wood at the house part of the day.

Tue Mar 6th Snow the fore part of the day quite Soft the latter part we ware Shelling corn and putting up a load to get chopt this fore noon. after noon was drawing wood from over the river
Wed Mar 7th clear part of the day and cool, we ware drawing wood from over the river, the road getting quite b bear of Snow again
Thu Mar 8th clear part of the day, we was drawing wood from over the river
Fri Mar 9th cloudy and moderate putting up a load of grain to get chopt in the after noon, John took it to Florence. Anne Sick Sent for the Dr this evening
Sat Mar 10th Snow Squalls most of the day. Anne Some better. John went for the chop feed this after noon. I was chopping Some wood by the house. Desmond came for the calf I sold him
Sun Mar 11th cloudy and cool
Mon Mar 12th cloud and cold. we ware drawing up wood and putting in the wood Shead. the ground and river froze Solid yet. John Greenwood was geting ice Ice out to day, the first Lamb for this season

Tue Mar 13th clear and warm, we was drawing hay from over the river. the roads geting quite soft towards Evening.
Wed Mar 14th clear prety high wind from the West the frost and Snow going fast. this fore noon drew the last of the hay from over the river. After noon was Scraping up manure about the barn yard.
Thu Mar 15th cloudy and cold. we ware hauling manure to day
Fri Mar 16th clear part of the day and cool we wear hauling out manure again to day
Sat Mar 17th clear part of the day moderate this after noon. cloudy and looks like rain this Evening, we was getting out manure again.
Sun Mar 18th moderate in the morning. the latter part of the day cold blustring and Snow.
Mon Mar 19th a blustring Snowing Stormy day. Snowed all last night and most of the day to day. about ten inches of Snow fell the last thirty hours, not doing much but look after Ewes and lambs Six or Seven Ewes had lambs and one Ewe died Since the Storm commenced menced quite cold to night, a dull looking Sight for the blue birds and robins

Wed Mar 21st clear and pleasant a very Sharp morning. we was cleaning up timothy Sea Seed part of the time to day.
Thu Mar 22ond clear most of the day, and pleasant after 9 AM. very cold in the morning the themomiter has been blow Zero the last three mornings. we was Shelling corn and fixing up a load of chop for mill and Sawing some wood at the house to day.
Fri Mar 23rd a rough blustring Snowing day. I was thrashing out oats. John went to Florence mill with some grain and got chopt for the cat cattle
Sat Mar 24th clear and warm in the midle of the day pretty Sharp this morning. I was thrashing out oats the boys was drawing wood
Sun Mar 25th clear and moderate
Mon Mar 26th cloudy and Soft. Sharp in the morning the boys was drawing wood. I was was thrashing out oats
Tue Mar 27th clear part of the day and cool. I was thrashing out oats. John was chopping Stove wood

Thu Mar 29th clear and pleasant. I was tapping a fiew trees and trimming the grape vines and Some of the apple trees
Fri Mar 30th cloudy part of the day and cool part of the fore noon helping John W. Snarey try to get a Sow and pigs over the river on the ice but cold not make it work. Mahlon Gibson had to get his oxen and draw theem over o on the Sleigh. after noon we was Sawing and Splitting Stove wood
Sat Mar 31st clear most of the day wind from the East and cold. the boys and I chopp Sawing and Splitting Stove wood at the house
Sun Apr 1st cloudy and cold wind from the East
Mon Apr 2ond clear and cool. I was Sowing grass Seed this fore noon. After noon John & I finished cututing cutting the Stove wood at the house
Tue Apr 3rd clear most part of the day and pleasant. this fore noon went up to Florence and paid the Dr for attending Anne, paid Joseph Shepley and for makeing Johns and mending Walters boots paid John Young for tile
Wed Apr 4th cloudy and Soft looked like rain but none came came I was Scraping up manure
