Croton June 1883 Thu Jun 14th clear and hot Jane Slaggs and I finished the board fence on the sides of the lane, John was plowing the little north east of the farm.

Fri Jun 15 clear and warm, the fore noon Janes Slaggs s I was hanging two galtes after noon I planted the little field with corn John {illegible} Slaggs drawing rails out of the lane and fiocing in fence, {Settlee?} with and paid Slaggs in {fuee}

Sat Jun 16th {illegible} ford part of the day ha! a {hearty?} thunder shower this Evening I went over the river and gave the {eligible} earth some salt this ford noon. I and the boys were cleaning the old rails out of the lane the rest of the day.

Sun Jun 17th cloudy and sultry very hot rain in the Evening

Mon Jun 18th cloudy thunder showers {throug?} the day the ground very wet, not doing {illegible} much cutting in a fiew thistles.

Tue Jun 19th cloudy thretened rain but noon came very high wind in the Evening was helping John.W.Snarey lay the foundation of his drive barn this fore noon after noon took the fat sheep to the brige bridge I sold to {Bolcord?}

Wed Jun 20 th cloudy and cool. I was over the river into Helsons Hills helping to load saw dust for the road John drawing dust for the road

Thu Jun 21th clear part of the day and warm was mowing down weed in the fore noon after noon pileing manure, John drawing sawdust for the road

Fri Jun 22 clear and hot, digging a ditch on the side of the lane, John corn meneed cultivating corn

Sar Jun 23th clear part of the day and hot I and Walter Hoeing corn, John cultivating

Sun Jun 24th cloudy part of the day & hot

Mon Jun 25th cloudy was working at the corn

Tue Jun 26 th cloudy went to Florence that fore noon. after noon the boys and g was hoeing corn

Wed Jun 27th cloudy very heavey rain this evening, ditches and creeks full of water working at the corn until the rain came Albert Keteeson helping this fore noon

Thu Jun 28th cloudy most of the day, clean and hot this evening. heavey rain last {illegible} night the ground {dreast fat} wet, went over the river and saltef the young cattle this fore noon after noon ruling shrouts of pattal

Fri Jun 29th clear and hot the boys and g. was hoeing must of the day. the ground wery wet walter in the law places from Sioc to ten inces deep could {owny} hoe on the high sand knowls

Sat Jun 30th clear and cool a pleasant day the boys and g was hoeing this for noon after noon the boys away playing ball Anne and G and G went to {Thamescills}

Sun July 1 st clear part of the day & pleasant attended cass meeting Sab-bath sehool and preaching

Mon July 2 nd cloudy and thunder in the fore cultivating and hoeing corn

Tue Jul 3 rd thunder clouds and very hot was hoeing corn this fore noon after noon draw-ing out manure

Wed Jul 4 th cloudy and thunder showers in the util the wend wind and rain came very high wind for a {fiew muinites}

Thu July 5 th cloudy and thunder fore pan of the day, and very hot for part of the day repairing harness, latter part drawing manicure

Fri Jul 6th clear most of the day and hot The boys and g was drawing manure

Sat Jul 7th clear in the fore noon and hot after noon heavey rain. Anne and I went to Dresdew and goteaught in the rain the boys and g was drawng manure in the fore part of the day

Sun Jul 8 th quite cool

Mon Jul 9th clear and cool, a very pleasant day, John was mowing clover with the {mach-iem} was cultivating corn part of the day part of the day hoeing Eleas Hutehe son corn men-eed work today he was mowing fence corners part og yhe day, and part of the time cultivating

Tue Jul 10th clear and warm. we was hoeing corn part of the fore noon. after noon working at the hay John fenished cutting one of fillds of clover than fore noon

Wed Jul 11 th clear and hot we wear working at the hay too day

Thu Jul 12th flying clouds but no rain until about half part four P N when we had a fine shower was drawing in hay until the rain came

Fri Jul 13th cloudy fore part of the day, clear latter part and cool we ware cultivating and choeing coren, and mowing grass in the after noon

Wed Jul 18th flying clouds light showers this evening drawing in hay in the fore noon after noon John commeneed mowing the limothy hay Elias and Walter rakecing hay I was cocking at up until the rain came

Thu Jul 19th clear and cool a fine day for hay makeing I was hoeing corn this fore noon after noon cocking hay John finished mowing this evening Elias & Walter {rakeig}

Fri Jul 20th clear fore part of the day cloudy in the evening mist of rain finished the clover hay

Sat Jul 21st cloudy fore part of the day heavey rain last night shook out and cocked up a little hay I this evening

Sun Jul 22 ond cloudy and hot rain this evening

Mon Jul 23rd cloudy wet most of the day heavey rain last night commeneed cutting wheat

Tue Jul 24th cloudy and wet fore part of the day was shooting real squirrels in fore noon after ther noon cutting a little wheat the groun very wet

Wed Jul 25th clear, cutting same wheat in the morning the rest of the day working at the hay, it is hurt bad with the wet

Thu Jul 27th clear, working at the hay, today

Fri Jul 28th clear part of the day and hot no rain, finished cutting the wheat field west of the house,

Sun Jul 30th clear and cool

Mon Jul 31st clear and cool, a pleasant day for work, was cutting wheat, Anne and Walter went to Dresden this after noon with a grist and to get some {grareen}

Tue Jul 31 clear and cool, was working at the wheat John Greenwood & James Gebssn helping us, broke the machine this after noon

Wed Aug 1st clear and hot working at the John Greenwood binding this after noon John commaneed reaping the barley

Fri Aug 3rd cloudy and part of the day and a shower in the after noon, quite cool John finished reaping Barley Elias and I was mewing fence {clriners}

Sat Aug 4th clear part of the day and cool mowing fence corners in the fore noon, in the after noon drawing in barley

Sun aug 5th clear and cool quarterly meeting at croton churels

Mon aug 6 clear and pleasant the boys working at the barley I attended the quarter-ley board at Florence

Tue Aug 7th clear and pleant, I was helping John W.Snarey thrash the boys finished drawing in the Barley

Wed aug 8th clear and pleasant we wear drawing and staching wheat John H Snary Chester and tearn helping us

Thu aug 9th clear and pleasant John and I, draweing in wheat and Stacking it Elias mowing fence corners.
