2nd Fri. Bright, very cold. Father + Horace went for Elizabeth & Mary, then they went on to Bath took Elizabeth to meet folks from the Island, as she went over to spend the weekend & take in the dance.

3rd Sat. Very cold. Father went to town with Wilfred. Tom & Leah here in afternoon. I went over to Jims for a puzzle.

4th Sun. Snowed some, cleared, very cold. Elizabeth came about 4 O'clock.

In eve Elizabeth went to Bath to a dance.

11th Sun. Stormy. Elizabeth went in a.m. with Franks when they went to Adolphustown roads got bad in afternoon. Mabel to church.

1st Thurs. Fine. Bright. Ralph Sills came down for me in a.m. I was up all day walked home in Eve when they came to church.I talked to Elizabeth at {Mrs. Chapman's?}. Mabel up to church in Eve.

2nd Fri. Fine warmer like Spring, rained near night. Elizabeth walked down to Mary's school & came with her. Mary had a horse & cutter, she got home 5.30.

3rd Sat. Mild. Elizabeth here. {T. Gueren?} called.

4th Sun. Very mild. water running every where. Elizabeth & folks to church in A.M. In afternoon Elizabeth & Father went to {Dorland?} with horse & cutter.

31st Sat. Fine. rained in Eve. Father took Elizabeth & I to town Elizabeth got her Easter hat. Elizabeth has nasty cold. Elizabeth & I saw first robin this year on a post. End of Month.

1st Sun. Easter Day. Cloudy. Elizabeth Father & I wewnt to Kingston, down to Minnies for dinner, & got Mabel home about 6 O'clock.

2nd Mon. Clearing. Elizabeth to Bath in Eve to a dance Mabel got 200 chicks.

3rd Tue. Rained in Eve. The Watts family up in Eve to play cards. they left about 12 O'clock for home.

4th Wed. Fine. Elizabeth walked up to sils & Wrights for the day. B.Wrights brought her home in Eve she was sick up there Ackermans here in Eve they played 500.

5th Sat. Terrible wind. Elizabeth forgot her little trees at Smiths, so she got on Frank Hains milk truck & went up for them. she & Mabel planted them she had 20.

6th Sun. Fine. Elizabeth & our folks to church in A.M. Ethel & family here in afternoon. Miss Perry came in afternoon. In Eve the girls & Mabel went to Bath church. F. Gurrens & family here in Eve.

7th Mon. Windy. Miss Perry took Elizabeth in early A.M. to Dorland Miss Perry left about 10 O'clock.

11th Fri. Real cool. Mary C. brought Elizabeth & Mrs Smith. Mrs Smith came for Play, but there was no Play just Dance the girls went up with Edna & Kenneth.

12th Sat. Real cool. Father not in the {land?} as he is not well. I went to Napanee in Eve with Ackermans. Elizabeth has a sore throat.

13th Sun. Cloudy. Real cool. Ethel & family here in afternoon. Elizabeth & Mabel went to church in Eve, this is Mother's day.

24th Thur. Fine, cool. Miss Guest left about 11.30. Father & I went for Elizabeth about 5 O'clock as she taught today 24th May.

25th Fri. Grand. Ethel's took Elizabeth & I to Kingston, had a good day got home about 6 O'clock. Ethel, Elizabeth & I got white hats. Elizabeth played ball in the {Cimmins?} in Eve.

6th Fri. Fine, very warm. Elizabeth got W. Ruttan to take her & Mabel to P.E. to see about a school they got back about 5 O'clock. Elizabeth up to the hall in Eve. Horace & Mary called to see Father as he hurt his back. Mr & Mrs Phippin called.

12th Sun. Fine. Elizabeth & our folks to church in A.M. In afternoon our folks went to Kate Sills funeral it waws at the church. Betty Todd here in afternoon. Elizabeth down to Morrows for tea she went to Belleville in Eve with them. Aunt Emma & family called here.

24th Fri. Fine. Neilson Roddick here in A.M. Elizabeth had the Cousin girls come down with the mail - man in A.M. Madeline Young came up with the mail-man in afternoon. Girls all to the hall in Eve.

25th Sat. Fine. Girls all here. Busy.

26th Sun. Fine, cool. Evelyn here all day, all the girls went to church in A.M. Mr. Cousins came in Eve for the girls. Ethels here in Eve. The Watts family here for tea had 11 for tea.

27th Mon. Fine, cool. Our folks took Madeline to Bath in A.M. Elizabeth & I straightened up the house.

28th Tues. Fine. Elizabeth & I washed. Our folks went to Kingston. Father got an impression.

29th Wed. Fine. T. Gurrins here in Eve.

30th Thurs. Fine. Elizabeth started with tomatoes at Mellows. Our folks went to Kingston for his teeth. Mr & Mrs Smith here in Eve, played cards. Madeline brought her things up in Eve. Mr Cousins left kitten.

31st Fri. Perfect day. Elizabeth made cookies. Mabel busy, Evelyn came in afternoon to go to the Dance in the hall, she & Elizabeth went up with Morrows. Uncle Morley & Aunt {Bird?} called in their way to Ethels.

September: 1934.

1st Sat. Windy. Aunt {Bird?} & Uncle Morley here for dinner. Fletchers sale was this afternoon. Jean Anderson came in the night with Tom Gurrins.

2nd Sun. Cool, cloudy in A.M. Elizabeth & Jean stuffed peppers for dinner. They all went to church in Eve Elizabeth taught Helens Sunday School class.

3rd Mon. Perfect, warmer. Started to cut corn. Busy. Elizabeth & Jean went to Kingston with Kenneth Morrow to a Show.

4th Tue. Fine. Men here fixing corn binder. Elizabeth & Jean up to Mrs Browns for the day dinner & tea. Father went to town for Ethel as Evelyn started to school. I went up to stay all night as Wilfred is away.

5th Wed. Fine. Elizabeth & Kenneth took Jean home in Eve. I am still at Ackermans.

September 1934.

6th Thur. Fine. Elizabeth at Mellow all day. I started from Ethels after tea called at Margarets & they brought me home.

7th Fri. Cloudy & cool. Getting ready for silo men. Mabel made pudding.

8th Sat. Rained. Men had to go home. we changed things around up stairs & got ready for Miss Rikely. I took first bed-room. Ethel & children here in Eve while Wilfred went to town. Elizabeth at Mellows in afternoon.

9th Sun. Partly cloudy. Elizabeth & our folks to church in A.M. Elizabeth & I walked up to Margarets after dinner just got there when we heard Margaret Sills had passed away in Kingston hospital result of an accident. Geo Scotts came so Mabel went up for us. Kenneth Morrow called in Eve.

10th Mon. Grand. Men filling silo. Miss Rikely came in A.M.

11th Tue. Fine. Did a big washing. Elizabeth was at Mellows. Mabel down to Mrs Youngs to Institute. I went up to stay with Ethel all night as Wilfred was away.

12fth Wed. Fine. I came down in A.M. Picking checkens here. Elizabeth made a pudding.

13th Thur. Poured rain. Our folks took their chickens to Kingston they were home at noon. Elizabeth up to Mellows. In Eve, Kenneth called for Elizabeth & Miildred & took them down to Keyes to the chiveree. Ethels here in Eve.

14th Fri. Warmer. Busy. Men sowing wheat. Elizabeth went up to spend the day with Helen as her Father is so poorly. Elizabeth was at the hall in Eve gave Neilson a gift.

15th Sat. Fine. Curring corn at Wilfreds. Elizabeths kitten had a fit and Arthur Whitfield took it away. Mabel did Elizabeth's yellow skirt.

16th Sun. Poured rain. Girls went to church in Eve with Morrows.

17th Mon. Fine. Washed. Elizabeth up to Mellows. I went up to Ethels in afternoon to stay all night as Wilfred is away.

18th Tue. Fine. Our folks had a horse die last night.

19th Wed. Fine. Elizabeth & Mildred walked up to Ethels in Eve. I was glad to see them it was a grand night.

3rd Wed. Fine. Our folks went to Millhaven & met their new horse as they got it in the Island.

4th Thur. Fine. Margie Wright came down for Elizabeth she was up there for dinner in the afternoon they went selling Tickets on Table cloth. I was up to Mrs. Carrolls in afternoon. Mable down to Thurstons.

In evening Betsy Jane, Maybelline and Hold him (Honey, won't you hold him) went to hear the Walker man say what he had to say. Best wishes to all and Good night. Here endeth the second lesson. 29th. Mon. Blustery. Made pumpkin pies for Dance in the hall. Kenneth took Elizabeth Mildred & Clara Brown. they had a good time.

30th. Tue. Cold. Margaut sent for me. I was up all day made quilt for W.A. they brought me home in Eve. Helen came too to phone to Dv.

31st. Wed. Windy. cold. Girls [cleaned] in afternoon & went over to school. In Eve we 4 women went to town with Wilfreds as it was Halloweeen. a terrible crowd. got home about 12 O'clock.

1st. Thur. Real cold. They are cleaning her house.

2nd. Fri. Fine. Mrs Wright & Margie here in afternoon also Mr. [Quartuman]. Elizabeth up to Wrights for tea Margie came down with her to stay all night. [Q him] brought Uncle Ceylon up in Eve.

3rd. Sat. Milder. Elizabeth went up in milk truck to Smiths. Margie went home. Hubert came in Eve for Uncle Ceylon.

4th. Sun. Rained. No church as Mr. [Quartuman] is sick. Looked for Elizabeth but she didn't come.

5th. Mon. Milder. Did pig washing, Father to town with pigs. Mabel & I walked up to see how Fred Sills is in afternoon. Mr & Mrs Smith brought Elizabeth home in Eve. Played 500.

6th. Tue. Mild. 32 years ago to-day my mother died. They finished ploughing to-day. Elizabeth [wined]. Elizabeth & Mildred for a walk in Eve.

7th. Wed. Showery. Cleaned outside windows. All up to Conway in Eve to a Bean Supper home at 9 O'clock.

8th. Thur. Snowed in the night. They put stove up in dining-room. We played cards in Eve.

27th. Tue. Windy. Margie brought the girls down this morning. Our folks to Kingston all day getting car fixed.

30th Fri. Rained. I came home at noon with Wilfred. Elizabeth went to town with Wilfred. Elizabeth Mabel & up to Euchre at hall in Eve, had 12 tables. Mabel got a prize.

23rd. Sun. Snowed some & windy. saw a cutter in the road. I was up Mrs. Carrols in A.M. Elizabeth to church in afternoon.

24th. Mon. Fine. All busy, getting birds ready for X-mas, Mabel made ice-cream, Elizabeth set the table. Leonard Mellow here in Eve we played 500.

26th. Tue. Christmas day. Cloudy. Slight trace of sunshine. Elizabeth & our folks to early service at 8 O'clock. Ethel 6 family & the Watts here all day. had a good day. played games.

27th. Wed. Snowed hard all day & a terrible wind. Elizabeth made Mabel a dins] for old time party in the hall.
