1st Mon New Years Day. Cold snow flurries. Played cards. Elizabeth getting ready for school

2nd Tues Bright, cold. In afernoon Frank took Elizabeth to her school & I went up to Ethels & stayed until he came back

3rd Wed Cold. I was over to Jim Carrolls in afternoon. Ethel & family here in Eve. Played cards

4th Thurs Cold east wind. Our folks went to Bath in afternoon

5th Fri Rained. I was up to Mrs Carrolls in afternoon

6th Sat Cloudy. Roads very icey. Ernest Young in a few minutes

7th Sun Fine icey. Elizabeth not home this week. I went up to Ethels for dinner. I went up with Vaughan. The Watts family here for tea

8th Mon Fine. Washed. In afernoon Mabel & I walked up to Margarets

9th Tues Fine. Mabel went down to Mrs Youngs W I Institute

January 1934

10th Wed Very dark. Mabel walked back to Pykes

11th Thur Dark day. Mabel walked up to Ethels for the day, they brought her down in Eve

12th Fri Fine. I went to town with Ethel. Father & Horace went for Elizabeth & Mary. Roads fairly good

13th Sat Snowed. Had wood saw men for dinner. I had sick headache & sick stomach I went to bed at noon. Edna Morrow here for tea. Kenneth came for her in Eve. Elizabeth busy with books

14th Sun Colder. Elizabeth & our folks went to church in afternoon. Elizabeth & Mabel up to Claringbolds in Eve

15th Mon Fine. Father took Elizabeth in early a.m. Horace & Mary went also

16th Tues Cold wind. Mabel & Mrs Hanna down to B Morrows to ?

17th Wed Very cold. Mabel & I up to Mrs Carrolls to W A meeting

January 1934

18th Thurs Very cold. Ethel here all day making her quilt. Wilfred & children here for tea. Mabel went to vesting meeting in Eve

19th Fri Blustery. He didn't go for Elizabeth he thought roads were too bad. Ethel here finished her quilt in afternoon. Horace & Mary here in Eve

20th Sat Very cold. Folks to Bath in afternoon. I was over to Jim's

21st Sun Cold east wind. Mabel went to church in a.m. Elizabeth & the Smiths were there & came on down & spent the day. Did jigsaw puzzles

22nd Mon Rained in afternoon. Got tickets ready to draw for the blanket

23rd Tues Cold. Cleaned stove pipes, a man in & fixed my machine. Mabel went to the hall & had machine fixed

24th Wed FIne. Ethel & children here for tea. Up to the hall in Eve getting ready for ?

July 1934

23rd Mon. fair. Alice Irwin washed. I ironed. Mabel & I rode all eve for pleasure. Fed at Mayers. Mabel here in afternoon.

24th Tues. fair. Eliz. & Mabel & I rode all Eve for pleasure.

25th Wed. fair, very warm. Elizabeth & I were in Sayreton. Eliz. to have a bath in Eve. Mabel & I had dinner at Civil’s. Eliz. had a place planned where we did not go there today.

26th Thurs. fair. Elizabeth at Myrlene’s all day. Played ball in Eve. We went to the show. Mabel went to show.

27th Fri. fair. My birth day. Elizabeth at Myrlene’s all day. Edna here this. Elizabeth & I rode and it was warm. Cooler now.

28th Sat. fair, very warm. Went Caples here. Elizabeth at Myrlene’s she came home. Mabel & I to show in Eve. Had a fair night.

July 1934

29th Sun. fair & cool. The folks took Uncle Caples down to Muncie. Elizabeth went to church in A.M. Mabel here in afternoon.

30th Mon. fair. Elizabeth at Myrlene’s. Washed.

31st Tues. fair. Very dry. We ironed. Mabel’s birth day.

August 1934

1st Wed. fair & warm.

2nd Thurs. fair. Had Norman & Beulah & family for dinner. Mabel & I had fried chicken. Elizabeth at Myrlene’s, rode to Fairview at night.

3rd Fri. fair & warm. Elizabeth ironed after we had all cleaned up.

4th Sat. fair & cool. Elizabeth went up to Bath in Eve. I did some baking. Elizabeth making cakes.

5th Sun. fair & cool. Played ball with the folks. Elizabeth to Myrlene’s in Eve.

6th Mon. fair & warm. Elizabeth went to Bath to visit Mrs. Brown. I ironed & done work. Mrs. Barker here.

7th Tues. fair & warm. I take ride to town. We washed. Had a hard rain. The washing made a mess in Eve.

8th Wed. fair. Busy & washing looks the same.

August 1934

9th Thurs. fair. Mabel & I left after dinner. Eliz. had a ball game in Eve, we all went.

10th Fri. fair & warm. folks came over for supper. John Law.

11th Sat. fair & hot. Catherine & Eda visited here A.M. Mabel & I to T. Farmers Fair in Sayre. Bath in P.M. Elizabeth went to Fairview.

12th Sun. fair & hot. Alice came for the night. We all home.

13th Mon. fair & hot. I sent photos to Frances H. & Mabel & Eliz. ironed & washed. Ella Freeman here from the church. Bathers in Eve. Elizabeth returned to Myrlene’s in Eve.

14th Tues. fair & hot. Alice left in Eve to B. Beulah’s in P.M.

15th Wed. fair & hot. Eve. Washed. Elizabeth wrote letters.

August 1934

15th Wed. fair. Pickled & churned.

16th Thurs. fair. Elizabeth & the folks took their children to the fair. All out to Cameron to ball game in Eve.

17th Fri. fair. I went up to Eda’s & spent the day. They brought me home. Elizabeth to Bath. Catherine went to play ball.

18th Sat. fair. Elizabeth home working. Verda & Elizabeth went to town in Eve with Eda.

19th Sun. fair & warm. Thunder shower in Eve. Elizabeth & new folks too. Folks here.

20th Mon. fair & cooler. I went to K. Mrs. I was at Eda’s for dinner. Elizabeth washed & ironed. Rodella here in afternoon.

21st Tues. fair. Mabel & Mildred to L. for two wks. We had a ball in Eve. Elizabeth & Mabel & I to Bessie’s birth. We came home tomorrow.

August 1934

24th Fri. fair & cool. Mabel & Reddick here in A.M. Elizabeth had the car in oil, got her driver’s. The girls were in A.M. Madeline Young came home with them. Madeline & I went after milk to the hill in Eve.

25th Sat. fair & cool. All here. Busy.

26th Sun. fair & cool. Elizabeth washed all day. All the girls went to church in A.M. Mrs. Oswald came in Eve for the girls & all here in Eve. We got things ready for the hall. Had 11 for tea.

27th Mon. fair & cool. I & folks took Madeline to Bath in A.M. Elizabeth & I straightened up the house.

28th Tues. fair. Elizabeth & I washed. Our folks went to Kingston Yacht at Margaret’s. Terrible hot.

29th Wed. fair & nice. Frances here in Eve.

30th Thurs. fair. Elizabeth studied with Trivial in A.M. & all worked. Our folks went to Hoover’s.

September 1934

30th Sun. cloudy & cold. Elizabeth & our folks to church in Eve.

November 1934

30th Fri. Rain. I came home at noon with Wilford. Elizabeth went to town with Wilford. Elizabeth ironed & I baked. Elizabeth at hall in Eve. Had a table. Mabel got a prize.
