December 1934

[continued from last page] from Mellows for canning Tom & Lea here in Eve. I had a bad head.

21st. Fri. Snowing. Mildred went home in A.M. as she closed school yesterday. Elizabeth washing her hair. Mabel making candy. Mabel & I walked up to X-mas [tue] not snowy out.

22nd. Sat. Cold. Mabel got turkey & duck ready. ELizabeth & I made candy. Elizabeth went down the road calling6 Mabel went up to Mrs Carrolls. Elizabeth decorated the dining room.

23rd. Sun. Snowed some & windy. saw a cutter in the road. I was up Mrs. Carrols in A.M. Elizabeth to church in afternoon.

24th. Mon. Fine. All busy, getting birds ready for X-mas, Mabel made ice-cream, Elizabeth set the table. Leonard Mellow here in Eve we played 500.
