9 Friday. Sultry. Thunderstorms and heavy rains this afternoon and evening. Walter cut some more sweet cloves and Aubrey raked. Mr. {Navid Haret?} of St. Jacobs was here for dinner. Walter, Ella & Vernom were at a strawberry {?} at Ed. Beuden's which was held in honor of Mr. Adams who is leaving shorty for Toronto.
