Tues. 8. Very high West Wind today cold and cloudy broke up housekeeping and commenced boarding with Mrs Cowan took a walk this afternoon down to Mr George Harding's and Mr John Harding's on an errand for Mrs Cowan at Mr Chas Vanhorn for tea and spent the evening

November 12. Spent the eve at Mrs Cowan's {illegible} her stove at night so there would be fire there next morning it was an experiment but it it was a successful one she having had much trouble with it on previous occasions
