May 1905

Thursday 11th Contd. I got a Telegram from London about Aberdeen Angus Specials and one from Toronto to meet men. Pd for delivery 50c Telegram ans 25 .75
Friday 12th fine Mr Stewart left this morning does not like farming & his nephew is staying for a Short time. Harry Macey left this morning. pd him $2075 I brought home some lumber 380 feet of 2 & 3 in maple flooring to floor the kitchen price to be $50 per Thousand N.P. Father Plowing all day J. S. Churning. I sowed carrots & chored in Afternoon 20.75

Saturday 13th fine Father finished plowing in manure. in No 1. I Sowed some mangels & rape & planted Early potatoes, And we fixed fences in afternoon
Sunday 14th fine & Showery Father & Mary went to Church in morning and Mother Jimmie & I in Evening. heard Rev Marshall on the trials of life it was very good showing that the only way to real greatness & happiness came through bravely meeting all difficulties and overcoming them Col. 30. 10. 02. .30 .10 .02
Monday 15th Dull We did Father harrowed root ground and, Jimmie & I chored & laid some floor in the kitchen. Mr William Elliot & his son came to see our stock in Evening
