| + | Spent pratically all day getting grain ready for the show. Jean and I got the mail with car and had a little ride up home after the "flail". Had my first experience using it threshing barley after dinner. Mr. Watson came to look at the apples. | ||

August Saturday 20 1927
Dan and I got in four loads of oats in the morning and made four trips after dinner and finished our harvest for 1927. We had 7 1/2 loads wheat, 1 load of barley, and 33 loads of oats. Had a nice shower of rain about 7.30 so none of us went to town. We are thankful to have all our grain in in such good shape. Had a nice bath and retired early. Mr. Wilson & wife and his sister called on us in afternoon.
