First morning I haven't help Jean milk or eaten breakfast with her since we were married. Bees attacked Fly so had to unhook. Spent rest of day preparing grain for the show. Rrained considerable of the afternoon as Jean & I didn't go to "Bendemere":as we intended. |

August Saturday 20 1927
Dan and I got in four loads of oats in the morning and made four trips after dinner and finished our harvest for 1927. We had 7 1/2 loads wheat, 1 load of barley, and 33 loads of oats. Had a nice shower of rain about 7.30 so none of us went to town. We are thankful to have all our grain in in such good shape. Had a nice bath and retired early. Mr. Wilson & wife and his sister called on us in afternoon.
Sunday 21
Attended church in the morning home for dinner and then afterwards we all went over to Cousin Jims for afternoon and tea. Dark when we got home. Marge and Bob McCrow & Andy Lushman came down when we were just starting chores and we drove them home later on in the evening in the Dodge with Dan as chauffeur.
