Line 1: Line 1:
Cleared this morning out in the barn a little and been watching our early crop of Lady Rock mangoes. From early pick with Mrs. Thomson about 8 o’clock and Bill went on cutting. Bill Donald came over. Line around the brick factory.

Thursday 29th. I forgot to say Mrs. Hulth and Herbert went home yesterday afternoon to see if the folks sent to have come. I saw Sam Robinson and ordered Mr. Uncle down right off. Bill and Herbert went down town right after breakfast. Bill helped Herbert and Hallett to pack up some stuff. Bill got home about 5 o’clock with the bay rake seat, grind stone, and hay forks. I worked in the morning and raked hay with Joe and Emery in the afternoon. Bill began cutting as soon as he came home and finished the field.

Friday 30th. We all worked in the hay all day. Sultry day.

Saturday, July 1st. Another splendid hay day. We finished cocking the corner field and hauled one load out of the plum orchard. Bill went to the celebration in the afternoon and as I was about I cut thistles. Ray came up last night.
