AUGUST. -8TH MONTH. 1881.
1. MONDAY. [213-152]
Took off stones & stumps off summer fallow adn took down old goat house.
Afternoon harrowing. Evening Ploughing. Th epods are cut in squale blocks rather rough tooking. Very warm & plough hard to hold. Called on John Duncan. we are to have his orcen & driver no Thrusday if all well.

Ploughing S. F. all day. very very hot; heat of pail that came but of old pool house. Father to Willie finished mangolds to Carols.
