Men choring and drawing out manure. Brock met me at night train. Hoshel and Sadie here in evening. Mother up to Roy's to see Harry. He sick with flu. Fine bright day.

FRIDAY, 17

Me choring. finished drawing out manure and bought in a load of corn. Brock up to Roys in evening. Fine but not very bright. Had a letter from Betty saying that Robt. Alvies is dead.
