Done chores and ploughed, cultivated, rolled, and harrowed groud for mangels. Sowed them in afternoon. Da picking up on some land down by bush after he had the ridges set up. A very sultry hot day. extreme heat.
TUESDAY, 3
Da Cultivated and sowed another wet spot that was left. Brock planted a few potatoes in garden and chopping. Washed the sheep in afternooon. Started to plough in corner field about five o'clock. Harry Booth here. Fine and very hot.
WEDNESDAY, 4
Ploughing in corner field Lou Booth came for 5 bags of potatoes. Brock to town at night. Very sultry hot day. Thunder in Evg.
