September MONDAY, 8

Brock at Moores threshing for a couple of hours in morning. At ditch rest of day. Grace + I down to Mc Ewings in evening. Fineand very warm high wind.

TUESDAY, 9

Digging ditch all day. I took Grace to seven train. She gone to Hanover. Quite dull and smoky all day. a little like rain.

WEDNESDAY, 10

Digging ditch all day. Mrs. Brown and miss Ritch here in afternoon. Brock to town at night. Quite dull and looking like rain. Misty from about five o'clock.
