Jan 1st Monday Mild - Isabel called in the morning for parcel for up the hill. {C Jevors?} for New Year's dinner - lucky spiders, kewpies {dolls}, Fumsups {good luck charms} - rabbit foot. Book for mother & cany for Jack. After dinner Mr. Dorkman called and Mrs. Beattie, Ted & Douglas Graham, Duncan & Dorothy had a chess tournament and Jen & Vic Mair called. Elmer King came over about 4 p.m. and Sand and played for us. 5 o'clock tea.
