October 1905

23 Monday, two funerals, in our Cemetery. Mrs. Bell 3rd Con., Co Smith from Glenroy, he died out west. To 2 tickets for Mifs McLeods entertainment – 1.00 1 gall coal oil 20, peppermints 1 bread Knife 15 Mrs. Brown to tea 1.25 15
24 Murdy went to Glen Robertson, Ann Hall 1/2 day 25. Doumilla ½ day. 25
25 Fine Doumil Came at 8 until evening 5 P.M. To steak 4 lbs. 40. Pa & I were at the entertainment last night. it was good. 40
26 Thanksgiving. Very few in Church. The off. was for Cornwall G. Hospital. Pa $1.00 Doumill. not working. Got. $1.00. 1.00

28 Dull & raw. I cut soap off pot. I was boiling 3 days To 1/2 bush salt Murdy went to Green Valley.
29 Fine day. Birdie. John and boy down
30. Snow ground white. Jimie put up the outsode sash. Murdy away. Pa & Jimie put in about half of the potatoes. Rachel's stubb. looks like a bullet hole took home the team and put Rachel back. Doumilla is done painting. he is going to Cornwall. Pa settled with him, paying him $3.50 - And $6.00 over the rent.
31 Ugly day. Govin and Mrs. Brown at Birdies. she got the baby christened. Peter Duncan Randolph. John Robertson N.B. here to dinner

2 Cold today. Oliver Montroy rented Prue house for winter. $1.50, And he is to repair it.

Bot at Wilie's 1/2 tea 20, sugar 25, molasses 22, currants 10, raisins 10, lamp 10. lamp wick 5, soda 5.

Doumilla left our house.

5 Rev Tanner preacjed at 3. P.M.
6 Began to snow at 7. A.M. Donald McCrimmon paid $15. on the 4th for ground rent. Gave receipt for the 15 And 6. he paid before. Mrs. St. Thomas paid 2 dollars for Oct rent. Rain in evening, 2 lbs butter 27 pr lb
7 Mrs. Pidgeon paid $3.00 for Oct. Rain. Murdy went to Bonville down the river, Mrs. Brown in. Mrs. Falkner called in afternoon.
8. Murray got home 7. P.M. To pan bread 20, rooled {?}, To 3 1/2 lbs steak.
9. Did not put up flag until 2. P.M. And I think it is a little over 1/2 mast. It is snowing and blowing, wind from the west. Jimie drew home the fence from the ministers lane, Oliver Montroy is putting up a wire netting along the lane to the Manse. Killed two old hens.
10 Cold but bright Jimie ploughing. Heard results of the Alberta Election, Liberal Government for them.
11 Flurries of snow. To coal oil 20. bread 20. To beef 42 Jimie cleaned the furnace piipes. 82
12 Fine dull day. Rev. Mathesson preached at 3 P.M. So far Nov..r has not been cold but dull and blustry. Snow and drizzle
