11 Jimie sowed 15 bush of oats, we sowed carrots & some mangols. Murdy and I were at the funeral of Mrs McCulloch, Alick Campbell's daughter, she was buried in the village burying ground.
12 Began to rain this morning before day, and was showery all day. Sold 1/2 bush potatoes to Defoe 25
13 A Mr Oglive preached today Jimie & Ran got boots made by Pigon our leather cost 2.50 2.50
14 Made a large washing. began to rain Far came 15 home Jimie went to Lancaster and took 2 calf skins
15 Still showery put the colts to {Carrwerny?} farm
16 Looked like being dry. I went to Murchisons and got 45 strawberry plants and planted them and while I was on the road, the rain poured down. Tom Collet put 1 cow in pasture
17. Sowed carrots, beets mangols, turnips
18 dry today cold wind, Jimie ploughed the lot at the barn, we will plant it tomorrow. Colett took cow out

25 Jimie ploughing. Far put a platform at the cook house door Dan Fergusson, sneak, put his cow into our Garden {Jo?} did Partridge.
26 Mosquitoes in myriads, the house is full of them, Sold 2 dox eggs 28 cts.. got sulpher 5 cts.. Cleaned up the door yard Ran is fishing and selling mecers, letter from Sandy 5
27 Rained a little this morning, enough to settle the dust Rev. Mr Paterson of Montreal who is at J.A's, preached read Isiah 60. & 5 of Matth. text from the 3 to the 17 verse of the 5 chap of Matth. that was Morning evening read Proverbs 8 chpt. 2d Corinth 4 chapt text 14 verse of 5 chapt 20 Cor. I liked his reading of this voice were good. He is a tall and has a bauld head looks like Principal Grant.
28 Dull day with frequent showers. Jimie sowed provender. Bird has tooth ache. There was an explosion in Gass works in Montreal on Saturday. 4 men Killed & 5 seriously injured. Two one {Gouhles?} married in St. Mary's today Alick Sanderson's daughter and a painter of Barrets. And Saturay Sable had a mare colt about 10. P.M. it was black as jet.
29. We were cutting potatoes for planting. Jimie went this afternoon to plough at the 30. acres We sent 4 bush of oats to Monkhouse who is going to plant them on shears for Sullivan put cow in pasture so did Tom Collett
30 I was busy all day and did not go to Prayer Meeting. was cutting potatoes. They planted about 10 bush on Village farm.
31 Far went this morning to Montreal to hear Gillmore's band of instrumental music. Pa Murdy & Ran finished planting potatoes, we have in all over 30 bush potaotes planted. 5 + 4.43 + 3.99 = 8.47
