19 {cont.} Have all the hay on Pelons place cut
20 Put 8 loads of hay in. I went to pick berries Hugh Boumhours. got 2 qrts. got 4 lbs steake from. Carr. is charged 40 cts
21 Finished the hay on the village barn. Marion boots 1-35
22 Fine day. Morning and evening services very good
23 Boys began to cut the hay in the Carenney place. paid Carr. 40. for Saturday. steake 56, for stew. 96
24 Sent $.30. to Ottawa for Far.
25 Got 1 lb. green tea 25. 1 lb black tea 25, 1 lb currants 2 lb black strap 10. rice 60 20
26 Had Carrie Slack, and her visitor Miss Thompson and Jennett & Bella McLennan & Lilly McDonel spending the evening. Finished the hay harvest.
27 Mury Birdie Ran & Marion went picking berries got about 20 qrts I cooked {Jam?} with half their weight in sugar sold 12 bush oats $600
28 Far. came home this morning.
29. Fine day. large congregation Far went off in the Afternoon
30. Pa left at 5.50. for Lancaster on route for Caledonia Springs. He bought on Saturday two undershirts at Willie's 90 cts. each. Charged two collars 40 cts. 1 neck tie 20. at Dan's Sam Edwards paid $.500 for rent 1.80 60
31 Birdie 1 pair slippers at J.A.'s 100 4 loaves = 26. I washed the spare bedroom upstairs yesterday and am pretty tyred. Murdy was very sick yesterday with diharie I got 1 bottle Fowlers extract of wild Strawberries. 36 cts. it stopped the cramps and nausea Mrs Grant and Mary are here to remain all night.
