The boys went to the fair at Alex. took Jetty to exhibit got nothing for her. got 1st prize for colliflower 50. 2nd. for beets 2n for Carrots. 75 each Amount 2<u>00</u> one was kept for fee  the 2nd day of fair was wet, and coming home was dark and ugly. </td>

{17 cont.} went to school and is going to board at John Roy's
18 9 P.M. Was fine all day but about 8 P.M. it began to rain. We butchered our pig it weighed over 300, And trimmed a pig to Sam Pa gave $26. 50 for 1000 of flour. I sent a letter to Leitch Lawyer this evening. Mrs D.A. McDonell is very poorly, said to be cancer of stomach 26.50
19 Very fine day busy all day. A goodly number at Prayer Meeting Rev. K. McDonald gave a very impressive address

21 8.50 P.M. raining. Lancaster Juniors & Wom tson Juniors Olimpeans played a friendly game of Lacrosse, this afternoon Olimpeans took three stright. 4 baskets of peaches, sent from Sandy. yesterday. 28 Friday Murdy Jimie & Far were at a party at Lancaster Murdy got a nice silver watch and F & J. got breast-pins from The Excelsiors. John Calanach got a silver basket Slick Sullivan got pin studs sleeve buttons
29 Murdy went to Montreal this evening. got $.3. I sent a letter to Duff & Fran Auctioneers Mont. 12 for stove 63 18 + 7 94 = 71.12
