October 1888

13 Saturday. Raining all day. I washed some of the ceiling of the hall upstairs, and put the flowers in the windows. Jimie went to Cornwall to see the Lacrosse game between Shamrocks of Montreal and the Cornwall s. There has been a break of abobut 150 feet in the Cornwall canal at {Millesuche?} it will take two weeks to fix it Auntie & Jimie were here last night, she gave me 35 cts. being the freight on the peaches
14. Preaching in the Hall, today
15. I washed today, P. Jim & Ran are letting the water of the potatoes at the village farm Rubber boots for Jim. 2.75
16. Had a letter from Murdy. D. H McKenzie died this afternoon.
