December 1890

24 This was a very fine day. Yesterday had been equally Mrs Rory McLennan (back of Swamp) was buried here today. she had been ailing for a long time, And died Monday morning. There was a large funeral All the popular people in the country were there. The Nuns had a bazaar.
25 Fien day. nothing of any consequence happened
26 We were all at the entertainment in St Hall last night. I borrowed 50 cts from Bird. The social was a success. $81 taken at the door The night was magnificent, full moon, no wind lots of frost It turned stormy today Bird Marion Ran & Myself went to clean the Hall & dishes
27 Donald Dougald came to see us. Jennet Bella & Duncan McLennan came when we were going to dinner. Duncan went back after tea. the girls are to stay a few days Murdy went for Far
28 I did not go to Morning service I went in the evening Goshan Howie (an Oriental) gave an address
29 Done nothing all day but cook and eate
30 Sarah McL. came for the girls this morning And Bridie went with them to go with Jennet to Montreal. Jimie & Marion went also, drove Sable
