December 1892

16 The Concert was Kept in until 11.30 P.M. I gave Marion 25. Birdie gave me 2.50. for value received. Ran came home at 7.30 .
17 We butchered lassy today, Sam opened her gave him 50 cts. It is pretty frosty. Far went to Lancaster. drove Vesuvius
18 I did not go to church today. was too late getting up. Dan & Lizzie were here to dinner.
19 Snow. There is abu=out 4 inches Donald Dougald came in the evening. Birdie took up the carpet of the sitting room, washed windows & woodwork & curtains Jim & Murdy took home straw Got 1 gall coal oil 16
20 It turned cold in the night Far drove Rufus & Vesuvius to the bobsleigh today.
21 I went to prayer meeting. The Hall was cold and full of brush
22 Jimie went to Lancaster to meet J.C. Brown he called at Cheese King's and got the balance of the cheese money $.19. Cadets organized today
23. Pa borrowed $19. from Uncle M. The Collector was here our taxes are $50.78. Got at J.A's gran sugar 21 lbs $100 brown do. 26 lb. 100 4 lb raisin 25. Put may in stable 1- 1.25
24. 4 below zero this morning. Jimie got 1 pair horse rugs. 1 sersingle {sercingle}1.50. Pa paid Peggy Neal $20.00 got some apples Ran got some cobbling done at Pigons.
