July 1893

12. {cont.} beginning, there wer not so many of the farmers present. what was there had fun
13 Jimie cut a little of the hay today. Our summer colt fell into the well on the farm on Saturday or Sunday and was drowned. Marion & I went to get Mrs Moorhouse to sign a note
14 There is an excursion from Cornwall to 1000 Isls. by rail & boat , fee 1.60 Marion & I went to Peggy's They are well thought to get berries. There were none boy put in two loads of hay.
15 All the boys went to Montreal to play with Cornwall juniers against the Cresants, now 9.30. P.M. they did not get back
16 The boys got back at midnight pretty badly battered
17 Washed in morning. There was rain all afternoon Got at W. 2 3/4 butter 50. 1/2 doz lemon 15 3 cans salmon 30 1 bottle Ex 1.5
18 Pretty fine day but not good for harvest
19 Boys put in 4 loads into farm barn 3 loads in home barn
20 In fore noon put 3 loads in home barn. 3 in afternoon. A Persian lectured J. 10. Ma 5 myself 5 20
21 Got a {Majvos?} 5 lb steak 50. 7 1/2 lb neck 22. 4 lb rice at Willies 20. put in 4 loads here. Ran to Prescott 72
22 Began to rain about 6. A.M. showered all day. About 2 P.M. there was very heavy thunder Got 100 sugar 16 lbs
23 Ran got home about 6 2.30 A.M. It showered for most of the day. wind kind of cold.

Birdie & Marion went to Lancaster on Friday with Ran Bird bot Marion black lace 4 yds 44 cts she got some for herself
