March 1906
1 Thursday. Bright day. Cold N.W. wind. {symbol - for bought?} 4 lbs butter from factory. A meeting in the vestry to try and organize a singing school. Bud of Brockvill is the man {symbol - for bought?} {illegible} wheat 50 cts
2 Not so cold. Very bright. No sleiging, all wheels. Christy McIntyre called to see me. Murdy 20 coal oil.
3 Another fine day 9 a.m. P.M. turned to snow
4 Mild a little snow. The death of Archie McArthur at Lancaster last night announced today
5 Fine day. Mrs. Pidgeon paid two months rent on Saturday $6.00
6 Very fine day. F Robertson called, he came to the funeral of A. McArthur. Mrs Mowet, Clara Kennedy called, D.B. {name - McLesser?} and Charlotte took tea with us. And John Robertson N.B. Also Murdy by 1 lb cakes {a sort of circle drawn here}
7 I baked bread, Murdy by pan bread 20 {a sort of circle drawn at end of line next to bread} Dull looks like snow or rain, Marion sent three S. silver dessert spoons to me by Clara
8 Dull day. {name Jimie?} went to Cornwall today. Snow in afternoon. Lilly Falkner was married to a Mr. Downs' from Brandon N.W.
