Saturday Aug. 21st

Very wet day. Rain poured dpwm amd beat into cottage (2 front rooms upstairs) Dashed Dorothy's clothes = muddy blouse, smock, Georgette blouse, 2 Skirts, 2 pairs hose, 2 brassieres, 1 vest, 1 camisole, 1 gown and 2 hdkfs.{handkerchiefs}. Ironed part of them and she finished what was dry. Lake in the back yard. Started by centrepiece. Went over to Charlie's to play seven-up with Doug and Isabel. Too rough for boys to go back to Southampton. They, Doug. Nickle and Dorothy played bridge. Went to store twice for Clare. Had my Morning swim (still on wings)
