(who arrived about 1.30 with Mrs. Start) Mrs. Start, Nell, Teddy Neelands and Jack Wyse started for Southampton in the Naidauac towing their canoe. Helped make a lunch for them. Margaret and Sophy had two car loads of friends visit them this afternoon. Lovely evening - getting warmer. Wrote to Alfyth Hooper. Mrs. Ryan, Mrs. Luton and Mr. McDonald. (for Mr. Mickle re call on Miss Ellis.)

Cool morning but fine. Dorothy got cold outside last night (sleeping in the hammock since Mother came up) Got her warmed up in her Aunt Clare's bed. Helped her get packed up and packed the trunk she left behind. She and Doug. Nickle started for a week's visit in Kingston. Washed up all her clothes. After dinner Duncan, Charles & I rowed over to Montrose to call on Maris - not at home (I rowed all the way over - 2 miles. Coming back we waited in the Middle of the channel for the Naidauac
